  1. Not sure how long Luke is going to be out for, but Jason Garrad seems to have something about him still, don't know if he wants to race again full time, and he seemed quite race rusty, but surely he's worth a gamble on a 3.00 average... Even if Luke comes back, Garrad would be a nice option as the other reserve.
  2. Sounds like even though Garrad is a bit race rusty, sound like he's still got something about him, could be a good option rather than persevering with Sam or if Connor's injury is bad?
  3. I've not really been keeping in the loop this year, what has happened to Erik Riss? Thank you
  4. Thank you all for your answers, I was 90% sure, but I don't know the rules very well (Does anyone?) I know a rider is limited to 7 rides, but wasn't sure if a rider could take two R/R rides in one meeting, as unlikely as that scenario is, Cheers.
  5. Just thinking of a scenario, which I'm sure has happened before, but I can't think of any myself. Say a team is operating rider replacement for a rider and another one of their lineup goes down injured in the meeting and Injury rider replacement comes into affect, can one of the healthy riders take a R/R for both riders. For example. Nicki Pedersen (R/R) Hans Andersen Richie Worrall Benjamin Basso Niels Kristian Iversen (IR/R) Ben Cook Jordan Jenkins Could Richie Worrall theoretically take a R/R for Nicki AND Niels, or can he only have one a meeting regardless of if it's for 2 riders or not. If Richie ended up in heat 15 too, he would have 7 rides. Cheers, I'm sure someone knows the rulebook inside out, but I don't
  6. I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but a team can redeclare their full 1-7 up to the points limit at any point in the season, as far as I know, as long as it's under the points limit for the full team. If they were over the limit and they dropped a rider with a 5.20 average, they can only replace that rider with another rider up to 5.20 (even if said rider started the season on 7.20)
  7. If the OP wanted Max Clegg in the team, then there would have to be points sacrificed elsewhere to fit him in, Joe (no I don't think he should be dropped at all) and Connor (don't have much of an opinion on him tbh) would need to be dropped to fit in Max's 11.83 average (I think it's a terrible idea as much as I really like Max)
  8. You'd have to drop Ablitt, Alcock and King and bring in Clegg and x2 3.00ers... That would weaken them significantly... 1. Max Clegg 2. Rhys Naylor 3. Tom Woolley 4. Connor King 5. Ben Morley 6. Sam Woods/James Laker 7. Chris Watts I would be gutted if I was a Kent fan with that team, although Max is one of my favourite riders. If it's top end Kent want to improve on, they should look for someone like Stefan Nielsen in place of Nathan Ablitt (I get the impression he's not leaving the best taste in Kent supporters mouths?)
  9. I've not really rated Kent's team either, although I don't think it's too far away from being a lot better than it currently is, especially with it being so far under the limit. I'd do a straight swap, Connor King for Jack Kingston and I would line the team up like this: 1. Ben Morley 2. Rhys Naylor 3. Tom Woolley 4. Jack Kingston 5. Nathan Ablitt 6. Joe Alcock 7. Sam Woolley May be a little bit harsh releasing Connor, but it's the numbers game. Alternatively you could swap Sam Woolley with Richard Andrews and keep Connor: 1. Ben Morley 2. Rhys Naylor 3. Tom Woolley 4. Richard Andrews 5. Nathan Ablitt 6. Joe Alcock 7. Connor King Both teams fit under the limit, but I'm not sure if Jack or Richard still ride/would ride.
  10. Fair enough, give him a chance at 2 to start with and if he improves throughout the season, I'm sure things will get moved around.
  11. Quite surprised having Ace at number 2, I would have thought he'd be the best option for the number 5 honestly, but I'm not gonna question it, I'm sure over in Workington know what they're doing.
  12. Did we get to find out the riding order yet? I think it will be quite interesting to know as there's not really a stand out number 5 and all 4 of the top 5 (excluding Bailey) would make brilliant second strings
  13. That sounds good then, obviously Max James is a good rider and I assume he's who beat Dayle? Edinburgh have a decent reserve on their hands in Dayle then...
  14. A lot of them riders around... Having raced speedway many times in the past, I understand it in one way but don't in another considering it's their livelihood. Having said that I am not a very competitive person, but I imagine professional speedway riders have to be.
  15. How did Dayle Wood look? Going to be any good as a reserve in the NL?
  16. He only struggles to hold onto the bike when he's knocking other riders off around his outside
  17. Quote GB boss Olly Allen said: “We knew it was going to be tough, and to beat Germany on their own track is no easy feat. “We need to remember we’ve got a bronze medal today – okay, we were quite a few points behind first and second; however, to get here we had to beat Czech Republic in the Czech Republic, and we had to score more points than Sweden and they put a super-strong team out. Quote First of all, beating Germany, who only had 2 scoring riders, isn't that impressive Second of all, scoring only 2 more points than Sweden, who weren't even in the same semi final (considering how much easier Britain's semi final was with Ukraine - no offence) isn't that impressive either Accepting being 27 points behind Poland in the final is not good either Who chooses these teams...? And what is Olly Allen smoking...? Well done Polska. Also nice to see Rasmus Jensen scoring well in the final too.
  18. Imagine if tracks got 15,000 spectators... There would never be a question over the future of any club then... Obviously I know this ain't realistic, but it would be nice... Speedway DESPERATELY needs advertisement... Most people don't even realize it exists...
