My business credentials are irrelevant and please don’t try to shoot the messenger. The fact is the financial mess at KL and PB (plus the farcical mismanagement during his time at BSPA) is all down to Chapman. He is the owner and he has the full responsibility and no one else.

Ok you are entitled to your opinion which I respect but I am also entitled to my opinion and I feel Chapman has been a disaster for KL PB and the sport. How you can condone someone who tells lies is astonishing. Yes Chapman may have put money into KL but only to make money, no other reason. He thought he had all the answers and could take over speedway but It’s now backfired and he wants out. His mismanagement and very limited business acumen has got him into this mess and therefore he deserves to to face the consequences. I feel really sorry for the fans who trusted and believed him.

It’s abundantly clear that KL and Panthers are in a serious financial situation and in jeopardy of trading insolvently in that case the BSPA have only one choice and that is annulment to take away the operation licenses and take over the rider assets of the clubs as they have done a number of times with other clubs that found themselves in financial trouble. As tough as this is for fans, the plus side is it would get rid of incompetent fool Chapman from the sport once and for all and may, just may have a very slim chance of attracting a more stable owner with the required business acumen.

It certainly looks very grim and what a bizarre statement and strange action to take that will only add to the probability that KL will be closed down. The problems are all down to Chapman and his useless management of the club and that includes letting Brady get involved. He has only himself to blame for the desperate state of financial affairs at KL and accept responsibility and suffer the consequences. The truth is KL fans have been let badly down by Chapman and may end up losing there club which will be a loss to the sport unlike the village idiot Chapman who will not be. He is certainly not the saviour of KL but the destroyer and he should have been kicked out years ago.

Sadly I feel that the sport of speedway, not just the PL, is well beyond resuscitation. The sport has reached rock bottom, or maybe not, driven there by poor promotion and mismanagement and now the amount of serious investment that would be need to reverse things would not make business sense. There is no silver bullet, The sport is effectively bankrupt. KL are in financial difficulties along with Peterborough and Wolves Poole and Edinburgh are possibly in peril of not running and that’s only what we know…other clubs are clearly under financial pressure. According to submitted accounts even Belle Vue with its fantastic stadium and track and a winning team are losing eye watering sums each season. Like most clubs the attendance levels have gone significantly down and you only need to look on the terraces to see it’s basically hardcore supporters. Frustratingly it’s hard to see a way out of the downward spiral there’s no quick easy fix.

Spot on mbv…the whole business is a complete shambles and unless you are being sarcastic, please don’t hold your breath…Morris has no power or authority, or expertise, he’s just the hired hand and will do as he’s told! As I have said many times Speedway is financially and morally bankrupt and has been run into the ground by a bunch of clowns. Fans deserve better BUT they are the last consideration in this murky old business.

Totally agree mbv. The recent and current bunch running the sport haven’t got the acumen to turn things around. Clearly I’m not a big fan of Chapman because he’s been so bad for the sport and all the problems at KL and Peterborough are down to his incompetence and mismanagement but the way speedway has declined is much BUT not ALL down to him. The other Clown Prince Godfrey is nothing short of useless! As BSPA chairman what does he do? Not a lot, he’s more interested in running a small beer third rate club than the wider sport. I agree there’s no quick fix, no silver bullet it needs people of the right calibre and vision but as you say a few have tried to change and improve things and got the order of the boot.

Really nice bloke who’s been around speedway for years but left it a long time ago now…so not sure if he was ever at TM level, he was the Tigers centre green announcer at Owlerton years ago. Good luck Hoggy you will defo need it.

The whole thing is a self inflicted shambles and treats the loyal paying fans like they are complete idiots. This sort of shenanigans going on at KL and Panthers and the lack of honesty and credibility are driving what few fans speedway has away from the sport, probably never to return. The Clueless Clown Chapman and the rest of the BSPA may well wonder why the sport is in terminal decline into oblivion. I think it’s way to late and I’m sure they don’t but maybe they should read this forum and find out what there paying ‘customers’ the fans think.

Yes very interesting and time will tell and if he doesn’t show up as Wolves state in there preview, even more interesting will be the cock and bull excuse from shifty Mr Chapman who’s incapable of being honest and who clearly thinks Stars fans are as thick as pigsh*t like he is!! KL and speedway fans certainly deserve better than this.

Makes sense as Stars are going to get nowhere near the play offs or get money making crowds with or without Laguta, so good business is ditch him and save cash.

Don’t hold yer breath for transparency from Chapman BB! He is a slippery slimy operator without an ounce of respect. It’s all about him and screw the rest. You only need to hear him speak, he’s a thick as 5 short planks. He hasn’t the intelligence to be anything other than deceitful, just look back at some of the pathetic antics he’s pulled or tried to pull…what an idiot, the man has no scruples. The sooner the KL fans and sport gets rid him the better it will be.

Chapman has only himself to blame, as Chairman of the BSPA he did absolutely nothing to promote the sport and likewise with KL. He has overseen the demise of number of clubs and dramatic fall in fan levels for some time and now he’s whinging and whining about low crowd and how much the team is costing and he hasn’t got any money to put in…the sooner he packs up his cabbage patch track and sh**hole stadium and get on his tractor and out of the sport the better. Just watchin on TV…what a shambles of a meeting…the KL track is rubbish, the stadium is a dump, anyone watchin for the first time would be not be impressed to turn up and pay money to watch this crap. TV clearly shows not many fans has bothered to turn up and it’s no surprise why. The clown Chapman should throw in the towel and clear off.

I didn’t suggest that at all. I understand Brady left for “personal” reasons. What I do say is Chapman owns KL and as such he can not avoid his responsibilities.

That’s all well and good but that doesn’t excuse Chapman for his total incompetence in overseeing the demise of speedway during his time at BSPA and with what is happening at KL and Boro now! He’s is utterly useless and true fans will realise that… they are not stupid.

What a shambles but no surprise as Chapman couldn’t run a drinks party in a brewery! I feel sorry for loyal Star fans who deserve better than this incompetent clown. He was useless at the BSPA together with the equally stupid Mr Godfrey and clearly at KL and Pboro…what a depressing state of affairs these clubs are now in, all down to Chapmans disastrous mismanagement. The sooner Chapman gets out of speedway the better.

Thanks again. Seems like a bit of a mess. I’m not a fan of the clueless clown Chapman, who as BSPA chairman did nothing apart from run speedway into the ground and his running of KL is also a joke. Him back involved at any level must be a worry for loyal stars fans and the future of the club.
