King's Lynn v Wolves 15/06/23
Speedtiger replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Who is the stand-in Team Manager for this match. Has Brady gone for good or just this match? What’s going on at KL? -
Belle Vue v Wolves KOC 1st Leg 10/4 12.00
Speedtiger replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
26 down not an encouraging situation to make a match of it. Think a lot of supporters will give it a miss. Maybe should have made it a league meeting and get a big BH crowd in. -
Belle Vue v Wolves KOC 1st Leg 10/4 12.00

That’s a blow, frustrating as would have been a big BH crowd and good pay day for BV. More money down the drain (pardon the pun). -
Sheffield -V- Belle Vue 23rd March
Speedtiger replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This meeting should be a cracker. Just a bit worried about the weather as looks a bit iffy. I will decide if to go later tomorrow. -
Phil Morris appointed Premiership CEO
Speedtiger replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And look what happened to him…he did a runner or was he pushed? -
It would be interesting and maybe conclusive if the PC list/letters could be published or posted on hear which would see who’s telling the truth or not once and for all.

List of Speedway promoters past & present.
Speedtiger replied to rearingtogo's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Thanks. I assume Tony Mole is also now retired? Graham Drury was a good old school promoter, didn’t Gary Patchett have something to do promoting with Nigel Pearson a while ago, maybe that is why he owed money to GRA? -

Brian, Is Gary Patchett and Graham Drury still involved in speedway? -
Phil Morris appointed Premiership CEO
Speedtiger replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No chance of Phil becoming a puppet, Im sure the promoters won’t interfere and will just let him get on with the job and be a success and then take the plaudits!! -

Phil Morris appointed Premiership CEO
Speedtiger replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Interesting, initially there will a positive spin on put on the appointment of Morris as CEO but if he becomes radical and makes or suggests changes that promotors with money invested in there clubs just don’t like, then the cracks will appear. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist but Morris isn’t really qualified as he has never run a speedway club let alone a speedway league and he will find out fairly quickly that unless you have skin in the game ie CASH you don’t have much clout. The power is always with the owners/promoters full stop. The job will be so different to running a well oiled and tested GP. -

Morris, the silver bullet we’ve all been waiting for..!! Kick them promotors into shape!! Good luck with that Phil. -
I don’t think for one minute that anyone would suggest PC illness had no effect on his wellbeing BUT I can not and will not accept that should excuse his disgraceful behaviour at the book signing and his disrespectful treatment of Mr Casey who actually bought his book only to have defaced with an insulting message. PC issue was with BV not with Mr Casey!
-
Thanks for this insight in to this issue. Most interesting. As I said in my post what isn’t clear in the book is precisely what actually went wrong with PC and BV and why by his negative actions he appears not to want to get things fixed when offered? Is this just about his daft free list or was their something else going on?
-
Just reading PC book I borrowed and he seems a little bitter about BV etc but to say he had a long running feud with BV going back to Perrin days isn’t really clear? I remember seeing PC in the pits at Kirky Lane most home matches and he didn’t seem to be feuding. Wonder where it went wrong?
-
Think this thread should be ditched looks very suspect..!! Plus not interested as I’m not a fan of Mr Pedersen. Dirty rider.
-
I assume you was/are part of the BV promotion as this is very interesting stuff, and your insight at BV really shows what truly went on behind the scenes.and how difficult and obstructive PC was apparently not responding to BV invitation to sort out things!!! It makes his disgraceful treatment of Mr Casey at the book signing even more despicable. His shallow apology doesn’t cut it for me., PC should be ashamed.
-
From what I can gather the issue with PC and BV promotions wasn’t genuine ex BV riders not being welcome, quite the opposite, it was the ridiculous list with a cast of hundreds that PC wanted to be let in free…his mates, old sponsors, people with little or no connection to BV or Speedway. Try to get free and watch at Man City or United…not a chance.
-
Ok, you can either view the PC ‘apology’ as a honest genuine apology or more likely a clumsy cynical attempt to try to repair the self inflicted damage. What still remains very puzzling is PC bizarre claim that he has had an ongoing feud with BV for 35 years, that doesn’t truly explain the main issue, that has upset many, as to why he wrote the hurtful and disgraceful note in Steve Casey book? From all accounts on here Steve was an honest broker trying to get PC back involved at BV!!
-
I think PC has effectively cancelled himself with his ridiculous demands of BV and now his disgraceful treatment of Steve Casey. Just shows what a self absorbed little man he really is.
-
I reiterate what PC did was disgraceful and i totally agree it was right that his pathetic action at the public book signing were shared so people could see what a bitter little man PC has become. Unforgivable.
-
I never personally met Steve Casey but saw him in the pits at BV and now and then watching last season at Owlerton. I’m aware of PC daft issues about BV but I said on the other thread that what PC did on signing his book was disgraceful and many will feel PC has gone from hero to zero. You did right thing Mr Pairman making this public. What PC did is unforgivable and people should no what a bitter little man he is.
-
I’m astonished, what PC did was disgraceful and he has gone from hero to zero.

When you see the depressed financial state of British speedway I would think the last thing on Brandon Estates agenda is developing a speedway/sports stadium!! The fact is property developers are purely looking a maximising the profit on investment and speedway just doesn’t stack up.
