Wrong, I didn’t have any bitterness for smith. I talk with him a few times but to be honest he doesn’t listen and he thought he knew everything. But he wasn’t the big businessman he like to put about. The eye watering losses he racked up at bv were proof enough. Will things change for bv now he’s gone, I don’t think so in fact it will probably get a lot lot worser.

The only sure way to get top riders back in uk speedway is to pay more money than Poland, Sweden etc. A top No1 would cost a club well over £4000 plus plus plus a meeting and that isn’t gona happen as uk speedway is bust. Sad but thats the reality of where the sport has been run down to.

If you read the bv press release about Smith leaving it says he planned it “months ago” and everything was going to a plan. Which all seems very odd but we must believe bv and not assume bv are misleading us from the truth even though the PR at bv is rubbish.
