  1. Why do you think tractors go out after every four heats? To put the track back to somewhere near how it was to start with ! Track walks are to see what it’s like before the first heat and to work out bike set ups , which if you knew anything about bikes is quite important .
  2. and it shouldn’t be like that three quarters of the way through…
  3. They wouldn’t have seen it on a track walk as it was covered with shale at the time . Have you not noticed the track gets worn each time it’s raced on !!!
  4. Just look on the SCB staff site and you will see the co track curator, co team manager and co promoter are one and the same person.
  5. Your getting a rider scoring double his current average for a rider who hasn’t scored half of his. Be thankful for small mercy’s.
  6. and years ago we didn’t have paramedics and ambulances in attendance, it was St.Johns volunteers …..times have moved on thankfully.
  7. Because it depends on their injury and immediate treatment , wether a medic needs to be in attendance as if they have administered morphine the paramedic has to be with him at all times to do the handover. Many riders have made their own way to hospitals during a meeting but with relatively minor or non life threatening injuries.
  8. Teesside ‘ FIP Consulting ‘ Tigers 12 Redcar ‘Erimus Insurance’ Cubs 24. Tigers E.Davison 0 ( from one ride, withdrawn injured ) L.Richardson 3, C.Rushen 9 ( max ) D.McTeer 0. Cubs. K.Lyden 9 ( max ) K.Gordon 6+3 ( paid max ) O.Bovingdon 6, S.Norman 3+3.
  9. Poor entertainment as far as a competitive meeting goes, just the one great ride from Joe Thompson worthy of note. Bears not competitive once they hit the numerous bumps on bends one and two. Easy win for the Lions who deserved the big pay night. Sorry to see the state of the track ( no curb visible on the back straight anymore ) and the ‘ centre green ‘ ( abandoned overgrown wasteland ) . Leicester a cert for the play offs on home form alone.
  10. but not every club pays those or supplies vans, and Newcastle certainly didn’t use too .
  11. Good crowd, close racing but very little overtaking as the track is one line at the moment with only Nicholls making the outside pass work, hence the ‘ win a race then run lasts scorers. The track may mature as the season goes on and the outside might work more consistently with a bit more moisture in it. Thought the ref should have got a grip of the starts as there was constant movement from both sides in just about every race. Nicholls duped Wright into breaking the tapes and Kerr got away with one after already being penalised, otherwise an enjoyable meeting at a new (?) venue.
  12. Guests are rarely cheaper as they know you need them.
  13. and if the ‘ fastest ‘ rider makes a big mistake on the last bends and doesn’t therefore win ?
  14. Like a fork leg that is used in other forms of motorcycle racing perhaps !
  15. Redcar ‘ Erimus Insurance ‘ Cubs 23 Teesside ‘ FIP Consulting ‘ Tigers 13. Cubs Alex Goldsbrough 6 , Katie Gordon 6+2, Ollie Bovingdon 6+2, Seth Norman 5. Tigers Edward Davison 6, Laylan Richardson 0, Cooper Rushen 5, Dan McTeer 2+1.
  16. Dont say that to Redcar fans as Jason Edwards is fast becoming the star of the show, leading opposition numbers 1’s for fun !
  17. No, they managed that all by them selves.
  18. Lakeside were never supposed to have Fridays as their official race night, it was supposed to be Saturday, but Cook had the management over when he released his fixtures. Hence the back lash.
  19. Isn’t that what the NDL is supposed to be about ? To give riders a chance to develop ? You shouldn’t expect higher standards in the lower league.
  20. The grandstand capacity used to be 1;000 so , if it was half full, and it didn’t look that full on the photographs, was there nearly 1,000 spread out elsewhere?
