  1. In fairness, a percentage works much better than a set number
  2. It may have been amended and announced afterwards, but that was the first bit I saw to show the rule was announced at least
  3. I'd say they had a lot less that 600 there last week! Absolute max would be 400. They've now got an away meeting at Edinburgh on Friday to pay out too, not looking good!
  4. http://speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.37693
  5. They did. Back in 2020 when it was brought in
  6. Whilst it might seem a crazy rule for the other team, all these rising stars are young lads that need as much track time as possible. Someone like Dan now on a 6pt ave probably wouldn't get many guest bookings as you'd have any 6pt AVE rider to choose from
  7. The tyres seem to have been a bigger issue for the fans than they have the riders. Once the riders learned they needed more air in them than the Mitas things tended to improve. They were actually turning down the spare new tyres last night with it being so slick. THJ - that outside line will come on cooler days when moisture can stay in the track for sure, and with it being smoother more riders will dare to go for it. Trollop will have got some tips off Jonny Swales on the prep too.
  8. The same track curator that did Redcar on Friday and had most of the Newcastle team expressing how much they enjoyed riding it despite the result!
  9. It's been in place since 2020 to stop teams having to field a NL rider if their no.1 is missing
  10. Track was the best I've seen it in years. Lacking a little moisture to create anything on the outside but had clearly been prepared for the inside cut backs the way it was ripped up! Certainly smoother than Rough Park of old!
  11. Agreed! Interestingly he moves into the team away at Poole but not for Plymouth the night before...
  12. I'll just leave this here... " but shall otherwise be replaced by any guest rider from the Rising Star list of that teams rating or below."
  13. Dan's comes into effect on the 28th according to the SCB. That's not Redcars choice, it's written in the documents. So until then he could replace anyone on his 2.00 average the same as James did on his 4.00 average despite currently averaging higher than that. And after his average is in effect he is still a 1*, so even Newcastle could use him if Archie found himself unfortunately injured
  14. But currently a 2 No different to James Wright guesting for Poole on his 4 when he's averaging higher!
  15. Forget averages. Anyone on the rising star list can replace a rising star above or equal to their category.
  16. Ernie you are wrong. Rolling averages are calculated upto and including the 23rd of each month. Coming into effect on the 1st. When Dan's average comes into effect is stated on the greensheet, highlighted in green to state that is the change on version 11.
  17. And regardless of this, he is listed as 1* therefore can replace Jenkins on a 2*. Average doesn't come into it
  18. It is a green sheet adjustment, it literally says it on the green sheet that's why it's highlighted in green
  19. Nothing to do with leniency, it's all well within the rules laid out for the season!
  20. Bowtell is guest for Anders Rowe who had a 4.23 average. Bowtell is below that
