What's the ruling behind Roynons average? I assumed it was double his finishing Championship he attained at Oxford last season? Which only makes it 6.9ish
-
How dare they give some young, local lads a chance, you'd almost think that's what this league is about, terrible!!
-
Yep
-
Hoping for Rhys Naylor. Him and Ben at 3 and 4 would be awesome 😄
-
Keeping busy as he only has Plymouth in the Championship? Trying set ups for the Championship? Could be many reasons.
-
Chad Wirtzfeld is from Poole. Can't think of 3 15 year olds that would make sense.
-
Well what's the NL team? It's appears to only be you who knows it? Were you the only one there?
-
The only person I've actually seen say it was announced is Lewy... which is all I need to say 😄 I'm sure it will be announced soon
-
Because it hasn't
-
And riders in the NDL can't have averages below 3.00
-
1. Joe Thompson 10.29 2. Kai Ward 3.58 3. Chad Wirtzfeld 5.20 4. Rhys Naylor 4.13 5. Ben Trigger 8.71 6. 3.09 7. Charlie Southwick 3.00
-
Chad Wirtzfeld? Arran Butcher? Charlie Southwick?

How to ruin the GP series more than it already is -
I've heard that the team was announced last Friday, was it actually?

They easily have the best top 3, I think Jason Edwards is really going to have a big year next year too... Their top 4 is incredible. Jake Mulford should be solid enough at number 2, especially at home. I like their reserves, but they are just as likely to go missing away from home, particularly again teams with stronger reserves. I rate Tom Spencer quite a bit, he's never going to be world champion but he's a very solid rider and I think he'll surprise a few, always gives 110%. Anyway back to Poole. I'd be delighted to see Anders pushing mid 7s and I would love to be proven wrong and see him hit 8 too. I just wish he'd stop wearing his hats like a condom...
-
They are the reason that I said 'top 2' in my post 5 minutes ago. I think Redcar look very strong.
-
I can see by the end of the season 1. Richard Lawson 9.00-9.50 2. Tobias Thomsen 4.75-5.25 3. Zach Cook 6.75-7.25 4. Anders Rowe 6.75-7.25 5. Lewis Kerr 7.25-7.75 6. Paul Starke 3.75-4.25 7. William Cairns 4.50-5.00 Fair assessment? Of course you Poole fans will know these riders better than me.
-
Poole given special dispensation to use Charles Wright as he doubles up with Redcar on a 2.96 average 😆 Chad Wirtzfeld should be nowhere near the Championship... But he is local.
-
I don't for one second believe that Poole will finish anywhere other than in the top 2 and probably make it to the final in everything. But to say Ben Cook for Lewis Kerr is like for like and Anders Rowe will be an 8 point rider is insane. Ben Cook was pretty much in the top 5 riders last season, I think he finished 6th highest if memory serves me well, and I don't think Lewis Kerr, although a good rider, is considered one of the best in the league. And I do think Anders will have a good season next year, but he'll do very good to make it to an 8 point average.

Who's your supplier?
-
Rather than Poole, if the powers that be insisted on no byes in the competition therefore 8 teams were needed, they should have contacted a Danish or Polish or German team etc to see if they wanted to come and do a one off meeting over here. A Landshut select side with the likes of Huckenbeck, Smolinski, Grobauer. Or perhaps an Aussie select side with a bunch of Australian riders who don't ride in the PL. A bit of outside the box thinking. It would have made it more interesting for everyone else who isn't a poole fan.

But are young and with more opportunities will only get better. I personally hoped there would be 2 stages of NDL this year. A stronger NDL with the likes of Leciester, Belle Vue and Oxford mainly consisting of CL second strings and Reserves (give riders like Hume, Hagon and Starke more rides) And a British Development League with the likes of Kent, Edinburgh and Middlesbrough with local kids (Mark Parker, Lee Harrison, Kyran Lyden etc as reserves and second strings) just a glorified MDL with 7 rider teams basically. Set up so riders like Tom Spencer and Max James are the strongest riders in the league kinda thing.
-
Complete or partake in? Because 2025 will be Huckenbecks second full year in the GPs as far as I can see.
-
Would Kai Huckenbeck's assessed average not be 8.00? With him being a Grand Prix rider. I'd love to see Tarasenko back over here though, I think there was only going to be loads more left from him, the more he got used to riding over here.

A geographical league makes sense from a team point of view, but for a rider it would make more sense if the teams were spread all over the country in both leagues. For example there's a kid who lives in Edinburgh. His teams could be Edinburgh in the NDL and Workington in the NT rather than a north/south split where his teams would be Edinburgh and Birmingham/Kent/Plymouth etc. Less travelling for home meetings for individual riders. So it's swings and roundabouts. Although I do understand Workington's issues with travel.
