  1. As things stand there should be tickets available on the gate, but can't be guaranteed. In the event of a rain off, refunds are available if it's before heat 4 as per the cancellation policy
  2. Wolves and Poole aren't being hit with the same problems. They are selling out but still can't make enough money as the capacity is too low. Newcastle and Birmingham seem to be struggling to sell tickets full stop. But both seem to be ignoring other avenues to sell tickets.
  3. I don't really understand why it's anyone's business what the capacity is. It's a very good tactic to keep it close to your chest to drive sales. And I certainly don't see it as arrogant to state something so obvious. Why is it such a small traffic forum feels they should be addressed personally by the clubs?
  4. How bad is Heeps injury? Replacing Bacon and Heeps could bring Adam and a 4/5 pointer in
  5. Wouldn't surprise me if they just allowed that to happen tbh!
  6. Adam Ellis has signed somewhere in the Championship so could well be Kent. But I can't see how he's got an 8 ave? Didn't start the season in championship so should be a conversion of his 6.49 premiership which is 9.74?
  7. Drew flew home, Anders drove as to not come into contact with anyone other than at petrol stations!
  8. Trust me, they have every influence. At Redcar we have our own guy from event genius who deals with all our problems and sets everything up how we want it
  9. Apart from the meeting. That line would work if they used him in heat 13/15 when all was dead and buried but not heat 1! Shows no ambition to win from the off
  10. For me, it's simply about finding a way to make it easier for those people. Advanced tickets don't have to just be online. But that isn't the reason people aren't buying tickets. There is only a handful of people that have absolutely no access to any form of internet whether it be through grandchildren etc.
  11. It's always been quoted that clubs are running to local authority rules.
  12. My point still stands. They didn't sell out of available tickets.
  13. They had tickets on the gates against Redcar. It's all about putting things in place for those people. Offer them an option to buy in advance in person or over the phone.
  14. I can understand restricted capacity being a problem (wolves have had their regular crowd cut by more than half) but Birmingham haven't sold out of tickets on any occasion? That says to me it's more an issue that the promotion aren't pulling in the crowd.
  15. It's not a first try, it's a professional production company!
  16. There were plenty racing with a higher average than Jenkins
  17. I think you'll find they just aren't used to dirt. And with the way the weather was, and the pressure of producing a brilliant track to combat Wednesday it was quite grippy!
  18. It all depends on the team average to start. If the team built below 38 points they can field a 3* rider regardless of the * they chose to begin with. If 39, then 2*. 1* is treated the same as a 2* anyway
  19. What a lot of people replying on this thread don't seem to understand is that the dry/dusty track was NOT the issue. Riders from both sides were not happy at the patchy track around 6/6:30. Some areas of the track were solid and dry. Others were very soft and wet. Once the top had been scraped off the track was always going to be dry, water wouldn't have helped as it would have become an ice rink with no dirt for it to soak in to! Stewarts crash was 100% the tracks fault. Grobauer couldn't turn his bike (something every rider struggled with on most bends) and ploughed into the back/side of Stewart. Birmingham's press release is an insult to Redcar and the paying public.
  20. He's talking about Scunthorpe and saying people are now moving to Redcar instead because Scunthorpe don't water, grade and it's tarmac
  21. Ellis isn't with an Ekstraliga club. He rides Div 2 (3rd league). That allows him to ride in 2 other leagues, Sweden and Premiership.
  22. I guess that depends if he'd signed for 2021 or not. Can't punish a guy for his 2020 contract
  23. Like I say, come have a go! Anyone willing to volunteer 6 hours on a Saturday to go out publicly and try keep people entertained gets praise in my book. They always be doyles like you wanting to slate them but never step up and volunteer your own expertise. Personally think that talking for 3.5 hours to a microphone connected to the entire internet with no previous experience is some good going! Talking over extended breaks when absolutely nothing is happening for half an hour. Drop me a message and we'll get you lined up for the next one and see if you get as much praise as they have
