  1. Which means that Bastian will move on next year and you will be without both... I'd rather keep Lasse as a career number 2 or number 4 than Bastian who yes might be very good this year, but would soon drop Edinburgh if he started scoring big point in the top league/Europe... Either way... I hope both are in Edinburgh's team next season. What average do Norwegians come in on... There's a few knocking about who would do a job as second strings in the CL... Some with some good potential.
  2. Perhaps the new opportunity that is too good to pass up on is a new rider to Britain? A new Dane perhaps? Emil Breum, William Drejer or Bastian Pedersen would be unreal in the Championship... Especially if at number 2... 1. Richard Lawson 2. 5.00 Dane 3. Keynan Rew 4. Zach Cook 5. Ben Cook 6. Sam Hagon 7. Max Perry I don't see this team actually happening but I equally wouldn't be surprised if it did... Poole have put some cracking teams out down the years.
  3. Could swap Bastian and Jacob around... Just put Bastian at reserve to get that stronger rider there for the start of the season... I'm sure Bastian and Jacob would quickly swap roles and Hook would be at 6...
  4. Can't have Hume and Coles... Coles would only fit with either James Pearson or Hook I don't know... I really like Lasse for some reason, think he should definitely be in the team... Although 1. Steve Worrall 2. Jacob Hook 3. Justin Sedgmen 4. Paco Castagna 5. Erik Riss 6. Bastian Borke 7. 2.00er Ain't bad at all...
  5. 1. Max Fricke 8.98 2. Steve Worrall 6.44 3. Ben Cook 6.00 4. Lewis Kerr 5.32 5. Ryan Douglas 7.14 6. Justin Sedgmen 5.07 7. Dan Thompson RS Fits in this years rules
  6. I'd keep both... Lasse and 2 and Borke at 6. Both would do decent jobs as second strings and take up barely any points in the process... Edinburgh's team for next season seems a difficult one, as heatleader options seem limited. Unless Craig Cook comes back, but that would be a massive risk. If they can bring in say Riss and Sedgmen at the 3 and 5 and get someone like Steve Worrall or Richie Worrall (if he's allowed to ride) as number 1 then the top 5 don't look too bad. 1. Steve Worrall 7.84 2. Lasse Fredriksen 4.57 3. Justin Sedgmen 7.69 4. 4.89? Alfie Bowtell, Danyon Hume, James Pearson, Jacob Hook 5. Erik Riss 7.35 6. Bastian Borke 4.00 7. 2.00-2.89 depending on which number 4 you pick (Connor Coles?) It's a bit harsh leaving out Paco, but where does he fit?
  7. Maybe you're right... I have to admit it's been a few months since I've seen him (or anyone for that matter) ride... So he might have kicked on really well in the second half of last season, but the twice I saw him in the first half of last season, it looked as if he was just slightly off Championship level and could have done with one more season in the NDL... But I would be very happily be proven wrong. I just would have thought a rider like that could have benefited with a more experienced/better partner at reserve... Again, no offence to Sam Hagon, both good prospects.
  8. 1. Sam Masters 9.47 2. Henry Atkins 4.32 3. 4. Jordan Jenkins 5.83 5. Scott Nicholls 8.34 6. Luke Killeen 2.00 7. Ashton Boughen 2.00 Is a good looking team but that last spot with 6.04 remaining is a bit tricky if you look at the averages... Options are limited: Jye Etheridge, Kyle Newman, Anders Rowe, Cameron Heeps... Not very good 3rd heatleaders...
