Lawson hasn't been great recently at Foxhall but he's been there all season in the league and for him to miss the playoffs is a bit stupid (but hey those the speedway rules) Replacement has to come from a team not in the play offs, so Belle Vue, Kings Lynn or Peterborough and under his 6.90 ave. Bjerre, Fricke, Lambert and Cook too high. Nicholls, Wright, Proctor, Kerr, Riss, Palm Toft all riding elsewhere. So that leaves.... Bewley, S Worrall, Tungate, Andersen. Unless Ipswich use a CL only rider like Barker or Auty.

Why not award whatever the score is as victory points? Eg Ipswich 46 Swindon 44. Ipswich get 46 points and a bonus of 10 for winning. Swindon would get 44. If it's a draw both clubs get 5 points. So 50 points each. I'd also like to see a change in the heat points scoring to what is used in cycle speedway. 4 3 2 1 Heats would then be 7-2 6-3 5-5. However if a rider fails to finish e.g. from an exclusion or retiring he scores 0.

Lets hope that the track once and for all cannot be blamed for a Witches defeat. Slick and a gaters paradise and the fat lady will be singing by 8.15pm A track deep on the outside that favours the brave and the Witches will have a chance.....
