  1. Eurosport now have start time at 7.30! Anyone know why? Eurosport now have start time at 7.30! Anyone know why?
  2. But can a rider be reassesed before he has ridden?...... (Brady Kurtz)
  3. But if Ward is not listed in a 1-7 he can ride wherever he wants! Regarding the contract what about the rulebook stating: 16.3.3 A Rider in a Team's declared 1 - 7 at the end of the previous Season and not included in that Team’s new Season’s initial declaration may not be subsequently re-introduced into that Team without the express permission of the MC. Or is that another ambiguous rule as "technically" he was in the initial declaration but then dropped? Just trying to play devils advocate here........
  4. Just to confuse/ muddly the waters a bit....... Ward is currently NOT named in Poole's 1-7 is he? So in theory this fixture would take preference. As for Holder, if he is released to make way for Ward then he will be at the German round too....
  5. As with many meetings this season, a lot will be down to the reserves. Its been 3 years since Charles Wright last rode at Foxhall scoring 3 pts for Workington. If he takes to Foxhall like his brother though....... Paul Starke scored 4 last year, and 6 from 2 visits the previous year. The Witches pair, have started superb, Hawkins looked sharp and Ellis was excellent in the EL last night (and his previous meetings too) so hopefully carries this on. However In the Witches 1-5 there area few question marks though...... Worrall has been in training with Daugavpils this week and flies in for this meeting. Tungate also been to Poland since last Thursday, looked great in Risager's testimonial but been poor since. Heeps still has a dodgy wrist but should be getting better Manzares admits his gating is poor but will improve, just depends how long it takes Risager blew a bike and bent another, had a week to sort so should be all good. For Somerset 1-5: Grajczonek normally rides Foxhall well and good replacement for the absent Morris Todd Kurtz normally has one good ride, but previously thats been from reserve Olly allen rode in 8 heats last year, won 4 of them, didn't score in the other half ( last 2 meetings have ended early through injury though) Aspgren and Brady Kurtz will be making their Foxhall debuts. Think theres a hint of rain about tonight, but one thing for sure, it will be cold! Witches to win just! But if they all turn up could be by over 10,
  6. I see that Somerset have "Brad" Kurtz riding for them on Thursday, is he Todd's other brother, the one with the 7 point ave?
  7. Mike Bacon ‏@Mike_Bacon 8h Why do many @SpeedwayGB club's press releases put teams in alphabetical not riding order? I know why and it's very sad #speedway #noidea Maybe he will make a point of putting them in rider order in the Star each Thursday......
  8. Well lets take a look, Morris has average of 8.84 and meetings on Thursday are........ Swindon v Coventry EL Ipswich v Somerset LC Redcar v Scunthorpe LC Sheffield v Newcastle LC Josh Grajczonek 8.41 Rene Bach 7.85 Ricky Wells 7.81 Safe to say it will be a Workington rider.......
  9. Hmmm Jack and Sam are our commentary team....... Whats the rules regarding the suits this year? do they have to be leather?
  10. metoffice also now suggests that we will miss the rain! will a packet of Haribo's do instead of the rock?
  11. Think he might still get some help from Hagon. There's a bit about it on Hagon thread. Weather update.... Still warm and sunny. Winds getting up a bit though. But might be because I'm now on Felixstowe seafront!
  12. Just down the road from the stadium and currently its warm and sunny but a Few puddles still about.
  13. So the 2 lineups "should" be as follows: Ipswich 1 Richie Worrall 2 Gino Manzares 3 Morten Risager 4 Cameron Heeps 5 Rohan Tungate 6 Adam Ellis 7 Ritchie Hawkins Rye House 1. Edward Kennett 2. Jason Bunyan R/R 3. Matt Tresarrieu 4. Jason Garrity 5. Steve Boxall 6. Luke Bowen 7. Simon Lambert Just looked at the weather, looking a bit wet about 8.15!
