I started the day with £35 in my account, if I can finish it with £35 still, I'll be happy, or anything over very happy Just a bit of fun ain't it

Hello. I live near to Newcastle, but I like to try once a year to get down to Plymouth and Poole (I have family near Plymouth, and I love going to Poole) I would say my favourite team now that Newcastle have folded are the Gladiators, I just love their little set up they have down there

The last couple of weeks... I really wanted to see Emil's first meeting back in this country so I booked Ipswich vs Peterborough last week (hotel booked, traveled down just for it to be called off as I was reaching Ipswich and about 10 minutes too late to cancel my premier inn... It was only being advertised that morning, surely the track must have been waterlogged all day as it wasn't really raining that much?) I was gutted by this so I stupidly decided to book this week up as a little speedway tour (I've been missing it greatly since mid last season when the Diamonds folded ) So I planned this week... Monday - Peterborough (on but a very delayed start with Nicki's crash, stadium issues, track issues, but was an ok meeting in the end) Tuesday - Day in Cornwall (p!ssed it down the whole time, expected) Wednesday - Poole (Off)/Thought about popping up to Oxford (Off) Thursday - Leicester (Off)/King's Lynn perhaps? (Off) Friday - Back home, across to Redcar (Off) Can't tell that the season's just started can you? Who's betting that Berwick will be off tomorrow also I will point out though because I know people will have a go at me, that I know all of these meetings were cancelled for rider safety, and I completely understand that, it's the most important part of speedway... Just typical though ain't it, driest winter on record followed by the wettest March

Personally think that Zaine Kennedy and Joe Thompson was one of the strongest reserve pairings in the league, and if you can replace Zaine with someone like Josh MacDonald or Dillon Ruml, you're still very strong...

You clearly rate Harry McGurk more than me And I'd put Luke at 7, being the strongest reserve, but Elliot is still well capable of being at 6, it'll only be a matter of time before one of the McGurks (imo) move to reserve

What's everyone's thoughts on riding order then? It will be interesting because Connor is a big number 1 obviously, but there isn't really an obvious number 5. Do you give it to Ace, or someone slightly more experienced like Luke? Personally I'd go 1. Connor Bailey 2. Sam McGurk 3. Harry McGurk 4. Luke Crang 5. Ace Pijper 6. Elliot Kelly 7. Luke Harrison There is absolutely zero weakness in that team, on paper they should walk this league... Especially when Luke Harrison makes it into the main body of the team, who's going to be at reserve?? One of the McGurks, that's crazy. Having Luke Crang and Sam McGurk as the second strings too is incredible. Can't wait to come over some point this season.

Think Redcar's team this year is one of the better in the league, 3 brilliant heat leaders, 2 solid second strings and no matter who at reserve good, young lads at reserve... Think they're in with a shout of silverware this year and I want to thank the club for allowing the Diamonds to race once again, even if it was only for the one meeting. It's my closest track so I'm sure I'll be back across the a66 a few more times this year. Can't wait to see Jake Mulford grow over the season, I can see him having a big year both for Belle Vue and Redcar, he's certainly got something about him, especially at 18.

Hello. This is my first time coming to Sheffield in the car, can someone please let me know if the big car park to the south west of the stadium is for the speedway and if it costs anything? And if it does can I pay by card or cash only? Thanks

I imagine that there's people at the track now... they must have some kind of idea whether it's going to be on or not, why no update? This is why there's little away followings in speedway, always uncertainty sometimes right up until start time, not appealing travelling the whole country for nothing...

Personally think that Dan Gilkes (injury free) may give Leon a run for his money for strongest, but I do agree, Leon really is a good rider to have at number 7...

It's not so much the weather on the day you've got to look at, it's how much water has the track soaked in over the past few weeks that's got to be worrying... This isn't something that happens overnight so it amazes me that the trackstaff at Redcar didn't foresee this on Sunday... Or did they? It is frustrating as a fan in situations like this, it's almost like our time and money is an afterthought but oh well...

Decent looking side and hopefully will give a very strong Redcar team a challenge... Looking forward to seeing the result, good luck to everyone and I really hope Max gets signed up somewhere soon...

Paul Bowen is an alright signing, plenty character in the pits, decent rider on a 3 something average Luke Muff, I seriously don't understand all the hype... Unreliable, bad attitude, not even got very much potential... As you can tell he has swindled me (and many others) in the past, very disappointing side put out by the Colts this year, and it started off so well with Jack Smith, Sam Hagon and Matt Marson... Freddie Hodder looks a good prospect too

Strange question to ask here i know, but I don't want to create a whole new thread just to ask a question, but do League cup (or whatever you call it now) and KOC fixtures count towards the rider average? Also can Tact sub rides be used in either cup competition?

When practice at Scunthorpe, riders are required to have a SCB licence and are required to sign a day long insurance form, I imagine Jack Thomas is the same in that regard.
