  1. The ACU would ask the SCB who are currently dictated too by the BSPA. This has happened several times over the last few years. As nice a guy as Mr. Vatcher is , he is a ' yes ' man and has been told what to do on a number of occasions in recent times by the SCB / BSPA liaison officer , a Mr. Godfrey I believe. Even when the SCB made a decision the same decision was ignored by said mafia and they just did what they pleased. The ACU gave up on speedway years ago but it's about time they had a serous look at the sport and how its governed.
  2. Neil Vatcher said on the microphone at Redcar last night that he had asked for two U-21's to be the reserves at Cardiff but was over ruled. By whom? He's supposed to be the S.C.B. Head so has the B.S.P.A. mafia got involved again ?
  3. If previous ruling's by the S.C.B. ( or even the B.S.P.A.) are anything to go by where Glasgow are concerned then Glasgow will come out fine.
  4. BT 's offer for 2019 worked out at less than 5k per Premiership club with no additional payment for ' live transmission' from each club. Compare that with the 100k plus that Sky gave each Premiership club plus 5k per meeting hosted. A small committee of promoters , including Belle Vue and Berwick with their insider knowledge of live streaming , was set up to look into the possibility of a once weekly , Match of the Day style programme. As yet nothing has been agreed with anybody.
  5. And you think that Plymouth fans and management will welcome Wallinger back with open arms and he will be very happy to go back to a set of fans who have given nothing but abuse to his proposed move to his home town club? Really? Stand by for another ' retirement '.
  6. So Redcar want to sign the rider, Plymouth happy to let him go ( eventually ) but the BSPA put a stop to it...... only in speedway would this make sense.
  7. I wouldn't waste your time Mr.Parr as ' Loose Diamond ' is one of those key board warriors who appears never to have left their bedroom and been into the real world and just writes any old drivel that enters their empty head ( just check out any of their comments on this forum for proof of that) Not one to waste your valuable time on but thank you for trying to explain the situation anyway.
  8. You've never known a promoter lie??? REALLY!?!?!? ( sorry, couldn't resist that. The Plymouth promoter may not be like the BSPA committee )
  9. If it's a ' Forum ' it can't be classed as official or even reliable ( although I believe it will turn out to be true before the transfer deadline ) as 70% of what appears on forums is speculation, gossip, or just down right lies. Just look on here!
  10. No, only what this one person is saying, nothing from either club.
  11. I'm assuming your not very old as your acting like an upset child. This happens all the time in every sport. You have had Wallinger a couple of matches ? Now he's gone, move on.
  12. Redcar kept him longer than most clubs would have and he obviously got paid good money to travel from Cornwall. Replacing a purchased rider is not a ' buying ' clubs issue. It's a development league, try developing one !
  13. Thanks Dave, his names Alcock but we will not argue over Ad or All .....but Loose Diamond might!
  14. If this move has gone ahead, and there's only you saying it has, how is it a nail in the development league? Its a rider from the lowest league moving to a higher league, isn't that what's supposed to happen?
  15. You appear to be very lacking in any understanding of the situation here and acting very childishly. If this move has gone through then it should be of no surprise to anyone. Wallinger has always stated his desire to be a ' Bear ' as its his local club and he first started at Redcar as a ' Cub '. When first approached this season he was unable to sign as he as injured and the move was put on ice and Redcar looked elsewhere. Having been harshly treated by Scunthorpe last season and Birmingham this he understandably wants to ride where he trusts the management and has always got on with the current Redcar regime . Given his residence is less than an hour from Redcar and it's his ' dream move ' why would he turn the move down? and why do you believe they have done anything underhand? Having had personal dealing's ( over sponsorship) with the promotion at Redcar ,who have been criticised for their naivety and honesty at times , I don't think they will have done anything to change that. You are just upset at a rider leaving to try and better himself, good luck to the lad as this may be his last chance.
  16. He holds a Polish passport and due to Speedways ridiculous rules, even though he lives in England, is educated in England and holds a British speedway licence, he can't ' race ' in England's junior league.
  17. What sort of statement is that? Kelly was stopped from riding so they brought a local lad in as a guest who had ridden for them in the past , Gems brought a National League rider from Stoke into their team who I understand had also ridden for them once before . You really do put some silly comments on here.
  18. He's a Middlesbrough lad and was replacing Elliott Kelly who had been told by Mildenhall , his NL club, not to ride (?) . I understand Rathbone has ' guested ' a number of times at Redcar.
  19. As a neutral , I risked the trip and the forecast (yet again ) but was rewarded by sharp presentation and a decent meeting. 21 races completed in 1 and a half hours with lightening and rain all around. Congratulations to all concerned in getting the meeting completed. Not the best racing I've seen at Redcar but the Diamonds didnt put up much of a fight and when they did gate the Bears top end were simply too good for them. Jorgensen and Østergaard had there moments but Worrell was a pale shadow of his former self and race wins weren't coming easily. Wright, Riss, Palm-Toft and Stewart were class acts and Andersen , despite his lack of points, was in the thick of it.The Bears are a good side but Wooley looks out of his depth which could prove costly come the play off's. The junior match was rattled through, understandably, but credit where it's due for the club running it at all when other clubs would simply have cancelled it. Rathbone looks a prospect and the Kids races were excellent. Looked a good crowd and a great atmosphere around the place but parking was an issue as the main car park was full by 6:45 . Not many Diamonds fans in attendance which was surprising but perhaps the weather forecast put them off as not as many of the Workington fans there as I've seen before. As Arnie says..." I'll be back ".
  20. None of those lads were a reserve in the championship at the time ( too young ). Try to explain that situation to a new speedway fan, " he's good enough to ride in the league above but only good enough to be classed as a reserve in the Academy league ?" Simply not right. if a rider is in a championship side then surely he should be restricted to the top 5 in the NL? and while I'm having a rant, no rider should be riding in all 3 divisions, simply idiotic and impossible to explain. The NL is a good product but it needs to look at these things and not go the way of the other two divisions, with guests, R/R etc . items for El Supremo Mr. Pipe to sort out in the winter?
  21. Bailey is a slow burner and one for the future but it sums up the rules of the sport when a Championship reserve can be a reserve in the National League whilst his Championship reserve partner is No.1.
  22. If you read Neil's response more carefully you will see he quoted £12000 average over two matches. So for the home match that makes your ' prize ' fund £7-8,000 tops? That isn't going to excite the public. I welcome any ideas that might improve attendances but this doesn't appeal to me never mind someone who hasn't seen the sport. I could be just old and set in my ways, what do you think of the idea Neil?
  23. Most if not all sponsorship money goes into keeping the club running, not into riders wages, although no doubt it may subsidise some riders ar some clubs depending how big the ' deal ' is. Average main sponsor would pay around £10-12000 for a season ( some pay less if the club is desperate) Meeting sponsorship is around £500 at most championship tracks. Take away the actual cost of hosting the sponsors, ( drinks, Buffett, programmes etc) that doesn't leave a lot for the club or for a prize. The sport doesn't " sound big " because it isn't.