  9. That changes that then lol... Pearson it is
  10. Surely if the reserves ARE Sam Hagon and Max Perry then (I'm really not convinced by that as a pairing tbh, Oxford's 2.00ers this season were clearly going to kick on, where these two I can't see kicking on as much) this would be better... Keeping the Cook bothers at 3/4, bringing Brennan back to the south coast which has been rumoured and still having a big hitting number 1... 1. Richard Lawson 8.49 2. James Pearson/Tate Zischke 4.08/4.00 3. Ben Cook 7.39 4. Zach Cook 6.22 5. Tom Brennan 7.15 6. Sam Hagon 2.57 7. Max Perry 2.00 Total: 37.90/37.82
  11. 1. Richard Lawson 2. James Pearson 3. Zach Cook 4. Kyle Newman/Anders Rowe (Both fit) 5. Ben Cook 6. Tate Zischke/Paul Starke (Both fit, not sure how realistic Tate is though, Paul isn't as bad as his 4.00 average suggests as an alternative... Particularly at reserve) 7. Max Perry Assuming the limit is 38
  12. Way too top heavy that Got a tail longer than Errol Flynn
  13. 1. Danny King 2. Jason Edwards 3. Connor Mountain/Drew Kemp 4. Leon Flint 5. Charles Wright 6. Jake Mulford 7. Luke Harrison Erik Riss (to Edinburgh?), Connor Bailey (to Workington?), Danyon Hume (???) Out Leon Flint, Connor Mountain and Luke Harrison In Keeps the main core of last years pretty successful team together but... 1. Replacing the unreliable (last year anyway, understandably) Riss with Flint, who needs a change from Berwick imo 2. Replacing Connor Bailey with Connor Mountain/Drew Kemp... Pretty like for like tbh, but I can see Bailey leaving for Workington 3. Bringing in Luke Harrison (which I think is pretty nailed on) for Danyon Hume, who I just can't see back at Redcar next year for some reason... Hopefully Charles is fit in time for the new season... Another option for that number 3 position would be Kyle Newman or Jonas Knudsen... All similar riders, depends on who's available/lowest price etc... Can't see Tom Brennan at Redcar
  14. If there is to be two leagues... The championship ought to have teams at this kind of strength really... (totally hypothetical team, not my edinburgh suggestion at all) 1. Josh Pickering 2. Bastian Borke 3. Paco Castagna 4. Lasse Fredriksen 5. Jake Allen 6. Connor Coles 7. Luke Harrison Not only would this type of team be more financially viable for the clubs in the CL... But it would reduce the gap between the NL and CL and increase the gap between the PL and CL... Which would combat two of British speedway's biggest problems... The lack of progression for youngsters (because the step up from the NL to the CL is ridiculous) and doubling up between the PL and CL. I'd like to see the Rising star rule implemented in the CL and also a maximum of 2 double up between the PL and CL riders per team... (Pickering and Allen in this example)
  15. Not much to worry about then? Glad you have your life in that much order, well done mate
  16. I would suggest considering who keeps downplaying every post with Luke Harrison's name in... It would be him elsewhere?
  17. I have read that his is now home and safe? Not sure how true that source is, but hope it's correct...
  18. Honestly... I don't think the racing was that bad at any point during the week... Yeah it got better as each meeting passed, but there was still some good racing in the first semi... Don't forget safety glasses and hearing protection...
  19. Aye... The semis didn't have the best racing (Although it's better than most the cr@p we watch here, it was absolutely nowhere near 'some of the worst speedway you're likely to see anywhere in the world' like you say) but the whole atmosphere, event just was second to none... Poland is such a magical country, not just speedway wise... Seeing the sights of Wroclaw was something to behold and the evenings on the centre square was beautiful. Weather was perfect also and the trips to Auschwitz and the salt mines near Krakow were once in a life time... Cardiff... I've been there, done that and it's lost its novelty with me and many others it seems... Nothing special anymore. Although I'd still rather it was held there over Manchester, that would be a logistical nightmare... Bad public transport to and around the stadium, no parking, no hotels nearby (other than the tiny Diamond lodge, which is ideal for Belle Vue meetings but not big events...) and that's not even mentioning the inappropriate venue for such an event... (VENUE not track) No thank you.
  20. Nail hit firmly on the head... This country is f''ed. I decided this year to do the full week in Poland for the SWC over a weekend in Cardiff, because it was a similar price (despite the length difference) Poland is way more interesting and the racing/atmosphere is was better over there anyway... But mainly the price is what swayed it for me.
  21. There's going to be so few teams next year than Wolves and Birmingham alternating weeks is probably possible...
  22. @lorenzo558 Sorry. I have another question, this time about Allsvenskan. What are the meeting team building rules for that league? Are they the same as Bauhaus? Also, what are 'Gästförare'. I understand they're 'guest riders' but how do they work? Are they allowed to race in every meeting?/Only as injury cover?/can more than one guest rider ride in one meeting? Cheers
