Have the Witches got 7 eligible riders yet?

Only 5 PL clubs not riding on Good Friday. (Berwick, Newcastle, Rye House, Scunthorpe, Workington) So not much choice, other clubs need guests too....

Just found the following: Ipswich Speedway Promotions Ltd Ipswich Suffolk Tier 2 (A rating) Sport updated on the 26th Feb. so looks like the Witches do have their licence as of today..... only 7 clubs do though at present!

Still no licence back though....... From Mike Bacon: @ipswichspeedway fans visa latest. Just spoke to CL. Witches have been told b getting licence any day now. Tapes up soon boys & girls @ipswichspeedway Once licence in place @rohantungate & @Gino_Manzares can apply for their visas. Hell Yes they can!! #speedway

Hmmm so they meet the criteria. But without ipswich having their sponsorship licence back, they cannot apply for a visa No visa no entry No entry no racing....... I meet the criteria for a working visa for Australia. But can only apply once I have a certain amount of money in the bank and a return ticket that had been paid for. Then i might get the visa once passport is sent off and takes 6-8 weeks to get.....If accepted Long way to go.....

Correct he represented the USA.... but afaik that means nothing...... unless thats what the Ipswich promotion are pining their hopes on, and have been told its ok. Then again they could have "read" the rules wrong and Manzares isn't getting a visa. Not that anything can be done until they are given their sponsorship licence back........

Ah you mean first 3 after assessed ave, so 3.00 for 1st year then 3 reductions....?

Would Ellis still get the 2.5% reduction though?

So what's now stopping a team 'signing' a rider and just use guests instead?

16.5.3 No facility is permitted to replace a Rider, who although included in a Re-declaration has not made an appearance for that Team since being re-declared Doesn't seem that the Plymouth promotion are very good at understanding the rules of speedway does it? Hope the one they do understand is 15.1.2 Heats shall be anti-clockwise of 4 laps duration, unless the SR’s state otherwise.

Maybe they arrived on a holiday visa and are here (in Europe) to sort out equipment etc. Then when their work visa arrives they will leave the UK and then re- enter. Might be possible or is the passport needed for the working visa to be applied for?

A couple of riders have unfortunatley "made it" to the stock car fence in the past! Brett Saunders being 1, Kenny Carter another and more recently Lukas Dryml and Ryan Fisher

Looking through the new rules: 16.1.2 If neither Club has “ownership”, then it is determined by the League status of the Club that does “own” the Rider. If that Club is a NL Club then agreement can be made otherwise SR 16.1 applies. So Ipswich could have made an agreement with Birmingham over the use of Danny King then, only had to ask?

Billy Sanders lineup: King, Ellis, Risager, Schlein, Heeps, Nielsen, Garrity, Manzares, Barker, Kerr, Hawkins, Davies, Covatti, Robert Lambert, Tungate and Cook (tbc) Nice to see 16 riders for once Don't know if the tbc is for Cook or for any of the lineup....

So if they have to start again, the previous ave would have to be over 7, if not top 4 in state championships. When are the state championships in the US?

My point was would having a 3 year visa help Manzares gain a new visa as he still has his 2nd and 3rd year "left"? Where as Poole and Campton were at the end of their "time" and have not met a 7 point ave in any of their years in the UK..... Tungate had a 3 year visa too but has to reapply,

Wasn't Manzares given a 3 year visa at the start of 2014 so maybe that helps? *clutching at another straw*

Just pointing out what has happened so far. Manzares is in trouble with this average but being a new rider to the league may help..... but who knows?

Ipswich promotion keeping fans in the dark...... never!
