Redcar v Scunthorpe 21 July
Fortythirtyeight replied to Tosh1218's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Why’s it ironic? The following posts clearly stated what can and can’t be done at Redcar if you care to read them. -
Interesting to see that Josh Embleton was in the Redcar programme ( last weeks as they used an insert for last night ) to ride in the 2nd half. Thought he was out for the season ?

The rules on tyres are there to prevent cheating, they used to cheat so they brought a rule in to stop it. Now it doesn’t suit you because you can’t wait ten minutes so you want it changed, the sport is in decline , for lots and lots of reasons, moaning about having to wait whilst everyone gets a fare crack at winning a meeting is probably one of them.
-
You really don’t know how it works do you….each rider…all 16 of them , should have a spare wheel and a brand new £45 tyre ( unauthorised ) on it….just in case ? A tyre that if they don’t qualify they can’t use at any other meeting ! Think they know what they are dealing with and you just need to be a bit more patient.

Plans for next season ?
Fortythirtyeight replied to davieb1's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With question marks over a few championship tracks, Edinburgh ( stadium issues ) Plymouth ( lack of a crowd ) Birmingham ( lack of a crowd and massive financial losses allegedly) and possibly one or two who haven’t gone public with their concerns, then the options are limited. Only Oxford making noises about moving ‘up’ but to what ? -

So Rathbone gets dumped ? Thought he was doing ok considering his lack of track activity and in the difficult no.2 position.

If your telling me that only one UK female racer has a SCB licence then it makes it a complete mockery that they held a ‘ Championship ‘ anyway ! Liebmann would come in on a 5 , I asked Mr. Vatcher as I was that impressed with her posting sub 57 second race times on borrowed equipment. The lady looked good enough to score points in the championship given an opportunity.

Northern Junior League 2023
Fortythirtyeight replied to Fortythirtyeight's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Might just be that because the senior teams keep moving fixtures and the BYC keep moving dates then the NJL have to change the dates of matches so a published fixture list for juniors isn’t worth the paper it is written on. Redcar Cubs have had their first three fixtures postponed due to circumstances they had no control over, please remember they are at the mercy of their clubs and mams/dads and rider availability. -
So you dont know the rules for qualification but still think your comment worthwhile and helpful to a rider out of form ? Your right on one thing, it’s none of your business…… so why make such a disparaging comment ? Harrison is in his first season at this level so wouldn’t be within the qualification guidelines, which as usual with the SCB are not clear and open and can be changed for “the benefit of the sport “ at any time. Harrison is just back from injury so he will get his chance , quite possibly on the day , this could be Harry’s last chance to ride in this meeting, and if your sure there’s more under 19’s ahead of him…..impress me, name them.
-
Let’s face it, the SCB have a long history of dealing with individuals and clubs in a very inconsistent way, it’s called favouritism. I’m not commenting on the individual case as it appears very few know the truth about what happened but when it comes to dealing with such things you can rely on the SCB NOT to be clear and open about their decisions.

So if it’s in print , it must be true ??? like some of the rubbish we see on this forum. ? what was actually said, then interpreted, then printed, is quite often a long way off what was meant. If he wasn’t right, he would not be riding, that’s why he took so long off. He certainly didn’t look dangerous whilst scoring paid 13 last week.
