  1. And your point is? Just because 11 out of 14 posts have been in the PL or CL sections (Are you stalking me?) doesn't mean I've followed the leagues very closely I have a look from time to time, but I don't know every single result and I don't know every single guest for each team, I also don't feel the need to comment on everything like some on here do... The NL I have followed much more closely as well as the Polish Ekstraliga. But still, SWC aside I've been to 6 meetings this year, 4 in the NL, one at Peterborough to see Nicki 10 yards Pedersen take the softest crash ever and pull out and one at Ipswich to see Emil. The reasons for this are financial on my part, I can't afford to go to as many as I used to and also lack of interest, I'd rather go to one meeting to see a specific rider these days... The Diamonds closing has lost my interest in the sport quite a bit
  2. Ah, that line up is just my opinion, I'm sure it will be nothing like that Tbh, I haven't followed the leagues that closely this year so I had no idea... I mainly just check the NL from time to time and that's it, I'm not interested in PL and CL as much
  3. So what will the line up be... I'd go 1. Rory Schlein 2. Jye Etheridge 3. Hans Andersen 4. Jonas Knudsen 5. Leon Flint 6. Steve Boxall 7. Connor Coles Decent looking team that now... Not sure what average Boxall comes in on, but I'm guessing it's lower than Jonas?
  4. Everytime this meeting has been rearranged it has been on a weekend when I'm working... I only work 1 weekend in every 4... I'm gutted What are the chances... I am delighted for Robbo though and I hope the day goes well for him and this rain stops before then!!
  5. Not a fan of tai, in fact he's one of my least favourite riders. But I'm glad to see him back in Britain, hopefully he stays this time...
  6. I would really like to come over to Workington at some point this season but every home meeting they seem to have clashes with someone I have on I've been unlucky... But I can hardly complain this time as I will be in Poland with my Dad and a few mates watching the world cup What kind of riders are we looking at for this meeting then? It says some of the best riders in the league, I assume they mean the NL and more than likely 7 of them will be Comets...?
  7. Considering Chris Louis openly admitted on tv that he hadn't heard of most of these under 21 riders, I don't see that happening..... Plus, after already paying big for Emil and presumably Doyle, is there really a lot of money left at Ipswich to get riders like Lahti, Lebedevs, Huckenbeck etc in (bearing in mind most of these types of riders already have their maximum number of leagues)
  8. Ipswich should swap Erik (who is clearly struggling) and Danyon with Barker and Mountain imo... I know Mountain didn't do a lot tonight, but he's an upgrade on Danyon imo and Barker would be an upgrade on a struggling Riss too. Would put Rew back at reserve also 1. Emil Sayfutdinov 2. Connor Mountain 3. Danny King 4. Ben Barker 5. Jason Doyle 6. Keynan Rew 7. Dan Thompson Personally I would swap Doyle and King around too... Having Emil and Jason meet in heat 13 feels like a wasted chance for both of them to get a heat win... If they didn't meet at any point they have 8 opportunities to win races, but because they meet in 13 they only have 7. I also assume Barker and Mountain would be cheaper than Erik and Danyon too? Also I think Jason Edwards would be better at number 7, but I haven't really looked into how Jason and Dan performed earlier this season in the PL
  9. Ashton Boughen then... Him and Ace at reserve would be terrible so I assume it's one or the other next season
  10. Us Diamonds fans know all about that... Except we DID have a buyer, but he was turned down in favour of our demise instead... Good times
  11. Why Garrad then? Don't get me wrong he seems like a great option on a 3.00 average and I am glad he's got a team place, just curious as to what Shroeck's take on him is? Think Garrad at reserve could do a decent enough job
  12. Ah, I was almost right... I had guest for number 1, RR for 2-5 and guests for reserves Thanks
  13. Can someone explain to me the guest facility? I thought you could only have a guest for the number 1 rider? But Scunthorpe seemed to use a guest for MPT in the previous home meeting... I tried to find this rule on the SCB website but I can't seem to... Cheers
  14. Nowak is a brilliant rider in Poland, on the big wide open tracks... perhaps he'll get used to British tracks eventually, but in the short term it's not good for glasgow I agree though Lee isn't good enough alongside Ace... but who else is there out there?
