  1. Do you not eat on the other 6 days a week? If you sit down to watch Eastenders at tea time, do you add the cost of your meal to the cost of the TV licence and then rant at the BBC? The cost of food is purely your choice. If I go up to Manchester on a Monday, I just throw a sandwich together. So I probably spend less on food that night than I would for dinner on a non-speedway night. £61 for a family ticket seems decent value to me. But you could always go on the NSS back straight with a family for £46. That's £11.50 each. Try and go to a football match for £11.50. (And I won't even mention the cost of going to see Taylor Swift sing a few songs at a distance of 200 yards). Sometimes Speedway supporters are just big whingers.
  2. I was going to buy the stream with it being the first round, but with Poole being rather shady in their false advertising, I'll probably save my money and buy one of the other rounds. Give my money to a more honest club
  3. Think Oxford have too much strength in depth. Especially at reserve. 51-39
  4. That's what we've been saying all along. Someone in the Poole press office has got themselves confused.
  5. Nope. Definitely you who is confused. The NDLRC is a series of meetings. Poole are holding the first one.
  6. Sounds like someone in the Poole press office has got themselves confused then. The NDLRC is over a number of rounds. The first being at Poole.
  7. The NDL Riders Championship is being held over a number of rounds at different tracks, although the only rounds I know of so far are Poole, Leicester and Edinburgh. The first round is at Poole.
  8. Is a 40-year-old really the best unattached 3.00 junior that Oxford can find? Same applies to the 35-year-old at No1 for Middlesbrough.
  9. Presumably because Worrall pleaded guilty with mitigating circumstances. Whereas Complin pleaded Not Guilty and they had to go through the formal hearing to prove it.
  10. Good to see the SCB reporting when riders aren't drugs cheats. On Sunday 12th May 2024 the Racoo Anti - Doping Team attended the Leicester Cubs v Belle Vue Colts National League fixture where two riders from each team were randomly selected and tested. All four riders tested produced a negative result.
  11. Is it a salaried position or commission-based? Can you DM the application form? Is there a pension scheme?
  12. Jack Smith replaces Nathan Ablitt at No.1
  13. 5 hours on a good day. I'd allow 7 hours on a Bank Holiday.
  14. Feel for Birmingham there, done over by Sheffield having a tac sub. Sheffield very lucky to win
  15. Luke Killeen (OXF) 7.73 Luke Harrison (SCU) 6.86 Ace Pijper (SCU) 5.81 Jody Scott (OXF) 5.31 Chad Wirtzfeld (BV) 3.81 Luke Crang (LEI) 3.61 Harry McGurk (BV) 3.00 36.13
  16. Can't honestly remember if he was banned for drugs, but the kind of drug dealing Courtney was involved in was not tiny amounts, and I can't imagine someone being a drug dealer of that level without having been a user to some extent. You don't get many vegan butchers. So using the odd morals of some people, a mugger of grannies is far safer to be in Speedway than Mark Courtney, Richie Worrall, Frank Smart, or Roger Lobb. But back to the subject in hand, can anyone actually confirm, did the Plymouth Press Day take place today? And if so, did they name the full team?
