  1. This is a SPEEDWAY forum, not a prison recall noticeboard….move on.
  2. Having witnessed the Colts lose at Middlesbrough, who are weak themselves, can only see a big win for the Oxford third team. A shame to see so many guests in a development league.
  3. So whats the point of a ‘ National Speedway Stadium’ if it doesn't hold the BIG meetings? He still dropped points and had to come from behind so he ain't unbeatable around there and which of the other riders had never ridden the place before ? Name me a neutral track that could hold it, within the UK then that could actually accommodate such a meeting ?
  4. It’s called the ‘ NATIONAL SPEEDWAY STADIUM’ for a reason.
  5. Ricky Ashworth, Steve Worrell and quite a few more with broken bones they wouldn't have received at other tracks. Its not ‘the fence’ its what ‘the fence’ is attached too, ARMCO barrier and a earth mound, no give whatsoever, which is why the SCB Refs reports had the track rated as the worst for ‘faults’ in the country until the chairman changed the reporting system. Wonder why ? Dont get me wrong, the track itself always produces good racing but its outer fence construction, with steel beams sticking out and wire ropes is a joke for a speedway track.
  6. Ive been kicking a football for 68 years or so, still not very good at it.
  7. Announced last night that Redcar are using Justin Sedgeman , but can’t see a shock result on the cards unfortunately.
  8. Can tell you have never managed a team .There is a bonus point to be claimed so try and score as many points as possible at home ? The team felt he was the best man for the job , so he got it.
  9. As Trigger and Mulford ride for both I can’t see that happening.
  10. Bears lost Charles Wright at the end of 23 and didnt win a match after that. They've lost King this season and lost one of the best track curators in the country leading to an inconsistent home track and all you can do is moan . What a great supporter you are, the club have gone out and signed one of the only riders available, as they will , quite rightly ,never resign Garrity. Gilkes is young and British and rides Redcar very well, yes, hes not a heat leader but he’ll do a good job for the Bears taking some of the pressure currently on Bailey and Edwards. Support your team !
  11. But a guest is still a guest and their not allowed one which everyone , but you , appears to understand.
  12. A guest IS a facility, if theres no facility it means a 2 point unattached rider.
  13. The question was why Edinburgh struggled to find guests , not why they didn’t find one TODAY !
  14. Yes, too many Friday night clubs and refusing to pay the high demands that guests usually ask for.
  15. As they are not allowed a ‘guest’, he can’t be a ‘guest’…..it’s not difficult …….for most people.
  16. and allowed to carry on riding with no action from his club or the SCB so far, very disappointing.
  17. No such rule in the 2024 SCB rule book, but possibly good ‘policy’. Redcars current track staff are very new to the job and very much learning as they go. It certainly wasn't the method used by the previous two excellent track curators.
  18. Are you for real ! You obviously weren't watching as Danny went in too hot trying to go round the boards on a greasy surface and lost the back end so slid off. At the same time Tate had too much grip on the exit and lifted , crashing on the straight. Try watching the racing or even understanding what its like riding a speedway bike.
  19. But the head of British Speedway, Godfrey , says it’s all fine, welcome back Jason, ride on my track first , setting a great example to the sport.
  20. They've had ONE match and that was AWAY on a less than perfect track for gods sake !
  21. Any chance of you renaming this thread MIDDLESBROUGH ?
  22. So YOU dont believe it when it comes from the horses mouth ?…..Wow.
  23. With points to play with….how about Tom Wooley ? Was very popular at Redcar and is a proven NL scorer.
