  1. His Dad put on Facebook that he didn’t have a team in the championship or NDL , which is incredible as I thought he was a good prospect . I think his point scoring proves he is ready for a championship reserve spot, he’s too good for NDL only.
  2. My apologies but I just hadn't seen him ride in the second halfs at Redcar. Didnt Dayle Wood beat just about everybody ?
  3. Well the Tigers are confirmed for 2025 so let’s start the guessing game on the team. Trigger has announced he isn’t in it, Don’t expect Mulford to be in the NDL and Hocanuik has retired already and I doubt Ward will reappear as he has possible options closer to his home. That leaves local lad Phillips as the no.1 elect. Rathbone might fancy the Workington option as he lives there but could double up with just Jamie Halder remaining. The NJL side doesn’t have any immediate replacement as Katie Gordon was rarely seen last season after being announced as the no.8 and young McTear isnt upto speed yet. Kyran Lyden is an obvious choice as a Middlesbrough lad but I’m told he doesn’t seem to be in favour having chosen to ride at Edinburgh. Luke Muff was a regular in the second halfs and he would certainly liven the pits up. Former Cub Laylen Richardson although a Workington lad might fancy this NDL - Trophy doubling up ? Theres a lad up the road, Oliie Booth, but he doesn’t seem to ride much at Redcar . Elliot Kelly to reappear ? After that I’m struggling for names although the Bears reserve(s) might feature ? Any suggestions KK62 ?
  4. You must be a promoter as thats as confusing as your first post. So Kent have to find seven riders who don't actually ride for anyone else ? and are of a reasonable standard to ride at NDL level……the reason the suggestion that riders ride in both leagues is that there isnt enough riders in the first place. I think this is why fans are leaving the sport, its just too confusing !
  5. As its two different leagues , the NDL and the ‘ Trophy League’ , using the same riders please explain how you expected Kent to enter both ? Same applies to your Kings Lynn statement, why would an established NDL team drop into the ‘Trophy’ league and make the NDL league one team short ? Or am I missing something ? ( speedway now confuses the hell out me with riders riding for two or more clubs, clubs running three teams and rules that aren't rules for some but are for others ).
  6. Try reading the previous post… “Every other thread in the Championship section is for opinions, rumours as well as facts official or common knowledge. This is the only thread for confirmed signings.”
  7. Which means absolutely nothing these days, just a nice loan fee for doing nothing.
  8. If you mean Jordan Stewart, he's retired, has his own house , about to get married and about 4 stone heavier than when he last got on a speedway bike so I think you can discount him.
  9. So the news is its to be the same as last season with any newbie 500 rider having to compete against an NDL 5 pointer and teams advertising for 125 riders to come and ride. Looks like a couple of Edinburgh prospects heading over to Berwick ? That actually makes sense with Edinburgh struggling to fit all the NJL matches in. The photo on the SCB site doesn't do the league any favours though, a three rider team ( one missing ) which has at least one guest in it ( Watson ) if not two ( isn't the 125 rider a Glasgow kid? ). Oh well, at least theres rides there for those that want them and its a 5 CLUB league, so thats good
  10. So still TWO then, two clubs but three teams who , it appears , struggle to fill the teams on a regular basis and use the R/R facility in a junior fixture . Im glad they provide race time but you wont ever convince me that it's a ‘ league ‘ until theres more CLUBS in it.
  11. If thats the case, it’s typical speedway, a mess of an idea ! How can you have two ‘leagues’ running with different team sizes and riders competing in both ? Doubling up is what has caused 80% of the issues in British speedway as it is . Sounds like a series of ‘Amateur challenge matches’ where anyone can enter.
  12. North-South divide ? Edinburgh, Workington?, Redcar, Belle Vue, Sheffthorpe Leicester,Oxford, Kings Lynn?, Iwade? plus?
  13. Well we can rule Trigger out now after his Dads post that he hasn't got a team at any level…..which is ridiculous.
  14. My mistake, must have misunderstood what I was told. I’ll add to the fun , as I don't know the proper averages.. Wright Riss Jorgensen Edwards Mulford Bailey and Phillips ( doubling up in Tigers NDL )
  15. Disappointing but I know you weren't happy the way it was being run.
  16. and just how many official meetings at Redcar has he competed in ?
  17. So Thompson, James and Foord aren't above him in the averages ? ( 10+, 8+ and 7.8 compared to his 7.6 ) Now before you start quoting GSA averages , they only go off programmed rides and can be very misleading , but whatever, you think he's worth a championship place, I don't. He might be worth a place in the Tigers NDL team though.
  18. MPT left in acrimonious circumstances so doubt he’ll want to come back , but who knows in speedway.
  19. Don’t rate Thomson, a one track rider and Spencer is no spring chicken and not even a heat leader in a weak NDL.
  20. So why did you quote Somerset? which is certainly not in the middle of the country.
  21. Trigger to Poole I reckon , which is a shame as I thought he did well. Pijper would be ok if there's a strong partner , Mulford? , but then you need a number 2, Newman to return perhaps ? Wouldn't Jorgensen be an option instead of Riss / King ? Dont see the aforementioned Tom Spencer being up to Championship standard and if paired with Pijper you are very weak at reserve.
  22. Doubt Redcar will be able to avoid fixture clashes if they aren't available as I believe Redcar don't arrange the fixtures the SCB do and other clubs will be reluctant to change knowing they are missing as its to their advantage, particularly the fellow Friday night tracks who wont want to mess their own home fixtures up. But then the ‘draws’ for the BSN and Cup have been conveniently rigged so who knows what they have ‘arranged’. Have the Polish fixtures been arranged yet ?
  23. You have a very short memory. Previous Team number 1, above Charles Wright, previous Riders Champion, only his illness meant he had a poor 2023, double figure scores when guesting for Bears in 2024.
  24. Underwhelmed…again. Announcing ‘potential NDL extension’ ?….so something that hasn't actually been sorted and they promised a lot last year that didnt materialise. ‘Big weekend event’? In APRIL ??? Loads of questions… if these are to be run in early April some clubs wont have started their fixtures and we could be faced with riders representing clubs they have yet to ride for in any sort of meaningful fixture ? As they run so early then Im assuming the rider qualifications will be judged on the previous seasons average ? Riders Championship should be towards the end if the season so a club knows who is its number 1, not based on what happened the previous year, when so many riders will have moved clubs. No 4 team tournament is a disappointment. Two British GP’s and no big event the night before ? Cup/ BSN draws ?…they obviously weren't drawn at all. Disappointed? …yes, but then we knew it would be the same old same old…
