  1. Personally I think it's make or break on Monday. Another loss and or poor meeting and the numbers will dwindle for the rest of the season. Win and or a good meeting can keep the fans and maybe gain some new ones. Hoping for the 2nd but fear it will be the 1st 😐

  3. Taken from www.lovespeedway24.co.uk Ipswich Witches League Cup hopes were well and truly extinguished after a hapless performance at Somerset on Friday night. It was one of the heaviest defeats the Witches have suffered since dropping into the Premier League and to add to the embarrassment, they didn’t even register one heat winner! It left Witches promoter Chris Louis fuming. “That was one of the worst Ipswich performances I have ever seen,” he said. “I could make all the excuses under the sun, but there are simply none to make. “We lacked everything, absolutely everything. “We were outgated and when we were in the race we never rode the right lines, out in the dirt. Basically we lacked bottle when we were out there. “I didn’t think when I put this team together in January it was that bad.” Asked whether he was concerned with the team, Louis added: “ On the back of this performance, yes I’m concerned.”
  4. You not heard of Special Dispensation?
  5. All EL meetings at PL tracks and all PL meetings at EL tracks, simple.....
  6. Yes they could do the "right" thing and give the w/c to the 8th placed riders but why not give it to 2 under 21 riders so they gain experience of a "big" event. eg Bates and Ellis, as they came 1st and 2nd in under 21 final. Or do what they do in Sweden and have a 4 man runoff before the 1st heat and the top 2 go into the main event. Kennett, Nielsen, Bates and Ellis. 3rd and 4th are meeting reserves.
  7. Not good for the Witches that Hawkins has jumped above Ellis, can now only use a NL guest when he is missing, which looks like 5th May at home to Newcastle,(2.30) unless he can do that meeting then get to Coventry for 7.30pm
  8. So we (the supporters) are only allowed to call the riders by their names and nothing else then? But i'm sure we all have certain names for riders though? Sure Peter Kildemand has been called "Killer", is that wrong? or Lasse Bjerre being called "baby Bjerre"? So it must also be wrong to call riders my a "given" nickname like Grin (Greg Hancock), Puk (Niels Kristian Iversen) or Woofy Woofy Woofy (Tai Woffinden)? And just when Mr number 84 was gathering pace!
  9. 2014 aves (with BP's) Worrall 8.40 (8.80) Risager 7.16 (7.79) Tungate 6.57 (7.00) Ellis 5.82 (6.55) Manzares 5.82 (7.39) Hawkins 5.68 (6.71) Heeps 4.26 (4.77)
  10. Much better meeting tonight and not just because the Witches won. Only Jorgensen and Douglas put up a fight for the away team really. Worrall - 2 good heats, 2 poor heats. Chased Birks but couldn't get past, chased Douglas but did find a way through after mistake was made on final corner. Manzares - paid 10 and again looked good. Messed up start in "easy" heat 8 though. Risager - Poor in 1st 2 heats, staying on white line but then deceided that outside line was his and never headed. Heeps - Went round kerb crawling Lanham and Risager in 2nd heat, Should be happy with paid 8, heading in right direction. Tungate - Looked more like the rider that rode in Risagers meeting. Ellis - Strange night, Lifted in heat 2 and then knocked off, in turn bringing down Hawkins. Great gate in 11 but looked to be having bike troubles. Hawkins - Wiped out in heat 2, and couldnt get off bike. did well to continue to score valuable points Lanham - Doesn't like the number 1 race jacket does he! Howe - Great 2nd ride to gate and go but poor otherwise Jorgensen - Showed his liking for Foxhall, Unbeaten by opponent in 1st 3. Best Scorpion on show Birks - Gated in 1 heat and did well to keep Worrall behind in 11. Auty - Very poor showing, only scored points by beating Williamson and Ellis when he retired. Williamson - Great 1st ride until messed up 2nd bend and clouted the fence hard, did well to stay on. Douglas - Possibly ran out of steam in the end, bike certainly sounded strange. always in thick of action. So a much better night for the Witches, but certainly helped with Lanham and Auty's scoring (or lack of). Track much better and seemed to be an outside line forming, more of same next week hopefully. Edit 2014 aves Worrall 8.40 Risager 7.16 Tungate 6.57 Ellis 5.82 Manzares 5.82 Hawkins 5.68 Heeps 4.26
  11. 1 hour warning...... you have 1 hour! (and a bit until the first race) Maybe if you are late you will get in for a discounted rate!
  12. maybe CL had a word and said "look Leigh i need you to ride against us as i need my boys to get some confidence, I'll even add to your points money"
  13. New Rolling aves . Think they are about right! Richie Worrall 8.43 (8.42) Rohan Tungate 6.99 (7.05) Morten Risager 6.64 (6.90) Cameron Heeps 6.39 (6.74) Gino Manzares 5.47 (5.00) 4th away meeting needed Adam Ellis 4.81 (4.14) Ritchie Hawkins 4.67(3.96) Need to keep Ellis above Hawkins so we can use a Pl guest
  14. Think we need to invest in some slick tyres for Thursday then we will be OK!
  15. Helps that North and Batch are good mates too. Klindt off to possibly Scunthorpe or Redcar?
  16. Ok,just that last year it was 32 matches for June, 29 July, 26 August and finally 24 for September

Witches #1 outscored opposition 28 to 20. Reserves 32 opposition 30
