Brilliant news can someone tell me what the track and stadium is like at Iwade? Heard it's pretty small and no stands... but it's better than no track at all!! Cant wait to go visit
-
Brilliant to see Kent back on track next year.
-
When is the Christmas do again? And can we expect the final rider to be announced then?
-
I thought if a rider rode in the Ekstraliga they could only ride in one other league not including their home nation. So Nicki could do Poland, Britain and Denmark, as he is Danish... I'm sure I read that somewhere...

Number 8 for each team and Junior League
Diamonds85 replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Wonder if Kyle Bickley is reconsidering signing for Berwick Bullets now? Or can he be a number 8 and still ride in the other 2 leagues... What does he do... Drop the NL in the slight off chance that he may or may not get a ride at some point during the season, or keep the NL and get track time... I hope the number 8s are eligible to ride in both other leagues... Other than that... It's actually a good idea that has been implemented... Something long overdue... Now all they need to do is change to race format to have protected races for reserves so we don't have the number 5 vs the RS at number 7... -
I dont mean ipswich necessarily, all 6 teams... it's nearly december and only 4 signings have been announced? Normally teams are half or more completed by now in both the PL and CL... just seems to have been kinda quiet so far this winter is all? We dont even know what the official final averages will be!!

Think she means master, douglas, becker, thorsell and worrall

Why are all the teams holding off so long? More than usual... Is there a big event planned where all teams are announced or something? The Championship are well ahead with announcements...

Leicester Lions 2022 Line up
Diamonds85 replied to FishersGate's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
From the outside I think Dan seems like the better of the two? However I have only seen them race once... Who would Lion's fans say is the best rider currently? I know it'll probably be a hard choice to make -
Leicester Lions 2022 Line up

Also known as a tandem -
Which other 8 pointer could we even attract though? Realistically... Plus, now we have 2 very strong reserves, whereas, no offence, it's a couple years too early for Archie... I know he's the local hero, but if we keep signing weak riders, we're never going to win anything... And the fans will never return, it's a business at the end of the day I'm sure if George is not pulling his weight by the mid point of the season, Rob isn't going to take any prisoners... Just got to hope if it does come to that, that BWD doesn't walk too...
-
Could say the same about Josh Embleton. But doesn't mean hes good enough for the last spot. No I am not comparing the 2 ability wise, just effort wise. I'd much rather be way below the limit and have someone like Broc Nicol or Paco Castagna instead of Josh Bates Add Kyle Newman or Adam Roynon to that list too
-
God please not Josh Bates... that will ruin such a good side
-
Either way... He's the junior reserve so he doesn't have much pressure from the get go... However, if he truly is a very underwhelming signing, then I'm sure Rob won't carry any extra weight he doesn't want to... I hope he turns out good, comparing him to other New Zealaders is a bit silly, just because they were second best at the time and he is second best now... Let's just hope he's up to it, having his mate BWD in the team may help? Maybe that was part of BWD's terms, I'll sign if you give my mate here a chance to prove himself
-
Seen a couple videos of George Congreve online... Looks pretty quick, although he was on the track (big, wide open one) by himself, and everyone looks quick on their own... Hope he gets the opportunity to look at the track at least before the first meeting... Interesting to see how BWD returns to British speedway too... Eastbourne is a very similar shaped track to Brough and he rode there successfully for long enough... Fingers crossed both can hit the ground running... If George turns out to be a really good find then him and Wright or Clegg at reserve could be unbeatable... It all comes down to who our final signing is... I really hope it's an interesting and strong name... Will it be announced at the Christmas do? I'm looking forward to hearing more!! This team could be a team of seven 7 pointers!!!

Steve Pate did just as good of a job as manager as anyone else? Also @Jaizer my comment about Glasgow wasnt serious
-
Yes... its only glasgow who are allowed to bring in Aussies and kiwis on 2.00 averages so he will definitely be a 4.00er
-
But the final signing is complete? And ready to announce soon? Is it a familiar face or a new one?
-
Nick Skorja has today signed for Rawicz alongside BWD... Wonder if they fancy catching the same flights to and from Poland?
-
Doesn't sound like he's very wanted by some of the Scunthorpe fanbase though? Returned to Denmark for personal reasons I'm lead to believe, or else he'd be the obvious choice (if not at Berwick)
-
Now that would be the signing I'd like to see 1. Bradley Wilson Dean 2. Max Clegg 3. Tero Aarnio 4. Paul Starke 5. Matthew Wethers 6. George Congreve 7. James Wright So much depth and an alright number 1 and 5 for a change
-
I doubt Richie would have chosen us over Leicester anyway... I am happy with the team we've got so far, a nice 3rd heat leader or number 4 to team up with Starkey will do me... I calculate we have 6.51 left, but see no obvious signings near that average... The only riders I can think of are mid to high 5s, and it would be a shame to waste nearly a whole point... Kyle Newman is the obvious name that springs to mind, but he ain't as strong of a 3rd heat leader as I'd like us to sign... I get the feeling that there's a lot of 'drama' going on behind closed doors up there... What a shame, I thought things were becoming more positive...

Oxford Cheetahs 2022
Diamonds85 replied to CowleyCheetahs's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'd like to see Dan Gilkes and Jake Mulford at reserve for Oxford. Also Danyon Hume at number 2, if he isn't riding for Poole. That would leave plenty of room for a strong top 4, spearheaded by Scotty Nicholls (So jealous) 1. Scott Nicholls (c) 2. Danyon Hume 3. 4. 5. 6. Dan Gilkes 7. Jake Mulford Would be a great start, if another 8.5-9.0er could be acquired for the number 5 spot (Troy?) And then a solid 3 and 4 (Tommy Jorgensen?), would be a decent team for Oxford's return... -
If not, has anyone got any rumours or hints at our final signing? Cant wait to find out who it is...
