  1. Deano you clearly don't know what you're talking about so it's easier for you to just stop talking. The track work had no influence from Redcar other than us wanting a safe track to ride. The only way to make it safe was to make it slick and dusty. The main problem with Birmingham, and it was the same in our first visit, is the inconsistent surface. It is soft in places and like concrete elsewhere. This not only creates ruts but also throws riders around as the bike grips/spins with the changing surface. Harris even admitted it was "fair enough" that Redcar complained. He also struggled with his practice laps to okay the surface, being thrown about on bends 1 & 2 particularly. Redcar have nothing to be sorry for if Birmingham don't come to the tapes next season. It's purely down to an inadequate promotion who have consistently blamed everything/everyone but themselves.
  2. I believe the champ cut off is 26th Sept. The dates of play offs will depend on who faces who. There's a fair few Friday night tracks in the hunt and none will want to give up their regular race night for such big meetings
  3. There is a difference though! Premiership is full of 1,3,5 and maybe 4s of the championship. Therefore every race is a different level to championship
  4. Either/or it doesn't reflect on anything to do with speedways finances
  5. Or he's a young lad that's worked to pay for nice things?!
  6. But also a new parent needing to pay bills so that philosophy wouldn't work
  7. Key word being assume. The ban for non speedway related injuries/illness is when a sick note isn't produced (bit daft as in the UK it takes 7 days to even get one). But as you can prove a Covid jab has taken place it wouldn't incur a ban?
  8. Any rider is better than none if someone falls off/retires!
  9. There will of course be legitimate cases. But some of the sick notes used in speedway are laughable! What I'm saying is it's open to manipulation. "Overnight" in a foreign hospital can be written be anyone with a blurry business card pretending to be a doctor!
  10. There was an MDSL match on after so plenty of options for a number 8 not taken by Poole
  11. The problem with allowing a signing for an injured rider after the cut off is who determines they're injured? Aarnio is no longer featuring for Scunthorpe but is riding elsewhere, but a magical sick note is being used in the UK. Any team could do the same to strengthen if needed
  12. Summers scored well for Berwicks trip to scunny!
  13. I'm guessing these are based on all rides taken and not averaged over 4 races?
  14. It was maybe the ref that brought it to the attention of the managers? As he'd have access to the very current GSA?
  15. Haha yes, but they'll use the declared teams which are due in 5 days before
  16. Probably because they used the GSA released on 28/08 and the new one hasn't been released yet. Remember previews and programmes are written a few days before
  17. It was his 4th home meeting he was waiting to complete, which was last Wednesday against newcastle. Eastbourne, Glasgow, Plymouth and Redcar were his 4 away meetings.
  18. Id say it would take a good few meetings to pay for itself. A few seem to think you can just stick a camera at a track and stream it out, definitely not that easy!
  19. Where's the weakness at 2? He's had one bad meeting all year pretty much!
