Somethings not quite right is it? Could be a replacement for Smith, Sedgemen, Douglas, Or Davies. All with aves similiar and possibly struggling with new visa (either under 7 or new application) Would also mean a nice little windfall for Silver if Garrity is sold.....So who's got the money?

Rohan Tungate had a 3 year visa but was revoked along with the rest of them....so now needs to reapply like the rest including Fisher.

Are we saying that the Ipswich promoter still doesn't understand the rules then.....

"Certificate of Sponsorships are normally approved for the speedway season which runs from 15th March to 31st October or for the contract period which can be for up to four years" So does that mean if a rider were to sign a 4 year contract they would continue on the initial visa regardless of ave?

Maybe he has 2 more years to gain the average? Or CL still doesn't understand the rules!

like has already been mentioned it was September that the promoters were warned, but I believe it was way before that they were told what would happen in future years if they continued to ignore the rules .....as for meeting the criteria, no he hasn't hence why he is ineligible for a visa.

The promotion would have known since the end of last season they were ineligible if they were doing their jobs right......

As Workington have now ruled out Campton and Wethers, could they now recall one of their own assets (don't know any from memory) from a loan to another club? Likewise if Manzares is refused at Ipswich could/would they recall Lanham to fill the gap?

Think the rules state a rider has 3 years to make his starting ave. If he fails to do so then he would be refused a visa the 4th year. Might struggle with Manzares as the gov might say he should have been a 7 so will have to start 2015 on that ave!

Think a few Witches fans thought he would sign for the Witches and surprised that he went to Sheffield. Not had much racing on a 500cc so can only improve and with Sheffield being a bigger track it should suit him more. Certainly think he will struggle at the smaller ones, Pinjar is about 160m i believe, so at the moment glad we got Covatti rather than Sissis...... time will tell.

Semi 2 : Awarded - Bates, Smith, Russell, Allen (Allen drops it coming out of turn 4 going into the last lap while leading comfortably, he's excluded and race awarded) Final : Heeps 1st, Bates 2nd, Winchester 3rd, Smith 4th Heat scores: Heeps 15, Allen 14, Bates 13, Winchester 12, Smith 9, Sissis 8, Rutherford 8, Russell 8 (semi qualifiers) Scoble 7, Williams 5, Gittus 5, Furfaro 4, Heys 3, Gill 2, Ballantyne 2 (withdrew, injured), Clemens DNR Sissis 1,1,0,3.3 Fell 1st turn in the race he didn't score and got off the track. finished the heats with a win, but only 2 riders in the race! Time scales for the James Stewart case: Failed test on 12th April, was suspended on the 17th June (66 days after). His hearing was 23rd October (128 days later) Was notified of verdict on the 12th December (50 days after hearing) So if Darcy Ward knows whats happening by next week it will be very quick!

Pity someone with some common sense and understanding of the English language couldn't take the promoters places then the situation that the riders (and fans) find themselves in wouldn't have happened! Not as though they (the promoters) were not given any warning..... Not just Ipswich but I think its safe to tar all of the current promotions with the same brush!

So Ipswich having been issused 3 visas for Tungate, Heeps and Manzares for the start of 2014 will be ok then as all have only ridden for the Witches in that time? Where as a rider who on his 2nd year rode on loan to another club would have their visa cancelled? But if its on loan would this not be ok?

Werent the BSPA warned a while ago that what they were doing regarding the 5 not 7 ave was wrong and the UKBA knew that they were upto? seems yet again that the BSPA has ####ed up but this time in a very big way! taken from https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-sportsperson-worker-visa/overview How long you can stay? You can come to the UK with a Tier 2 (Sportsperson) visa for up to 3 years. So the ones already on this visa should be ok...?

What about those who have a 3 year visa? Would also think new riders to UK last year ok as have the 2 years to obtain ave requirement?
