I'm sorry but even if Adam was there, Leicester would have still been far too strong for Birmingham to stand a chance in the second leg, Adam missing made little difference. Being 20 or so points down after the first leg is basically a death sentence, has a deficit like that ever been overcome? Leicester are one of, if not THE strongest team in the league and I don't see Birmingham making the playoffs, so the gulf in quality effected the result, not the fact Adam was missing, who admittedly is probably Birmingham's best rider.

Mildenhall and Plymouth both did have completed teams up until very recently when they both had a rider pull out. Belle Vue had yet to complete their team all winter...

Thank you Very strong top 2 pairing. So that sounds like Jye will go to 3 or 4 when he moves up.

Redcar v Newcastle Tyne Tees Trophy 25/03/22
Diamonds85 replied to Yearbyred's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ah I didn't realise that, I never visited Redcar last year, but I am really hoping to get to Robbo's testimonial next week. I've always thought the back straight would be amazing viewing, didn't know it was finally open. -
Is anyone able to confirm the riding order? Or do we find out on opening night...
-
1. Niels Kristian Iversen 2. Thomas Jorgensen 3. Josh Pickering 4. Lewis Kerr 5. Richard Lawson 6. Richie Worrall 7. Jack Thomas 8. Jake Mulford Seemed to be the riding order based on the pictures I saw, can anyone confirm this? Not a terrible looking side once you have it out on paper, but still finish in the bottom 2 imo.

Question for the Redcar lot. Is the back straight viewing a new thing?? Or was it just for last night, also did it get very busy up there? -
I am very sorry to hear. I am sorry to say I am not sure who Jim was, but I have heard his name being banded around a lot, so must have loved Newcastle Diamonds. RIP Jim

Brad has certainly made himself rather unpopular on certain social medias, even with some of the Diamonds fans. Wonder what sort of a reception he'll get next Sunday, disaster waiting to happen? Especially if he doesn't perform -
I'd have personally gone 1. Sam Masters 2. Steve Worrall 3. Ryan Douglas 4. Luke Becker 5. Nick Morris 6. Drew Kemp 7. Leon Flint 8. Joe Thompson

1. Sam Masters 2. Luke Becker 3. Nick Morris 4. Ryan Douglas 5. Steve Worrall 6. Drew Kemp 7. Leon Flint 8. Joe Thompson Seems a strange riding order to me, but good luck for 2022

Expecting a pretty comfortable win for the Bears tbh, but I'm just excited that the season is upon us. It may take the likes of Lee and George a few weeks to settle in and show us what they're capable of. Fingers crossed it will be a closer result than I'm expecting... I'm gonna say 55-35 to the Bears. Good luck to all riders. -
Not disagreeing with you there, the championship clearly needs 'weakened' however, in the current state and the current team building rules, most of them riders would be way out of their depth, I saw that last year with Archie at Newcastle, he's probably done more lap of that track than anyone in the Championship and he rides it no problems, but he was just not ready at all. But if you weaken the league structure, fans will just complain and stop going. What really needs to happen is the top 3 or 4 teams from the Championship need to move up into a slightly watered down Premiership and the Championship needs to be 7 or 8 smaller clubs (Berwick, Newcastle, Scunthorpe etc...) who can bridge the gap between the NL and the PL. The whole sport needs a restructuring
-
Two of which dont ride anymore, most of which aren't ready for the championship.

Elliot Kelly steps down from Mildenhall, who will his replacement be at this late stage? Any good younguns from the area yet to be signed up? 4.46 to play with...
-
About bloody time
-
I'm sure in the unfortunate but likely chances of injuries occurring in the NL, he'll be snapped up. Real shame because he looked to have loads of potential, was he asking too much?
-
Only real name you could say is Jake Mulford, but then again, is he doing speedway at all next year? Being only King's Lynn's number 8 is a bit strange to me? Unless Armadale name him, he's not gonna be in the NL and Birmingham/Plymouth would be terrible if they signed him as their last rider...

Plymouth Gladiators 2022
Diamonds85 replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'll always consider Plymouth my second team, despite them being literally the opposite end of the country, their track and set up and the area in general are amazing. I would love to know who this name is, however I don't think we ever will if the appeal isn't accepted. I look forward to seeing who signs though, good look Plymouth for 2022, either way yous look pretty strong to me
