  1. Sonny Springer. Another brilliant signing!!
  2. My biggest disappointment if I was an Edinburgh fan would be losing Lasse. Victor is a good signing and I think Jonatan will surprise a few if he can get used to the track. Just lacking that real number 1 because Justin just isn't it, decent number 5 or good number 3 but not a 1.
  3. When's Edinburgh's next signings due then?
  4. Starke isn't the rider he was a few years back... but he should do a solid job at reserve at Poole all season. He's not going to catch Tobias in terms of average. I'm guessing Starke was option B and they were trying to get a certain Aussie in on a 4.00 but he would have been a 5.00, hence the 'numbers game' excuse with Vinnie who as it turns out would have fit.
  5. Any ideas on who might be in the team for next season? I'm guessing whoever is at the bottom end for the Monarchs might be in the NDL team, but as we don't know who that is yet I'll have a go at: Connor Coles 8.00 Kyran Lyden 3.53 Sam McGurk 5.56 Max Perry 6.89 Dayle Wood 7.76 Mark parker 3.00 Lee Harrison/Owen Booth 3.00 Would be night to see Max Perry getting a team place in the NDL somewhere, even if he is riding for them lot in the west, Connor Coles and Dayle Wood are presumably givens? Is Sam McGurk still in favour? Thoughts?
  6. When's the side going to be announced then? I heard it was supposed to be announced the same night as the Aces but never heard anything. I'm guessing William Cairns will be there, even with his massive average, but beyond that it's hard to tell. I would like to see Matt Marson and Chad Wirtzfeld get team places somewhere and Declan Killeen is also without a team place now assuming he's riding in Britain. A top 4 of William Cairns, Freddy Hodder, Matt Marson and Chad Wirtzfeld would only leave 9.27 for the final 3 riders, so three 3.00 riders? Not sure who's knocking about. Thoughts?
  7. That's fair enough. It's not the non inclusion in the scunthorpe team that's baffled me it's the non inclusion in any of the 11 teams at this level. Fingers crossed someone comes calling.
  8. His dad confirmed on here as few weeks back, granted things may have changed, that he didn't have an NDL place for next season. Which is what baffles me. Presumably if scunthorpe planned on using him he'd have been selected already.
  9. Jason Garrad and Declan Killeen on the way to EWR? Nathan Ablitt and Jason Garrad would be a powerful top 2 at this level and I can see Declan being a Scunthorpe type signing for some reason if he rides in the UK. I'm also a bit confused why yous haven't signed Luke Harrison? Will give him much needed extra track time and he will walk the NDL, so would be a good confidence booster for him, always liked his style and would love to see him pushing for a RS spot in the Premiership in 2026.
  10. Bit surprised that there's no Jason Garrad or Declan Killeen in the team, but I'm guessing they'll get a team place elsewhere. It will be nice to see Darryl Ritchings back on the bike again, was a solid rider back in the day and can probably pass on a lot of knowledge to some of the younger lads. Who's gonna be team captain? I'd set the team up like this, just until Darryl gets going again, could be a big year for the likes of Jody Scott and Ashton Vale if they really up their game. 1. Jody Scott 2. Jacob Clouting 3. Arran Butcher 4. Darryl Ritchings 5. Ashton Vale 6. Max Broadhurst 7. Senna Summers
  11. So... If Kildemand is number 1 for Berwick and Danyon is number 2... Could be an entertaining start to a lot of meetings 🫣
  12. Not sure how that's arrogant? I've not seen Dayle Wood once last season, but I've seen his results and they're better than the year before. I just can't get my head around why people are writing him off just because he's 30? To me that seems more arrogant compared to what I've posted. People can improve no matter what their age is and they shouldn't be immediately discounted just because of it. Best of luck to him, didn't mean to come across as arrogant if that's how you've taken it.
  13. Some people fail to understand that riders can actually go away and improve. They see Dayle ride once in his first season over here, see him struggling and immediately write him off forever as if he's never going to come to anything. I hope he flies next season just to prove all of these people wrong.
  14. 1. Ben Trigger 8.71 2. 4.20 3. Sonny Springer 5.60 4. Vinnie Foord 6.29 5. Max James 7.20 6. Jamie Etherington 3.00 7. Ryan Ingram 3.00 A very youthful team (despite someone on another thread calling them a 'win at all costs team') who would walk the league.
  15. Is he old enough? Who else is a local rider to Norfolk? I know Connor Mountain is, but too good for NDL level. They need to confirm their participation asap or no one will want to sign for them!!
  16. It's weird how some rider ride so well on the continent but can never get to grips of the British tracks. Matic Ivacic flies in Europe.
  17. Both Pijpers have already signed for Middlesbrough Edit: Sorry just realised they're in 2 separate leagues 😄 This is gonna take some remembering...
  18. Fraser Bowes has signed for Workington.
  19. Forgive me for putting him in the same thread as some of these legendary names, and I know there's a lot of people gonna laugh at this, but Ludvig Lindgren around the 3rd and 4th bends of Newcastle will always stick with me, he practically reversed it into the bends at times to get around the inside line. We also had a rider during our 2011/2012 seasons called Claes Nedermark, he had a brilliant style on the bike and I was gutted when he left. Reminded me of a mini version of bomber. Speaking of which... Why has no one mentioned Bomber yet!! I'm WAAAY too young to remember anyone else on this thread other than Simon Lambert. 🫣 Forgive me but I haven't seen many of the old style riders, I can only comment on who I've seen in person!!
  20. Better than NKI Blodorn, continental Milik and Harris but only a number 2? I'd say he's good for 3 or 4 in the team imo. Very solid rider and doesn't give up when he's at the back. I like him. Just depends on how he adjusts to British tracks, but they're not too dissimilar to Danish and Swedish tracks, where he's spent a lot of time racing. I can see him being a surprise for some fans.
  21. He'll need time to get going, like most riders will, but I'd say chances are come mid season he'll be a dependable rider
  22. I was lost 🤣 ah well. I'm not sure what average Jonas will be because I can't be bothered to keep up with the rules anymore. I just go to the meetings and hope the racing is good.
