  1. Only Lasse Bjerre from 2014 EL riders has an average that fits 4.66. So will need a PL rider to double up, but not Aussie's as not allowed to, Does Stuart Robson fit? Or bring back a rider pre 2014?
  2. Doens't Morris need a visa then? Thought riders needing one couldn't double in 2015?
  3. Well someones happy...... Ipswich Witches director of speedway Chris Louis admitted to being “more than happy” with the appointment of Phil Hilton as team manager. taken from http://www.lovespeedway24.co.uk/
  4. Tbh the team manager doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to be any good. What he needs is 7 willing riders and background of what makes them tick. Also a brown envelope or 2 to make them ride a certain way would help. Eg make sure you don't get a 4-2 so the opposition can't put in a tac sub but will still pay for 2nd place?! Also depends on his "tools" final 2 places will have a big say on whether the Witches will be there abouts come autumn
  5. Greaves, Greenwood, Morley, Halsey any of the other Mildenhall youngsters
  6. Would be even better if we had a PA system that worked properly first!
  7. taken from http://www.ipswichwitches.co Co-promoter Chris Louis is pleased with the team-building completed so far and has this message for Foxhall fans: "The final two pieces of the jigsaw are almost in place and one thing I can assure you is that once again we are in for an entertaining year of Speedway on the heath. I like you am craving silverware in the cabinet to go alongside that entertainment, and having had long conversations with our new Team Manager (who will be announced very soon), I know he is adamant that any type of year, however entertaining, will have been wasted if that’s not the case! I hope that when the full team has been announced, you will agree it is a team worth supporting, it will as usual have the full support of the management team, so let’s get right behind them and make 2015 a season to remember!
  8. New team manager will be announced tomorrow.......
  9. Why not? Its happened already... "Co-promoter Steve Whitehead said: “There had been some queries about Michael’s average, which would have been converted to 7.28 for the Premier League based on his 2014 performances with Belle Vue. and we received confirmation that his average would be the 2013 figure of 4.92" Linus Sindstrom has a EL ave of 7.22 (from 2013) and a PL ave 9.53 (from 2010) Which ave would be used if he came back? Steve Johnston EL 5.35 (2008) or PL ave 7.54 (2010)
  10. So someone like Sundstrom could go back into the PL on his current PL ave then....
  11. But how long does an average stay current? thats my point and using Sundstrom as an example. Sure theres more riders out there...
  12. But who needs to buy a programme? doesn't have a value of 2.50 does it? Over a league season it's a saving of £46 but like I said you need to attend all fixtures. Miss a couple and it's the same price as 'pay as you go' As for Linus his current EL Ave wouldn't let him ride Pl. But his current PL ave does! If you have a current ave from previous year then that has to be the one used. Not the one ftom when ridden in that league.
  13. Waste of money again imo. Not worried about the 'free' programme. But if you are unable to attend whilst on annual holiday that's the discount gone! Edit as Workington have signed Palm Toft on old pl ave rather than current EL Ave converted. What would Linus Sundstrom ave be? Rode for Rye House in PL in 2010 so would be his current PL ave wouldn't it?
  14. Says season tickets are £210 but doesn't say how many meetings?
  15. Couldn't we apply the Kurtz ruling of 2014 and get the average reduced by one level?
  16. Would he be a 5.00 or a 3? Edit he's a 5.00.....
  17. Think the reason he cannot be a Panther is the very same reason he cannot go to Somerset?! (Or Edinburgh)
  18. But it that the fault of Ipswich as Lakeside own his contract and have first call on him. PL places should be sorted first and then the draft fitted in around that, Birks was signed up to Sheffield first so couldn't go back to Swindon. Also seems case with Lambert at Leicester, now cannot sign for his PL club due to clash of race nights! Seems Ellis is stuck between a rock and a hard place through no real fault of his own. Putting him in the "B" grade has done him no favours aswell.
  19. Would it be possible for riders to swap clubs if deemed in the best interests and both clubs agree?
  20. Putting Tungate at 3 will help improve his average as won't have harder heat 13.
