  1. Simpson drops to 3.00 from 9 June. Parker could be in for 14 days until they kick him out and reinstate Simpson. (Unless Simpson goes somewhere closer to home... )
  2. They had to replace Bickley. They didn't have to kick Simpson out. It was their choice to kick a kid out and bring another Dad's Army member in.
  3. Thought Armadale Devils had changed their name to Edinburgh Monarchs Academy as they wanted to develop young riders? Shocking that they've kicked a young kid out, so that they can build Dad's Army with Roynon, Clegg and Wood.
  4. Roynon a more than adequate replacement. Currently averaging 10.33 from 3 matches against Dan Thompson's 9.60 from a similar 3 matches. Can't see anyone getting close to Leicester at home. 55-35
  5. Sad but true. If they lose the appeal they can go back and keep resubmitting slightly different plans, and in the meantime some more of the stadium "accidentally" gets set on fire. But while there is still hope we've got to keep fighting. And with that in mind I see the letter suggests that comments can be made on the planning portal. So I'm wondering can someone from the Save Coventry Stadium group advise if there are any comments that an ordinary fan could make on the portal that would be helpful? Or are we beyond that stage?
  6. Will Jacob Hook be allowed to continue riding in the NDL now that he's lost his Championship place? I don't know how visas and permits work, but don't you have to have a professional job paying a guaranteed amount of money per week to be allowed to stay in the country? Now that he's lost his professional source of income will he be allowed to continue NDL or will immigration tell him to sling his proverbial?
  7. Don't think it will be that great a test. Don't see many teams coming away from Northside with a close result. Even if Harry McGurk rides and continues his poor run, I still see Workington topping 50 points quite easily. Complin and Trigger will put up a fight though. I'll go for 53-37
  8. Both teams at full strength with Connor King returning from a concussion suspension. Thoughts? I'll go 56-34
  9. Third v Second in the league as unbeaten Mildenhall with 5 wins out of 5 travel to Manchester. Track specialist Sam McGurk guests for Lee Complin. Thoughts?
  10. Not a chance. Oxford top 5 are very strong. Especially at home. 54-36
  11. Not sure how missing your No.1 gives you a boost. . Complin is a decent choice of guest, but not as good as having Bailey as Comets own No.1. Maybe missing Bailey gives Berwick a boost, but I still think Workington should have enough to win this one
  12. The European meeting? Couldn't schedule the KO Cup for a different date as it had been rained off twice and they were told it had to be completed this week to allow the semi-finals to go ahead.
  13. You want Belle Vue and Wolves to tell Great Britain and Germany that they can't pick their riders? And Wolves to tell Becker not to be so soft as it's only a broken bone?
  14. Best ever quiz answer was: "In his ancient Greek epic poems, Homer described Nectar as the drink of the gods. What did he say was the food of the gods?" Answer: Well I know Homer likes doughnuts. So I'll say doughnuts.
  15. Yes. Same situation as Wolves. Wright hasn't ridden this season, so Birmingham only get a facility for a maximum of 28 days, and that has now expired. They're not entitled to a facility anymore. AFAIK Wright is riding on Wednesday.
  16. No thoughts on this one? I predict a comfortable Oxford win 52-38
  17. Nos. 3 and 4 are practically identical. Neither is easier than the other.
  18. This has taken a lot longer than a normal British meeting... It's like watching Mildenhall
  19. Do they always arse about at the starts like this? Unsatisfactory start and they all dump their bikes walk to the start line and start gardening. 10 minutes to restart a race after an unsatisfactory start. zzzzzzz
  20. Maybe Tomalin offered a £20 note, and Chapman hasn't got change.
  21. The BBC Radio Cambs presenter and Ulrich Ostergaard doing a good job on the radio, but who's the other old bloke who keeps chipping in? He's awful. Hasn't got a clue.
  22. What is it? 13 or 14 falls and exclusions so far, and 2 riders withdrawn injured and a 3rd being looked at by the medics. Has nothing improved?
  23. No they didn't. They had their heat leader at 4 and second-string at 3. And, no they didn't either. They had their heat-leader at 3. Second-string was at 4.
