  1. Not long now until Ashton and Luke get proper averages though, which I can only assume would put oxford well over the limit then. Unless you drop them too (which would be harsh) or use the King's Lynn method of cancelling meetings to delay the average change... Erik for Jordan next month would fit just, so unless that's the plan I don't see what else they're gonna do. 1. Sam Masters 2. Henry Atkins 3. Cameron Heeps 4. Erik Riss 5. Scott Nicholls 6. Ashton Boughen 7. Luke Killeen Looks a lot better imo. Personally I'd drop Henry if I could, don't rate him much, particularly away from home, but can't see any logical moves, perhaps he will score better when he drops to reserve.
  2. Big bubba from cell block 3 is probably missing him
  3. I used to ride with Harry during his NJL days. He always was a big talent and I'm sure it's still in there. He did average 7 for belle vue one year, so he's got what it takes. Just needs to iron out his few problems/decide if he wants it. I'm genuinely unsure of his injury past/fitness which is why I'm wondering if he's broken his arm recently? With the movements he was doing after he pulled up in each race? Or is he really just that race rusty Think it was just a few second half races, not an NJL meeting. All races were 500s, redcar always have second halves on and it's brilliant. Perhaps Danny wants to use these chances to try new set ups rather than during a NDL meeting? It's a great opportunity for all the middlesbrough riders in all honesty. I do agree he SHOULD be much better than the NJL.
  4. Just because he pulled up doesn't mean he had bike issues... looked like he was struggling with arm pump, which is worrying after only 1 and a half rides... has he injured his arms recently? Heat 1: Harry McGurk 1st, Danny Phillips 2nd, kyran Lyden 3rd - Harry by a mile, Danny and kyran close to eachother, but never close enough to pass. Heat 2: Lee Harrison 1st, Katie Gordon 2nd, Dan McTeer 3rd - Spread out by the end Harrison flying, loves the outside line it seems. Heat 3: Danny Phillips 1st, kyran Lyden 2nd, Harry McGurk Ret - Harry by a mile then pulls up on back straight of last lap waving his arms about as if they're cramping, Danny and kyran close together but never close enough to pass. Heat 4: Katie Gordon 1st, Dan McTeer 2nd, Lee Harrison fell - Harrison leading by a mile again but fell on bend 4 lap 4 after what looks like his rear covers half falling off his bike and getting stuck under his back wheel, another impressive ride though. Heat 5: Danny Phillips 1st, Kyran Lyden 2nd, Harry McGurk Ret - Harry by a mile then pulls up on the back straight of lap 2 looking to have more arm issues. Heat 6: same as heat 2. Lee Harrison looks like he's gonna be good once he gets a bit more experience on the 500s. Anyone got any extra info on him? Sorry I don't have any times, I don't usually keep track of them, or buy a programme for that matter. However I heard someone remark that Harry's winning time in heat 1 was only 2 seconds off the pace of the main meeting, he was pretty far in front. If he could string 4 rides like that together in the National League he'd be one of the top riders. Just hope he can sort his issues out, whatever they may be.
  5. Stop talking sense, that's not allowed on here. He must hit the ground running and be able to ride tracks he's never seen before from day 1!! Tut tut. It's not his fault that Birmingham have been build so poorly, he's a solid rider but to be thrown in the deep end at number 1, partnered with Tom or Steve (two experienced campaigners) and against the likes of Jack Holder, Tai Woffinden, Maciej Janowski, Emil Sayfutdinov, Jason Doyle, Chris Harris. He's never going to score to his assessed 7.50 average now is he? He should be at number 3 or 4 (against the Josh Pickering, Nicolai Klindt, Charles Wright, Danny Kings of the league) with a solid team around him.
  6. No offence to Jenkins. He's a good talent, got a bright future ahead of him, but I'd bite your hand off if you offered me Riss over him. Riss and Heeps at 3 and 4 looks much stronger than Heeps and Jenkins. Needs to be done before 22nd of May.
  7. Really don't think Oxford look that good this year but I'm still shocked at how close Plymouth got to winning this meeting. Thompson twins starting off the season great.
  8. Since my beloved childhood Diamonds closed I have grown more attached to Plymouth (a team I liked before the Diamonds closed anyway) and more recently Glasgow (Love the city, follow their ice hockey team, always up in the west coast of Scotland) it would be hard for me to choose between the two... But Plymouth are definitely my 'south' team
  9. You mean like chucking a rider out of a team opportunity because they 'haven't done anything worth talking about' in less than a year of riding... It's a development league and some riders take longer than others to develop... He's only 18. If he was in his late 20s I'd kinda get the argument...
  10. I mean... I've only seen Mark ride the once in a second half meeting at Redcar last season... But are we really going to write an 18 year old off already?
  11. Can you rewatch BSN streams from your account at any point in the season? Or is it just live? Can I rewatch a meeting say in November this year that was streamed this April.
  12. Set ups are changed in wet conditions though, carburettors are adjusted, gearing is changed, engine power is limited etc... there's only so much you can do on a soggy mud track. F1 is different because it's on tarmac and they have millions if not billions invested into it. That's a bad comparison. If the conditions are dangerous, it must be off for rider safety. The workington promotion have deemed it unfit for racing. We have, after all, had the wettest winter in 250 years and not much sun... we're also being hit by one of them stupidly named storms right now too, so it's hardly surprising that the meeting is off. As has been the case for most meetings so far this year.
  13. But back in the day they would race in anything ey Let's all forget just how much more powerful the bikes are these days and daydream about the olden days instead...
  14. Hopefully scunthorpe can not waste everyone's time again this week.
  15. I didn't believe it at first considering how many young riders 'announced their retirement' over Facebook on 1st April... I assume in Archie's case it's true though as he hasn't said April fools yet...
  16. Nicholls is a temporary signing... plymouth need guests. Whether it's an ndl rider or a rider at 75% who knows
  17. Michael hartel (complete guess, I've got a 0.1% chance of looking smart)
  18. I'm sure Steve Worrall, as a speedway rider, would be highly offended to be tarred under the same brush as any of the alleged above. Considering last season when his testimonial meeting was cancelled he collected together all the food he had arranged and donated it to the local homeless shelter. There are many, many wonderful speedway riders out there and I'd love to invite anyone below with similar stories. Let's change the next few pages into something positive and not rats who mug grannies and get a few years with a free bed and breakfast paid by the tax payers, eh? I'd love to know who the nice lads of speedway are.
  19. You've just narrowed it down to not plenty of riders there none worthwhile anyway. Need a thrid heatleader
  20. Not even his 'mistake' he's just a little rat and he needs to stay the hell away from the sport... Would other riders really feel safe on the track with him...
  21. I am a massive fan of Plymouth... But if Garrity did go anywhere near this team (or any other) then I'd refuse to visit ever again, and I assume I wouldn't be the only one... I guess the posts above are false though (or so I hope)
  22. Nowhere near a third heat leader and I thought he'd retired...?
  23. Especially with Niels and Emil. Both already talk quietly.
  24. Knew he was in Poland but don't really follow Sweden or Denmark. Good for him, he's much better in higher leagues.