  15. A lot of people are quick to judge someone who may have had a drug issues in the past. If he is proven to be clean now, why should be not be allowed to ride? Perhaps some people have a point about his reduced average though, but even still only the two years out of the sport served after his ban had ended were included in the reduction, so it's not too bad. I would say if he's turned his life around and he's off the drugs now, then that's brilliant and very good of him and he should be given a second chance if that's what he wants and if he's truly good enough... Someone has a rough youth, a bad upbringing, made mistakes in their past... They shouldn't be denied a future if they have rehabilitated themselves. I never saw Steve at Newcastle, he was there just before I started going, but really good luck to him and I hope he achieves whatever he wants out of his future endeavors... Even if it's just a bit of fun for him.
  16. I know that but he rides as a Kiwi doesn't he? Fair enough if he rides as a Brit... So surely if he's riding as a Kiwi he must need a CL spot too?
  17. How does the must have a CL team place rule work then... Because George Congreve rides in the NL as a Kiwi but doesn't have a CL spot?
  18. Jack Smith would be racing for the Aces, the Bears and the Colts (theoretically - if he signed for Redcar) Edit: Just seen that Jack Smith came in to guest for Jake Mulford last night, I thought it was a permanent move, but surely it should be?
  19. I thought Jack Smith was already signed up in the championship for some reason, but turns out he's not, I agree he would be another very good option. He's allowed to do all three leagues this year isn't he? Going to become suddenly very busy if so. I know the CL would probably be a big step up for Ashton or Max, but giving them the experience for half the season with the view of signing them on next year without them starting from square one sounds sensible to me, yes they might not score very many, but I bet they would learn a lot. Especially riding at Redcar, THE best track in the country and should get track of the year over Scunthorpe imo...
  20. Terrible news for Redcar and Jake. I have only been to 3 meetings this season, but each time I went you could see a lot of improvement in him. Fingers crossed he heals up 100% ready for next year and this doesn't hold up his progress... As for replacements it could be tricky finding someone on a 3.00... Danny Phillips? He seems to be doing alright for the bullets, has a bit of experience of the CL already and is local. Other options would be to give a young lad a chance such as Max Perry or Ashton Boughen, both are going well in the National League and I've seen Ashton ride at numerous Redcar second halves so he must be in and around the club/area quite a bit? Massive talent. I know Nathan Stoneman isn't coming back from his injury and I don't see Bickley returning either, so both of them are out the window.
  21. Hmmm it sounds like there's a story there that you're hinting at. If I remember correctly Jason started at Buxton? I am unsure where Chris Morton and David Gordon are affiliated with, I also can't think of anyone from the top of my head who rode for Buxton who had troubles with the law (the only other rider who springs to mind is Jerran Hart). Sounds like a loose cannon was left unsupervised, it's good to give these young lads a chance to turn their lives around when they're young, but if they're not properly looked after and rehabilitated... Look what happens It's an interesting topic yet one that's also not very nice to talk about at times...
  22. Sounds good, would be a welcome addition, any team helps but Rye House are one of the bigger names in the sport, it's a shame they're not in it already
  23. He really didn't do the club any favours... In fact it was the total opposite, I don't care what anyone else says... Yeah he might have tried but he refused any help, which he clearly needed and ultimately that spelled the end for the club. He'll not be remembered well by most Problem is there is no one with enough money who's willing to get permission and build a track/stadium elsewhere, so Newcastle are finished. Unless an old starry eyed fan wins a ridiculous amount on the euromillions, but what's the chances of that It would be interesting to know more details about this genuine offer to take over... If there are any?
  24. So there's basically just a pile of dirt left... Sad
