Let’s hope this reduced admission provides increased crowds and the club make more money with more supporters paying less to watch than less supporters paying more to watch Also hopefully the racing is good which would give any new supporters an incentive to come back I’ve always thought £17 is too expensive and puts off people coming hopefully a bumper crowd will show the promotion that this is a fact

Very enjoyable meeting some decent racing Not enough to take to Brough I’d say Newcastle should progress fairly comfortably

Berwick haven’t lost at Arlington in 28 years I know they haven’t been there in 28 years but it makes it look good

Could it be the admission price is too much

I quite enjoyed it certainly one of the better meetings at Shielfield this year Poor crowd but with inclement weather around and a small traveling support it was expected imo

I wonder what numbers they expected and what numbers they need to break even/make a profit

Absolutely spot on the racing at Berwick is poor and you will struggle to get people to come through the gate and pay to watch four riders following each other The racing was better when Berwick finished bottom two years ago ! I don’t buy this ‘we can’t do anything to improve the racing because of the football pitch’ attitude either as the world under 21 final proved a well prepared track provides excellent racing Now that every week would attract the crowds
