  1. Tbh focusing on one category for the full year sounds like it makes the most sense. Start the 2024 from the beginning having a 3.00 average, not be frozen out on a high average because of half a year the season before. Who else is there to look out for in the junior categories? Who do you recommend.
  2. It's so hard to find info on these riders, there used to be a young lions website, but such a thing doesn't exist anymore as far as I can tell. Ashton may be a mid season acquisition for someone then perhaps...
  3. Just starting a thread so that people can highlight and discuss the riders they'd like to see in the NL next season. Most notably the riders who are 'coming of age' Who are they? As far as I can tell Max James and Luke Harrison will be old enough, I'm guessing Max James to Leicester and Luke Harrison to Berwick or Oxford perhaps? Great to see so many young talents coming through. Are the likes of Ashton Vale and the other Junior competition stars old enough for next season too? Nearly forgot to mention Ashton Boughen (Sp?) What a rider this lad looks like he's going to be
  4. Not their fans though unfortunately I actually have a soft spot for poole, the 3 times I've been the racing and atmosphere was brilliant and the town is nice too.
  5. Maybe the scb just don't like us North Eastern folk Nah I've been able to get on sometimes and not others, definitely something wrong with the site, works sometimes but not always. Not the end of the world anyway, it's only the main and basically only news source for the sport in this country
  6. More like good second string/average number 3... but yeah I agree with you, nowhere near
  7. Thanks for the replies everyone, seems I'm not the only one having issues, I am using chrome and have never had issues with the website up until the last week or so. Obviously the site servers are struggling to cope for whatever reason or they have it down for planned maintenance at certain times and just don't warn anyone, like other websites usually do. Still not working at all for me, on chrome, edge or firefox.
  8. Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this in. But is anyone else having issues accessing the Speedway GB website. My browser gets stuck on the 'checking if the site connection is secure' screen and never loads? Cheers
  9. So someone who has a warsaw contract with a team can be signed by another team outside the window? Yes forgot about that too
  10. Can some just remind me what a warsaw contract is again, is it a rider who can ride for a 1.liga and a 2.liga team?? Also what are the team compositions for next year in regards 2 poles in the 1-5, an u-24 and 2 polish juniors at reserve? Is it still the same for all 3 leagues. Thanks
  11. Is Kenneth Bjerre available or has that been mentioned already Vaclav Milik would be good too, a lot better than he was the last time he rode over here, probably a solid 8.5 pointer imo With pickering and klindt as the other heat leaders Mpt, jakobsen and jorgensen 1. Vaclav Milik/Kenneth Bjerre 2. Michael Palm Toft 3. Josh Pickering 4. Thomas jorgensen/nki 5. Nicolai Klindt 6. Fredrik Jakobsen 7. ??? Not that good looking tbh. If you sigh Krzysztof Kasprzak you must be desperate lol
  12. If the choice was shanes or Morris, who would people go for. It's a no brainer for me, but I'd love to know what the brummies fans think.
  13. Ive always though any team who could get Basso and pickering in the same team have got to be the most entertaining team in the league, regardless of who else is signed. Howarth would be my shout if I was a Glasgow fan, him and Basso would be a brilliant 1 and 5.
  14. Cheers, I hadn't seen that then again I've not really been paying much attention. Who do you reckon the last 2 may be
  15. Brilliant start to team building. I hope Nathan and Jonas (or potentially brother Jesper) are the reserves... I imagine Jorgensens average will be whatever his PL average converted by 1.5, which I think would put him somewhere in the 9s would it not?? Definitely no Bomber if that's the case...
  16. I think the original poster meant to have an 'if' at the beginning of their post
  17. 1 Chris Harris 8.76 2 Jye Etheridge 5.71 3 Jake Allen 6.30 4 Jonas Knudsen 5.00 5 Leon Flint © 7.00 6 Jesper Knudsen 5.00 7 Nathan Stoneman 2.00 8 Ace Pijper 2.00
  18. Didn't realise Jame had retired and I hope Josh stays... Back to the drawing board lol
  19. 1 Chris Harris 8.76 2 Jonas Knudsen 5.00 3 Jye Etheridge 5.71 4 Ricky Wells 5.20 5 Leon Flint © 7.00 6 Lee Complin 3.00 7 Jesper Knudsen 5.00
  20. 1 Sam Masters 10.58 2 Lasse Frederiksen 4.00 3 Kye Thomson 6.60 4 Max Clegg 4.27 5 Craig Cook 8.24 6 Jacob Hook 4.00 7 2 pointer 2.00 It feels a shame to leave out Paco but he's hard to fit in with the 3 heat leaders. Unless you give up on either Jacob or Lasse and go... 1 Sam Masters 10.58 2 Jacob Hook 4.00 3 Kye Thomson 6.60 4 Paco Castagna 4.93 5 Craig Cook 8.24 6 James Sarjeant 3.59 7 2 pointer 2.00 I've also heard that Pickering won't be back which will be a shame, he's one of my favourites and I have a soft spot for Edinburgh I suppose the 2 pointer could be someone like Tom Woolley, Danny Phillips, Connor Coles, Ryan Kinsley?? Any other suggestions?
  21. Think the phrase everyone is looking for is 'trade value' having a prospects contract will very more valuable than an older rider who will be retired soon anyway. The prospect is only going to increase in value and the older only gonna go the other way. That's what happens in sports like ice hockey anyway...
  22. That team would be the strongest team to ride the PL for many years imo, if yous could pull that off yous would be unstoppable and I'd definitely be in for a trip to Suffolk few times next season... But it won't happen surely...?
  23. Tbh I don't understand all the hate for Lambert, yeah he's never going to be a world beater and he's not the greatest rider ever to grace the sport, but I'd happily have him in my team as a number 2, always a trier and a solid, experienced rider, particularly at scunthorpe and other similarly sized tracks. I quite liked him at Newcastle even though it didn't really work out for him. He's nowhere near one of my top choices don't get me wrong, but he's not so bad that you'd have to be daft to sign him surely?? And although I don't really know him personally he seems like a really chilled nice guy
