Using r/r for your no1 at home 2. Using a rider with an average 2.5 points lower for your no2. 3. Super slick track (2nd time this has happened vs Panthers this year) But you can't blame Chris Louis after his riders refused to ride on the track last week ... so he have them a track they would ride on ... and look what happens! 4. Inept team management by giving Heeps a TS ride that would mean 3 on the trot... taking Garcia out of his 2nd ride and then only giving Garcia 5 rides...especially as had only dropped only 1 point up until his 5th one! Oh well always next year.....

As much as Cook was the main man in getting the meeting off there's one more that played his part in this... the home captain. If the Witches had ALL decided to race the meeting would have been on. The Witches entered the changing rooms for a meeting with most willing to ride .. all bar one and he was the voice on the night that said no.....

After last night... more reason the sport in this country should be semi pro. Riders like Cook and Schlein influencing others shouldn't be allowed just because they don't want to. If they don't like it... there's no place for them in British speedway... not that there will be much left if they continue to act like they did last night.

Takes 2 teams to make a good match. You sometimes see an away rider riding poorly and think how do they have a job? See them on their own patch and you cant believe it's the same rider. Simon Lambert springs to mind. Same could be said of Connor Mountain but in reverse. Struggles at Foxhall but looked great away from home. A win will always rose tint the "great racing " on show
