  1. Depends... If Emil's signing means that Ipswich are very successful and make it into the playoff finals, then new people from the area may attend, there's always those fans in sports that only turn up if a local sports club of any kind are successful... And once they're crap again they stop coming Also are the rumours of the returning 16 lapper event true? I hope so, sounds like a brilliant meeting but never got to see it for myself
  2. I wonder if the likes of Josh MacDonald could ride in the NDL on a 8.00 average? Or is there a ruling to how experienced a commonwealth rider can be? I'm sure Josh is still in this country looking for a team spot...?
  3. I'm sure I read it on here somewhere And of course if it was on here it must be 100% correct And George Congreve who has a 4.50 average? (i.e. no CL experience) And as far as I'm aware James Pearson will be in the NDL? But that might be a load of old sh!te also... Only confirmed commonwealth rider is George as far as I can tell? I would imagine that Jacob Hook's average will be no higher than 8.00 anyway (x2 his CL average) Has Jacob been confirmed anywhere?
  4. 1. Erik Riss 2. James Shanes 3. Danny King 4. Danyon Hume 5. Charles Wright 6. Jake Mulford 7. Jason Edwards Personally, however I think Mulford and Edwards will be swapped.
  5. It's my understanding that any commonwealth rider with CL experience would come in on an 8.00 and any without CL experience would come in on a 4.50 average
  6. I do have a soft spot for Plymouth so their last signing means a lot to me. I'd personally like to see someone with a bit of track experience in the Championship already, could be important with someone as fresh as Ben Trigger at number 7. What about Josh MacDonald? He's posted on Twitter that he's looking for 2023, could be a risk though with a year out with injury, but could be brilliant equally.
  7. Admittedly, I agree with you however, I've seen him ride a few times, in Denmark (small tracks), Sweden (dodgy tracks) and Poland (snooker tables) and he looks one hell of a talent every time I've seen him, I'm quite excited to have him in British speedway tbh. Obviously he might not master the likes of Monmore or Beaumont right away, but he will have the likes of Jason Doyle and Danny King in the pits to guide him on set ups etc, and talent + set ups must equal something... All he needs is 4 points a meeting, so he only really has to beat other reserves and possibly other number 2s anyway to start with. Just my opinion of course, he may ultimately struggle, who knows.
  8. Also, this will probably be an unpopular opinion but... IF Ipswich do sign Emil (let's face it, many of us would travel to watch him, even across the whole country) would it not make sense to line him up at number 3 and Danny King at 5. Danny ain't a TERRIBLE number 5 compared to others, so should be capable of winning races in that position, particularly at home, however, lining Emil up at 3 means that Jason and Emil will be split up throughout the meeting (disregarding Heat 15 obviously). This means that there will be 8 races with at least one of Jason or Emil in, so there's 8 chances of heat victories rather than just 7 if both were in heat 13, I'd rather see Danny King coming in second behind Jason in Heat 13 rather than Emil, spreading the heat victories as much as possible seems sensible? 1. Jason Doyle 2. Keynan Rew 3. Emil Sayfutdinov 4. Erik Riss 5. Danny King 6. Danyon Hume/Cameron Heeps 7. Jack Thomas
  9. Keynan Rew seems to be getting massively underrated by the people on this forum, I really think he could be a trump card for Ipswich, whether that's at number 2 or number 6, especially when riding with Doyle he definitely isn't a reserve standard rider (with only really Jakobsen being the stand out above the rest)
  10. He rarely rides Sweden As of recent years anyway
  11. I thought Hodder was already signed up? I was kinda hoping to see James Pearson, Jack Kingston and Jack Shimelt as the final 3... Leaving the team as: 1. Jack Smith 2. Matt Marson 3. Jack Kingston 4. Sam Hagon 5. James Pearson 6. Freddie Hodder 7. Jack Shimelt 41.99
  12. Seems to be taking a while to complete the team, what's everyone's thoughts? Is James Pearson guaranteed? Or are they going with another young Aussie and that's what the time delay is?
  13. Surely not.......... Mr Grant In fact it's worse than that because we were nearly 4 below the limit at one point I believe
  14. Why do Buster and Holder hate eachother? Is it from his stint at King's Lynn and the general lack of effort?
  15. I once saw Scott Nicholls in a burger King at Washington services. How could a ride be so unprofessional?? He should've been eating a kale salad in his van on the way home, despicable.
  16. I bet Belle Vue, King's Lynn, Sheffield, Leicester and Wolves have all sold more season tickets though People aren't gonna buy tickets if they don't know what they're getting themselves into
  17. He's an angry man or someone who doesn't put in the effort?
  18. 18.61 for the final 2 signings... could be a brilliant team, surely Kyle and Jacob are nailed on? 1. Kyle Bickley 2. Mickie Simpson 3. Adam Roynon 4. Alex Spooner 5. Jacob Hook 6. Doyle Wood 7. Kyran Lyden That team looks incredible considering what was expected. Hopefully Doyle Wood is a bit of a revelation.
  19. I'm sure there's supposed to have been an announcement last week too, what happened to that?
  20. Dear god, please let it be Sam Ermolenko... Get him OFF the mics
  21. What level rider are we looking at for this NORA league? Ben Morley/Alfie Bowtell type as number 1s or Connor King/Chad Wirtzfeld types? I'm assuming there's gonna be a few 'new names' who don't ride in the NDL who take part in the NORA league, Andrew Appleton etc...? Be interesting to see when the teams are announced
  22. Cheers Dan. I had a look on a couple websites but I couldn't find mention of this meeting at all... Pretty easy field for Rory, he should be winning it comfortably... Only other notable names to me is Maurice Brown and Brayden McGuinness who both rode in Poland last year... Obviously heard of a few of the others but don't know much about them