  14. I've noticed that both the official site for Ipswich and Rye House have listed the riders rather than putting them in rider order, wonder if this is their way of trying to make people buy programmes?
  15. If you take 1st exit after the Orwell bridge (Jt 57) into Ransomes, they have recently opened a Harvester, Toby Carvery, Frankie and Benny's and a Chiquitos?. Also there is a McDonalds, Subway, Burger King, Pizza Hut and 3 pubs nearby there. Most on the way to Foxhall
  16. car said it was 5c coming back from Saturdays meeting but baltic in the stand and even saw a gritter out on way home! As for food, there is a fish and chip shop on 2nd bend, never been to it though, sure someone will let you know what its like. However the chips are frozen french fries not real thing!
  17. Even colder!!! Looks like I'll need a 5th layer then. Now better go and find that patio heater....
  18. Any Witches win will do me. As long as it's warmer! Any Witches win will do me. As long as it's warmer!
  19. Well on last Night's showing looks a big season for Tungate. Seems to have changed his riding style, more aggressive with arms stretched out rather than upright body position. Bit disappointed with Heeps and Worrall but early days 😊 once Manzares sorts his gating will be fine. Risager and Hawkins both looked up for it. Finally what about Mr Louis, only fractionally slower than the pro's!
  20. You be in for concessions prices sooner than I thought!
  21. Last season: Ipswich 55 1 Ben Barker 3 3 2 3 3 14 2 Ritchie Hawkins 0 fx 2* 2+1 3 Rohan Tungate 0 3 1* 3 7+1 4 Morten Risager 3 0 2 3 8 5 Leigh Lanham 1* 2 3 2* 8+2 6 Adam Ellis 3 0 1 2* 6+1 7 Cameron Heeps 2* 2 3 1* 2* 0 10+3 Rye House Rockets 35 1 Josh Grajczonek 2 1* 3 0 1 1* 8+2 2 Jason Bunyan 1* 3 2 0 2 8+1 3 Anders Mellgren 2 2 3 3 0 2 12 4 Tyson Nelson 1* 1 0 0 1 3+1 5 Robert Mear RR 6 Kasper Lykke Nielsen 1 1* 1 0 1 4+1 7 Simon Lambert 0 0 0 0 Ipswich Witches 46 1 Ben Barker 1 3 3 1* 3 11 2 Jari Makinen 0 0 fx 0 3 Rohan Tungate 0 3 2 2 7 4 Morten Risager 1 1 1* 2 5 5 Leigh Lanham 1 3 2 2 2* 10 6 Adam Ellis 3 0 0 3 7 Cameron Heeps 1 3 3 2* 1* r 10 Rye House Rockets 44 1 Oliver Allen 3 0 3 3 0 9 2 Jason Bunyan 2* 2 2 1 7 3 Anders Mellgren 3 2 1 3 1 10 4 Jason Garrity 2* 1* 0 3 6 5 Tyson Nelson 2 2 3 0 7 6 Kasper Lykke Nielsen 2 1* 0 0 3 7 Simon Lambert 0 fx 1* 1 2 Doesn't really give us much of a clue as Rye will only have Lambert in their team from last year. Ipswich had Heeps at reserve, and have swapped Lanham and Barker for Worrall and Manzares. Should be a Witches win but early season so anything can happen. If Tungate and Heeps can kick on a gear in 2014 and add 1.5 - 2 to their aves then will be a good year for the Witches. In fact all the team have the potential to add at least a point, if they do will be there or there abouts come October.
  22. Suits look good. Seems to be the in thing this year to have more Black.
  23. Let riders do what they want regarding moving, rolling or jumping at the start. If they touch the tapes they get excluded. Would stop the did he didn't he move scenario. When a rider moves forward the ref just waits until they roll back and then let's the tapes go. Or have a system that releases the tapes at a random time after the green light is pressed. Then upto the ref to just see if anyone touches the tapes.
