The PDC have just signed a new contract for the Darts on Sky and maybe "we" could take a leaf out of their book? Is Darts that popular as a sport or is it just what happens at a PDC event (look at the BDO in comparison) The Premier League darts seems to offer the whole package including the sport aspect, but how many go for the darts and how many go for the cheap beer? Why not try £10 entry into speedway and £1.50 a pint!

Eurosport covered some speedway in the 90's, Jan o pedersen's win in Gothenburg and world team cup from Sweden too. Seem to remember that Julian Ryder was commentator then so would do a good job IMO. But does it really matter as most of the people on here say they turn the sound off anyways.

Yeah that too, just that most people think that "sky" own the satelites instead they rent the space. Same as Virgin is a cable provider.

Moto gp and superbike are making parts that are standard eg ECU's and moto 2 even has standard engines that I believe are serviced by a central tuner and then given back by lottery. Look where that has got the sport, but speedway just can't see it! :'(

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv There should be a phased eradication of the current system. Over the next say 5 years all riders could become free agents. Loan fees could be set at 20% of an agreed transfer price set centrally to allow clubs to get value from their investment where a fee has been paid to date. Where a rider has not represented their parent club for 5 years he autimatically becomes a free agent . Where a current asset has never raced for his parent club he would become a free agent immediately. Im sure there would need to be further considerations but I think these points could form the basis to a constuctive way forward.

Looks like promotions are using their own riders or doing swap deals rather than loans. Seems as though a lot of Peterborough's assets are being over looked for some reason. Could certainly make a decent side with them alone.

Would have to agree that if north, Poole or tressarieu had been ipswich assets then they would have been used by them. All 3 could do a good job in the el at reserve but will they ride enough? North was moaning this year that he wasn't riding on a regular basis.
