  1. Poole for Lanham might work average wise at the moment but the way Lanham is "reducing" his average, Poole might not fit in!
  2. Looking at the Final rounds, Tarnow on 15th September will be interesting for the PL boys if their teams qualify for the Play offs. Somerset have their home playoff match on the 14th, Newcastle have theirs on the 16th. If either team draws Workington their match is on the 15th.
  3. Taken from lovespeedway24.co.uk Poole heartache as Witches re-declare their team without him ‘I WANT to be back at Ipswich’. So says disappointed Ipswich Witches teenage star Taylor Poole after his hopes of returning to the Suffolk side this season were dealt a major blow. The ‘Sackers’ Witches have re-declared their team for tomorrow’s Premier League encounter with Rye House Rockets at Foxhall Stadium, with the returning Morten Risager back in the 1-7 – and Poole frozen out. Both riders crashed out of the opening night meeting of the season in March – ironically against Rye House – Risager with a back injury and Poole with a broken arm. But it’s Risager who has won the battle for fitness, returning to the starting line-up. “I’m disappointed, but I’m not surprised,” Poole said. “I was sort of expecting it, but it’s not nice. I love Ipswich and I want to be back at Ipswich whether this season or next. “But I’m still a few weeks away from being fully fit and Morten is ready now. That’s just the way it is.” Director of speedway at Foxhall Chris Louis admitted it was a tough decision to re-declare the side without the popular Poole. “I was gutted for both boys at the start of the season because I know how much hard work they had put into pre-season. I think most people thought Taylor would be back sooner than Morten, but that’s not been the case and Taylor is still six weeks or so away. “All Taylor can do now is to get fit and in six weeks see where we stand. If someone is not performing then Taylor may fit back into the side. But in some ways I don’t want that because it will mean there has been an injury to someone or someone hasn’t been performing.” Risager rides at No.4 tomorrow night, with Rohan Tungate moving into the team at No.2. Frenchman Mat Tresarrieu moves to reserve.
  4. A point from either James Holder or Gino "Ginelli" would have won the meeting last night.
  5. Maybe its taken him this long to try and thread a needle with his good arm, so given up
  6. Think its more of a case that the suit was cut off after his accident......
  7. I watched the meeting last night and was a strange situation, one which we all hope will not happen again. There had to be an announcement as news would have filtered through from the terraces anyway. There seemed loads of "officals" in the pits and looked like no one would make a decision either way. Looked as though some of the riders didn't want to ride but others just wanted to get on with it and blank it out via racing. There was no right or wrong way react, just a decesion needed to be made for the sake of the riders.
  8. What i was getting at is why would a promotion want to buy an asset? Saves them on loan fees but is it cost effecctive? As seen with Adrian Miedziński riders will ride for whom they want regardless of who owns them.
  9. Is there any reason to have assets anyway and do they have any "real" worth? Maybe the promotion have sold to free up some cash for a fresh rider to come in?Taking a look at the Witches assets, who else could be worth anything in the current climate? Looks good on paper though...... Karol Baran Kevin Doolan Tomasz Gollob Jarek Hampel Joe Jacobs Tobi Kroner Leigh Lanham Robert Miskowiak Jacek Rempala Marcin Rempala Tony Rickardsson Morten Risager Chris Slabon David Stachyra Zibi Suchecki Rohan Tungate Cameron Heeps
  10. upto date averages for the Witches..... Lanham 7.76* Doolan 7.11 Poole 6.90 Tresarrieu 6.51 Tungate 6.75* North 6.17 Heeps 5.23* *Lanham's includes Rye House and ipswich LC matches, Heeps and Tungate 3 matches only 3 matches in April before new green sheets issued, when will Tungate and Heeps be given "proper" ave?
  11. Ah i downloaded the team declarations sheet which has old figures on! But has Risager instead of Lanham!?
  12. I see Berwick have had new averages issued, hmmmm. they rode in the League Cup on the 23rd March vs Scunthorpe but Scunthorpe's averages have NOT changed nor have Edinburgh who rode at Redcar the night before or Plymouth that rode Rye House on the 23rd.... I understand there is a cutoff date but when? and if 1 team is effected why not those others? confused...... As for Rolling averages, it would be simple for the BSPA to issue details on a spreadsheet but we are talking about the BSPA so probably written down on post it notes!
  13. Kevin Woobert, Kevin Doohan and Kevin Hawkins? Mark Allen? Thanks Malcolm
  14. Star of Anglia Full lineup(riding order tbc) Kevin Doolan Dakota North Taylor Poole Morten Risager Mat Tresarrieu Rohan Tungate Cameron Heeps Olly Allen (Peterborough) Henning Bager (Coventry) David Bellego (Berwick) Ryan Fisher (Plymouth) Ritchie Hawkins (Rye House) Leigh Lanham (Rye House Mark Lemon (Newcastle) Filip Sitera (Berwick) Kevin Wolbert (Kings Lynn)
  15. Surely its more unprofessional not to have team suits for a team sport?
  16. Rohan has got a white witch, others have black ones. Strange as his and Dakota both been made by CW.
  17. Taylor's suit arrived at 1.30pm so was able to use in the afternoon. His suit is not the odd one.. ....
  18. I'll be another to agree with the line up. If it were to be that way then it would actually be in average order starting with Kevin the highest and Cameron the lowest, surely a first? Suits look good, even though there is an odd one....... Roll on thursday!
  19. Good question, maybe a better one would be, it is on sky at all? Afaik a deal has yet to be signed.. .....
