  1. I don't see Luke riding NL next year. 1 Jason Garrad 8.36 2 Senna Summers 3.44 3 Ashton Vale 6.17 4 Jacob Clouting 5.04 5 Jody Scott 8.10 6 3.89 Left 3.89 7 Declan Killeen 3.00
  2. Never heard of him, please tell me more.
  3. To be fair in the team you quoted Paco would be nowhere near heatleader... But it doesn't matter regardless because that team is way off.
  4. I see Erik as more likely to be at Oxford or Edinburgh tbh? Redcar have Charles Wright (8.37) and Danny King (7.88) If they added Erik (8.32) and Jason Edwards (6.19) to make the top 4 they'd only have 9.24 for the final 3 riders... I just can't see them going with a tail that long. You'd think most likely Oxford, since they just signed him in the Prem.
  5. Just starting this thread as there is a lot of young talent around the British Youth Championship. I'm just curious as to who is old and good enough to progress onto the NDL/whatever the format will be next season. It sounds like there's going to be a lot of places up for grabs...? Oliver Bovingdon Ollie Binns Caydin Martin Harry Fletcher Lee Harrison Who else is likely to be considered by teams, are any of these riders even old enough? I know some of them are racing 500s at Scunthorpe Amateur meetings, but I believe the age limit for that is lower than the NDL? It's so hard to find any real info on the BYC which is sad... There used to be a proper website with profiles and everything.
  6. If Oxford used Gilkes at reserve and as expected brought back Maciej, it would leave over 10 points left for the number 1... I know Oxford have had some questionable team selections in the last couple of seasons but starting that far below the limit in the Premiership world be crazy... unless there's any 10 point riders knocking about 😄 1. 2. Erik Riss 5.55 3. Maciej Janowski 7.02 5. Charles Wright 6.32 5. Rohan Tungate 7.71 6. 7. Luke Killeen RS 13.40 for final two riders. I'd personally go for two riders in the top 5 and have Rohan start at 1 and Erik at reserve because I don't see many out and out number 1s left unless they pull a rabbit out of a hat and bring one of the big GP stars over.
  7. I'm guessing there must have only been 4 rounds. If you look at the rider totals for example Josh Auty got 17 points in 4 rounds but his total is only 51 (17x3). Usually the 'worst' scoring round is deducted from your final total. For example: Scott Meakins - 5+6+10+3 = 24, but his total is 21. 4th round score is dropped from his total. It's just a guess though as perhaps the lowest score is dropped as the season unfolds and added back if a worse score is achieved. I hope this makes sense 🤣
  8. You're all 🍆🍆🍆 just stop twisting at eachother
  9. Bit of a difference between Matias Nielsen and Mads Hansen, with all due respect...
  10. Surely Jeppesen is on more than a 4.50? He's raced in the ekstraliga.
  11. Jonas Jeppesen was very young when he last rode in this country. He's now grown into being a very good rider and has plenty of experience in the Polish ekstraliga with Czestochowa. He'd be a solid rider over here imo. Edit: just doing some more research on him. He last rode in the Ekstraliga in 2022, achieving a 1.359 average (5.44 in our terms) 2023: rode for Landshut in the second tier of Polish speedway with an average of 1.262 (5.05) 2024: rode for Pila in the third tier of Polish speedway with an average of 1.809 (7.24) I'd say the Prem is somewhere similar to the second tier of Polish speedway in terms of strength, so Jonas should average 5-5.5ish. He's still only 26!!
  12. I stand corrected, perhaps I am being harsh on Ashton, especially considering I've only seen him a few times in person. I hope he kicks on next year and starts pushing for that 3rd heatleader spot in the Glasgow team, would be really nice to see him progress, I have nothing against him whatsoever. I think I forget just how young and raw he is, when I'm comparing him to the likes of Drew Kemp, Anders Rowe etc... They've all got a fair few years on him.
  13. Jonatan is a decent rider in Sweden, very tough and doesn't give up easy. He's not as talented as his younger brother Gustav you could argue, however he's still not a bad signing imo and has plenty of experience for such a young age. Could be a similar level as Fraser Bowes for Workington if European form is anything to go by. Excited to see some fresh faces in the country for next season. Coming from Sweden, he's probably used to riding the rough tracks you'd find in Britain, it's not billiard tables like in Poland. Will be interesting to see how he gets on. I'm keeping everything crossed that Lasse signs...
  14. You think Klindt or Ellis would come in on a 6? Or am I misunderstanding your post...
  15. I assume Erik Riss as a temporary replacement? As he's rumoured to have signed a contract in this league but has also stated in the past he can't do a Friday track(Redcar, the other team he's rumoured for)
  16. I'd love to see Glasgow put a NL team out. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Workington, Redcar, Belle Vue Leicester, Oxford, Kent, Sheffthorpe, Mildenhall? (Not sure on the Mildenhall situation) Never going to happen, I just don't understand where all the teams are going to appear from to create 2 divisions. Unless Oxford put 3 or 4 NL teams out 😁
  17. Fair enough, as I say I'm happy to be proved wrong and I hope nothing but the best for Glasgow, it's a city close to my heart, although I don't follow their speedway team, I do like to see them succeed. I've seen Ashton have absolutely blinding races where he looks like he's been racing for decades and I've seen him shut off and bottle it against riders much slower than him... I guess it's to be expected at such a young age and he might grow past that stage and properly kick on, time will tell. Hopefully he's a superstar soon enough.
  18. Honestly, I'm probably gonna eat my words in years to come, but I don't get all the hype behind Ashton. Yeah he's extremely talented on a bike for his age, but his attitude and the way he rides... I just can't see him developing into anything too crazy. Yeah he might eventually be a heatleader at Championship level, but I just honestly can't see past that. He reminds me a lot of Lewis Bridger. Bags of talent at a young age, but I just don't see him hitting full potential. I really like Glasgow and I hope it pays off for them, and it probably will, but he's not the next Bewley, Lambert, Woffinden in my eyes. I know it sounds stupid saying this already at his stage in his career, and I do hope I'm wrong... I just don't feel it with him, like I did when I first saw Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley ride, and I just can't explain why...
  19. Must be a fair few teams joining then if there's going to be enough for 2 divisions? There has to be at least 10 (from existing and new) for something like that to work surely
  20. I've also read that more teams will be joining? Brilliant that all teams are returning though
  21. So when's the NDL 'agm' or whatever they have going to be? When are we going to find out which teams are competing?
  22. My bad, I was just going by the 6.50 he was on in 2019 when he last rode for Edinburgh. 5.00 is crazy!!
  23. 1. 2. Lasse Fredriksen 4.67 3. Victor Palovaara 6.50 4. Paco Castagna 7.11 5. Justin Sedgmen 7.92 6. 7. Max James 2.00 11.80 for the final 2. Could go for a big hitter at number 1 and Coles Or Kye Thomson and a 5.00er and put Lasse at reserve and Justin at 1.
  24. Maybe he can't wait because it's one of the few opportunities leicester might have of winning a meeting next season, if Matej is going to get 1 from 4 again...
