  1. Why would you want Zischke in the top 5 when he can be a match-winning reserve?
  2. I reckon the best possible team would have been Sam Hagon 8.24 Ben Trigger 6.34 Jody Scott 5.31 Jason Garrad 4.77 Dayle Wood 4.50 Vinnie Foord 3.81 Sonny Springer 3.00 35.97 That would have gone to 55.72
  3. LOL Pretty much all of the above is so way off reality p.s. I've never met Nieve.
  4. Ah yes. Older established riders like Will Cairns. That's why, since Stoke's closure, I go to Belle Vue, to see them win the NDL every year with old established riders and not bringing in 15 and 16 year olds like Dan Bewley, Kyle Bickley, Jack Smith, Leon Flint, Jordan Palin, Harry McGurk, Sam McGurk, Connor Bailey, Freddy Hodder, Will Cairns etc
  5. What makes you think they'll bring in a "3 league rule" ?
  6. Do you honestly think Birmingham and Lynn "passed up" on the opportunity to sign Jenkins? Or do you think they were told "Keep off Jenkins and let him go to Ipswich, and Uncle Phil will sort you out with a little reward in other areas of the team"? Sheffield have been very cute. By having Gilkes at No.6 on 3.26 and Flint as rising star, they come in exactly on 40.00. Had they kept Gilkes as Rising Star, they couldn't have fitted Flint in on 3.56 as they would have been 0.3 over the limit. However it makes a mockery of the Rising Star system as Flint will get protected rides, whereas Gilkes, who needs the protected rides, will get thrown to the Wolves.
  7. If we take the actual top 20 riders, Luke Harrison is 13th Sam Hagon 11.03 William Cairns 10.67 Joe Thompson 10.37 Luke Killeen 9.96 Ben Trigger 8.98 Jake Mulford 8.86 Jason Garrad 8.73 Jody Scott 8.68 Nathan Ablitt 8.56 Connor Coles 8.42 Max James 8.30 Dayle Wood 8.08 Luke Harrison 8.00 Vinnie Foord 7.86 Freddy Hodder 7.82 Tom Spencer 7.80 Max Perry 7.40 Ace Pijper 7.02 Matt Marson 7.00 Ashton Vale 6.94
  8. Oh dear, still lying. As someone else has said. "what a sad life"
  9. Don't worry mate. The meeting didn't start at 8.05pm. (The poster you are replying to is a known troll with a history of making up lies). However the meeting did finish at 9.05pm. 95 minutes from start to finish is very acceptable. Rain certainly affected the spectacle, (as it did for the SoN), but even so, only 1 rider fell all night. Chad Wirtzfeld was worth the admission alone, coming from 15 minute handicap to win. All that is needed for the GP is for the FIM and let the usual BV track staff get on with it in their usual impressive way. Can't wait for a G.P. at the best track in the world,
  10. Writing nonsense again? The tapes up at 20:05 will have been about heat 5. The whole meeting was completed by 21:05 There was one faller in the entire meeting. (Matt Marson slid off when he was being passed and tried to turn the bike harder to defend his position). The only thing that spoilt anything was the rain. You don't get the best racing in the rain (although there were still more passes than the Premiership play-off final second leg).
  11. The guy who commentated on Screensport and annoyingly always said "And away they droive from the start" was Clive Fisher. not Dave Lanning.
  12. That was hardly a choke. More a case of dodgy goings-on. Weather was terrible and the second leg was called off by Cradley around lunchtime, and all riders were informed. Then Cradley decided they would run in the rain after all, and reversed the call-off decision later in the afternoon. In those pre-mobile phone days Belle Vue couldn't get hold of all the team to tell them it was back on, and ended up having to borrow a couple of local juniors to make up a team. Then of course Peter Collins and Chris Morton were knocked off and put out of the meeting injured (Collins with the broken shoulder which would effectively end his career). That left Belle Vue with just Louis Carr and Pekka Hautamaki from the original team, and of course they were well beaten.
  13. These voices that keep telling you things. Are they in the room with us now?
  14. That doesn't make sense. It was pretty obvious that Mulford would come into heat 11 to replace Blodorn (or could come into heat 12 or 14 to replace Vuolas). When Cook was injured, it meant Mulford had to ride in heat 14, so there was no need to bring him into 11 or 12. Had Lemon panicked and put Mulford in heat 9, he'd have ended up taking 4 rides.
  15. Apparently Liam Gallagher phoned Mark Lemon to check dates before announcing their Oasis tour. Said he didn't want a clash of dates with their Manchester gigs because he and their kid were worried about losing out on income.
  16. I wonder how will British fans react when the 2025 GP calendar is released? Will they support both GPs? Will they desert Cardiff? Will they just stick with Cardiff only?
  17. What are you worried about? Everyone knows who the guest is.
  18. The rules have never been that you can only use a guest for No.1 or reserves.
  19. Apart from the Ipswich injuries pushing them off the top, I don't think I was too far out with the predicted finishing order
  20. Makes perfect sense to me. He's pointing out facts. The teams with the disadvantage of the weakest RS are at the top end of the league. The teams with the advantage of the strongest RS are at the bottom end of the league. Therefore, the relative strengths of the RS are pretty insignificant in the scheme of things.
  21. STATEMENT FROM BRITISH SPEEDWAY PROMOTERS LTD We would like to clear up a misunderstanding amongst Speedway supporters regarding the appointment of Phil Morris to oversee the Premier League and its play-offs. When we appointed Phil Morris "to fix" British Speedway, it seems that some fans have stupidly misunderstood our use of the verb "to fix" These imbecile fans thought we were using the verb "to fix" in the sense of "to repair; mend; to put in order or in good condition". (e.g. the plumber fixed the leaky toilet) The BSPL would like to clarify that we were of course using the verb "to fix" in the sense of "to arrange or influence the outcome or action of, especially privately or dishonestly" (e.g. Vladimir Putin fixed the American election). It is clear to anyone with half a brain that we never intended for Phil Morris to repair, mend, or put the sport in good order. We hope that fans will now fully understand that Phil Morris has indeed successfully fixed the Premiership. Meanwhile the BSPL toilet is still leaking.
  22. Why don't we just give Birmingham the league trophy? After all, they tried their best! And if all teams are in agreement, what's the issue?
  23. If Neil, the announcer, is now a woman, that is certainly the biggest news from this meeting!
