Yes, there was no doubt in my mind that it was the riders/track work/club that was causing all the additional time, there was time when riders seemed to be sitting ready to go out on the track for ages before the 2 minutes came on, it was fairly obvious that most of the delay was down to the tv.
-
The meeting seemed to take forever, loads of gaps between racing, I know there was advert breaks etc but even disregarding them, there seemed to be a lot of time just watching the previous race, or was it just me? I don't normally like to complain about that stuff either. Other than that I thought the tv coverage was alright, no problems with the camera angles imo.
-
I've heard for week now that teams are happy with their signings, happy with who's coming in etc etc... BUT WHERE THE HELL IS THE NEWS!! It seems to be never coming, are yous all going to announce it in September? Ready for the late October/early November playoffs

The only buzzing going on in Peterborough is the noise in Johnson's and Tomalin's head... I always had a soft spot for Peterborough for some reason but the way they've been 'interacting' with their loyal supporters as of late has put me right off, it's a shame because I was so excited to visit Peterborough for the first time this season (I went the night Nicki fell) and it wasn't a very enjoyable meeting and now this, nah... Think I'll follow someone else instead. Couldn't run a bath.
-
I think they will too really...

Isle of Wight 32 – Ben Morley 12, Arran Butcher 9, Rhys Naylor 6, George Congreave 5. Cradley 28 – Alfie Bowtell 10, Tom Spencer 8, Chris Widman 7, Chris Watts 3. Sittingbourne 22 – Tom Woolley 9, Brayden McGuinness 7, Sam Woolley 3, Jack Kingston 3. Plymouth 14 – Luke Harris 7, Ben Trigger 4, Alex Spooner 3, Patryk Daniszewski 0. From the Isle of Wight Warriors website. http://www.warriors-speedway.com/ Surprised to see Brayden McGuinness name there, seems like a random meeting for him to come over for but fair play

Luke back in for Kelsey then Kelsey in for Harry. The team would be a fair way below the limit, but I'm sure you can strengthen up later in the season if averages fit etc.
-
Good to hear. Hopefully Kelsey and Luke will be back asap, I really rate this Comets team and I can't wait to see them in person
-
Hopefully not too badly?
-
Was he badly injured? Or just battered and bruised? Fingers crossed for him. Once Luke Harrison is back to full fitness I'd bring him back in place of Harry personally. Also why was Luke Crang missing? Is he injured? 1. Connor Bailey 2. Elliot Kelly 3. Sam McGurk 4. Ace Pijper 5. Luke Crang 6. Kelsey Dugard 7. Luke Harrison Honestly that team would be far below the limit but a lot stronger imo...

Redcar struggled last night against a VERY strong Poole side, I still believe Redcar are one of the better teams in the league, I just think Poole and Glasgow are head and shoulders above everyone else. If changes are to be made, it needs to strengthen the second strings and reserve positions definitely and perhaps it's too much too soon for Jake (I really thought he would kick on this year) I'm not sure how long Riss is going to be out for (but if Ipswich have replaced him with Barker, he can't be back anytime soon?) and I would suggest that team changes are vital before next month's averages kick in and presumably Charles and Danny increased their averages significantly. 1. Danny King 8.05 2. Danyon Hume 5.68 3. Troy Batchelor 7.29 4. Dan Thompson 5.09/Dillon Ruml 5.47 (if available for Britain)/Drew Kemp 5.20 5. Charles Wright 7.40 6. Jason Edwards 3.80 7. Sam Hagon 2.00 (Has averaged 9.43 points in the NL and started the season very strong) This team would allow for the three big heatleaders still, but has a slightly more balanced look to it. And I'm not sure who is more popular out of Jason and Connor, but Connor could quite easily go at 6 instead of Jason if Thompson or Kemp are at number 4. Food for thought, Redcar need a strong 1-7 back on track.
-
Niels Kristian Iversen, but don't worry he's number 7 for July, so not for too long
-
Problem is with Ben, is yeah he's good at Peterborough and Belle Vue but at Wolverhampton he failed to score a single point, at Ipswich he scored 6 from 6... It's hardly the form of a solid number 2 rider, they can't afford any more passengers... Don't get me wrong, I love watching Ben, I've been to Poole a few times recently and Redcar last year he was flying, but Peterborough need better than what they currently have, badly and I mean the whole team, not just at reserve.
-
The way things are going he's destined for the top 5... Then what, when he's not doing a top 5 job in the top 5? Peterborough need a number 6 who can make the step up, because the rest of the team is awful
-
People seem to have been slightly triggered that I said you could replace Ben Cook with a better rider... I didn't at any point say that he has been bad, all I'm saying is if there is changes made and the team is still under the limit, why not upgrade him to a 5/6 point rider from the continent... Peterborough need a major overhaul, and if a few riders are to be sacrificed then that's the nature of sports... I'm sure Ben would be signed up elsewhere. If Peterborough aren't going to build with top end power they need a reserve that is going to bang in double figures at every track
-
Nicki Pedersen 0.00 I'm surprised Basso is so low? Has he really been that bad?
-
If there's any hope for Peterborough competing at all, this Tomalin guy needs to put his money where his mouth is Hans, Cook, Nicki Out MJJ, Zagar and a 4/5 point Dane like Mads Hansen in... Perhaps even throw money at someone like Vaculik if available. Something BIG needs to happen and fast... 1. 8.00er (Vaculik? Madsen? Bjerre?) 2. Basso 3. Zagar/NKI 4. Richie 5. NKI/MJJ 6. Mads Hansen?? 7. Jenkins I know it's not going to happen, it's too much money and not realistic at all, but it's the only chance Peterborough have, they're too far in the hole now, fans need to be tempted back, not just mildly convinced back with Tungate... (Who is another inconsistent rider)
-
This situation looking from the outside reminds me a lot of the Diamonds situation... See how that ended New owner comes in, promises the world, delivers nothing Very badly put together teams with no heatleaders Promises of changes every week but it never comes Crowd levels dropping like a stone but no action being taken to prevent it Teams so far below the limit you could almost fit another 3 riders in place Zero communication of any sort from the club other than the 'turn up or lose it' type of attitude Guest after guest after guest It'll not be long until the plug is pulled imo. I really do feel for the Peterborough fans here... The only positive yous have is Basso. Andersen and NKI were shocking last night, Ben Cook was alright but you need better than that... Yous needs to get that lad who was out practicing last night after the meeting (Cooper Rushden?) I genuinely think he'd have beaten Hans and Niels...

Once the initial rush rush has happened, I will definitely be over for a couple meetings... I couldn't make it this weekend anyway, but the large crowd kinda puts me off from certain events unfortunately, I hope Workington can maintain a good fanbase though and I can't wait to see the new set up, having visited the little track hundreds of times... I couldn't be happier for Workington and all involved
-
He's a decent rider to be fair... But seems to have started slowly this season for whatever reason...
