  1. Both the deals for Ipswich and Peterborough are "Commercial deals" so think we need to know what this actually means.... Has Chapman bought everything or just a chunk to that both clubs would enable the PL to continue with 7 clubs?
  2. So what would be the minimum assessed average in the PL? why cant Drew start on that? Think its more that he is able to partake but not on the average that Ipswich want him to be on.... And would Kemp wanted to ride anyway?
  3. Just do that.... charge £50 a meeting... season done
  4. • Minimum rider points average of 3 ‘achieved’ and not assessed So after what Hawkins has said looks like no one can ride unless they have achieved a 3 point ave. So no new riders to the league then unless they are assessed at 4.50 or above. So would not only rule out Drew but anyone new to the PL. Garcia too for example. What about Connor Mountain, has a 3.50 CL. but would be ruled out of the PL? Does that mean the likes of Kasper Andersen or Jonas Jeppersen that were assessed for 2018 will be reassessed? Surely as long as the likes of Kemp, Mountain, Hume, Bowtell are given 3 point aves whats the issue? Edit: Looks like Neil Watson and Ritchie Hawkins have differing views of the same rule..... which is exactly what is wrong with the rules!
  5. And not his money to lose or put in when things go wrong.... he will just be taking a wage....so maybe the best for him?
  6. i said at the time that reading the SS last week would be wasting my time.... and so it has proved.
  7. It's the BSPA... so can mean anything... or rule change no 1.....
  8. Premiership League – Commencing April 2019• Minimum rider points average of 3 ‘achieved’ and not assessedso if a rider cannot have an assessed average.... that means no newcomers can be signed as the likes of say Lidsey, Drabik or Becker would come in on an assessed ave, the same goes for Drew Kemp.
  9. Which they are quite welcome to. May even be possible to supply them with a Massif horn....
  10. So what? if Rathbone gets his money then why should he care who or where it comes from? Its like if I'm selling my house, do i care who will be living next to my old neighbours?
  11. So there you go Chris Louis.... all you need to do is sign him for the Witches
  12. That seems to be the thing these days... as long as there is some racing fans will be happy regardless of the entertainment. As for the weather, no one has any control of it but...... somebody somewhere has control of when to run these meetings and what do you think the conditions will be in the last week of October?
  13. Go back to the 1998 season..... Ipswich winning the treble but against some superb sides that strengthened up as the season progressed. Their matches against Coventry were superb. Also remember Swindon and Wolves having great teams too. Unfortunately the Witches team had to be split up as what happens every year. After hearing about the great racing Sky came on board and British speedway has gone downhill since. What should have happened was for the points limit to be set at the winning teams limit and any team that wished to keep their 1-6 to do so the following year. Grow on what had happened and let the sport flourish... oh well
  14. There are enough Lemmings that keep clubs afloat that little or no promotional ideas are needed to attract new fans. It's once these Lemmings decide enough is enough and fall by the wayside that the "promoters" start to worry and want out. This is not just a Peterborough issue but nationwide. Most "promoters" won't agree to deals as they look at the money they will lose from the Lemmings rather than the bigger picture. A Lemming would easily pay the £16 per meeting for 2 meetings in a week so the club would be £6 worse off if they offered the second meeting for £10. However how many newbies would attend for £10... the same price as a night at the cinema? This happened at Ipswich when they rode Glasgow on the Thursday and then Berwick on the Saturday. The Saturday was one of the lowest attendances in recent years.
  15. We all knew that there was Self interest in the "sport" but this has confirmed it... "promoters" only caring for themselves.
  16. From the GP Challenge Kolodziej replaces Pawlicki Iversen replaces Cook Lindback replaces Holder That's leaves 4 wild cards to replace Dudek Pedersen Vaculik Zager Think they could all stay, maybe Zager could be out, GP in Krsko would mean he gets that meeting Wildcard.
  17. If tonight's meeting had to be abandoned when there was the floodlight failure... wouldnt the result have stood?
  18. A team bends rules to give them an advantage.... so what's the issue? Been happening for years and will continue to do so if the "rulebook" allows it. Whilst there are Lemmings that continue to pay to watch this "sport" it will not change anything. The "Promoters" don't care about each other... as long as they are not the ones taking the hit. More of a jokesport everyday....
  19. You think? But you dont know about Kyle? Yes we know Dan did suffer those injuries but an accident I believe that was Dan's fault and Kyle was the innocent party... so are you saying that because Kyle's injuries were not as serious that he should be forgotten about. As far as I'm aware Kyle's injuries are/were bad enough to end his season....
  20. I thought it was top 3 in aves. Or any of top 5 scorers from programmed rides.... Which would mean Worrall would be allowed.. 15.14.3 Nominations must be a ‘qualified’ Rider, determined as either: a) A Rider in the top 3 of that Meeting’s Team by current MA (NB. A Team missing one of the top 3 and using the RR facility) may use the 4 th highest Rider by MA. or b) A Top 5 points scorer (counting the 4 x programmed rides only, including bonus points). Excluding any rider who has already taken 7 rides or if one of those top 5 point scorers has already taken 7 rides then the 6 th highest points scorer becomes a ‘qualified’ rider. (NB: No facility is available allowing another rider to be elevated to the qualified list if any of those top 5 points scorers are unavailable due to be withdrawn or has no equipment)
