  1. This is a very disappointing result with what’s a stake. The team is just not performing and we have carried riders who are really not up to it for far to long. The bv management is once again not on it and is not getting the best out of the team but I still think we are ok to make the top four. With a bit of luck.
  2. Agreed geoff, but you can not compare any other sport to football it’s on another planet. Having Sky Sports on board superbly promoting the sport live weekly at prime time was a golden opportunity and then losing them was a fatal mistake. The sport should have worked together with Sky to develop the sport instead Sky was seen by the BSPA as a ‘problem’ that were taking fans from the terraces. As has been proved time and again the people running the BSPA are clueless clowns. Sadly nothing will change with numpties Chapman and Godfrey in charge.
  3. Very good post. You hit the nail on the head, Sky was a great opportunity to develop and build a strong base for the sport. Unfortunately a big chunk of the cash was pocketed by one TR and the rest blew on unsustainable rider pay. Them days will never return as sports broadcasting has changed forever and sadly speedway just doesn’t figure. I’m told that the current BT deal is rubbish and in real terms brings in zero cash. The clowns at the BSPA are to blame, them and only them have now destroyed the sport which is beyond repair. How many clubs at the end of October will go the way of Workington, Lakeside, Rye House, Coventry, Oxford? Your guess is as good as anyone’s!!
  4. I never said I had all the knowledge, I was just stating a fact, But Middlo obviously has as he’s head and shoulders above most TM’s including our Lemon!
  5. Ok he struggled a bit at BV but Ricky Wells scored 10 tonight as a guest for victorious Poole. Maybe the clowns running BV didn’t try hard enough to get him going but the mercurial Middlo clearly did. Just shows again what a good TM Middlo is and what he has achieved with a rider. The clueless Lemon and his useless boss Smith can only dream of being at his level. They just make one dumb mistake after another. Very disappointing.
  6. Agreed and everyone knows that but the idiots who run BV and speedway agreed to run on nights that fans clearly don’t want to go to and thats losing them fortunes...!! You couldn’t make it up. If only the people running the show read and took onboard what’s on here things might change, BUT don’t hold your breath! It’s all to late.
  7. Really disappointing but credit to Poole. We have the best track and stadium in the UK, but sadly the worst TM and management. Lemon makes basic mistakes every meeting and the management are to slow to make necessary changes . Just not good enough and he should be sacked. If things continue like this we will struggle to make top 4. The future at BV looks bleak.
  8. Yeah yeah...as has been said, if the score had been reversed NM would have insisted they carry on...under the ‘we’ve got a flexible curfew when it suits us’ rule.!! The big issue here is no one seems to know exactly what went on, it’s all smoke and mirrors.
  9. ...so that’s ok then if we’re all cheating together....!!! And people wonder why Speedway is viewed as a joke sport.
  10. No. You know all the shenanigans that Poole have pulled over the years. Poole are the Uri Gellar of speedway...a rule is there to be bent.
  11. It’s fair to say each track may have a different curfew time depending on planning approval, Poole obviously have a flexible arrangement to suit themselves for when they want to pull a meeting.! I may be over suspicious but knowing the way the club operates, at 24-24 and 2 riders down it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that the paramedic was told to not rush back, just a thought!
  12. Agreed. Can not see BV doing big changes now. As you said should of been done weeks ago. Another example of how poor Lemo is as TM and how badly the BV club is run = Lazy and with NO ambition. Except the Colts!
  13. Belle Vue did and look what it’s doing to them...they are losing a fortune!
  14. Phil, I accept you are just an ordinary fan and probably ignorant of what goes on in the background but I have good contacts at BV. one is a mate of photographer who been at the club years and has access to lots of stuff. The other no a mechanic who also worked on the track when it was being build. So yes I do know what’s going on.
  15. I agree acef. Im not a fan of lemon, I think he’s a poor manager who’s living on borrowed time. He is slow to act and make changes and he makes some very basic mistakes but to be fair he’s not running the show. He’s the junior at BV as Smith calls all the shots as it’s all about money and his ego. Smith knows nothing about promoting speedway and actually nothing about running a business and thats why there’s a big problem at BV and why they are losing a massive amount of cash each season even though BV has the best track and stadium in the country! The way things are at BV and the sorry state of british speedway, I really fear for the clubs future.
  16. Don’t joke...it might just come true and that would be THE END...!!!
  17. I hope it doesn’t come to close but promoters up and down the country are now paying a high price to keep speedway going. Ok a lot of the problems if not all are there own making but the way things are going it will bankrupt some. The whole sport is in a tight mess. Very depressing. SO WHICH CLUBS NEXT...?
