  1. Perks, Clegg or Rowe for me. if a "spoiler" then Stoneman.
  2. Be a brave Promoter who'd take him on in 2020 after messing IOW and Eagles up so much, cost IOW play-offs and Eagles possibly a KOC and Shield? Add him to the long list of great potential unfulfilled.
  3. The racing was absolutely top class no doubt about that. Somerset is what it is a great track, good facilities built out of nothing in the past decade or so. What let it down a bit last night and is feedback to Promoters for the future is the lost opportunity in increased vendors on the tarmac area top of back straight. One burger van, a hot drink stall and 2 stand alone portaloos didn't cut it, nor the late arrival of an ice cream van as the sun set. It was an opportunity lost for 3-4 more food outlets, a mobile bar and a better Toilet arrangement and the space is there. The Car Park that seemed chaos on arrival actually got people out and away reletively quickly. Much good but just a few improvements needed to improve spectator comfort.
  4. Not the strength in depth in NDL this season as past seasons, especially with brummies and eastbourne moving up but the "big 3" make the semis plus Cradley. Impossible not to see Leicester in Final as Clegg cant ride in every race and Heathens have little else. Kent have a bigger home track advantage than Belle Vue and Bickley seems to struggle at Kent so could be very close but in current for Flint/Bickley/Bailey/Palin just have edge and I think Turn Two makes valid point about reserves so narrow BV win.
  5. Somerset; Edinburgh; Scunthorpe; Leicester - Glasgow would have better chance with Rasmus and Claus Vissing IF Cook in strop mode again..
  6. I think 40 to start with and up to 42 mid season I'm also convinced Nichol won't go to a weekend track like Eastbourne as they (Team Hagon) will want to get him on to Continent (Poland or invitational meetings) most weekends, that's way Becker has gone and seems to have worked well. Masons will know Hagons pretty well so no harm in making a bid.
  7. Would Len take a punt on likes of Stoneman; Wood; Coles; Perks if they became available??.
  8. Kyle Newman 4.93 ; Broc Nichol 4.34 and Drew Kemp 4.19 all on lowish averages any 2 of those 3 would fit!
  9. I think being midweek too will be big advantage in getting Adam as he will want to try to crack Poland at some point and exploit his French connections on the Continent with lucrative weekend bookings.
  10. little track like they used to have at Arlington returning is a great move by the Dugards (Martin and Connor) and Cook and should be a real boost for the sport and riders in the South East and the club. Got to be an advantage too to have a separate Training track like they had and will have. That saves the main track from over-wear and over use like we see at Leicester.
  11. Danyon or Nathan would be an improvement on Agertoft
  12. Adam is a Swindon asset and as long as we can sort out his Danish commitments would be great guy to build team around. I'd assume if we offer him a season deal he would commit and ditch Danish League. Garrity is fantastic to watch but like Ben Barker can be "high maintenance" and whilst would love to have him back comes with risks. Tero a "must have" in my opinions and fingers crossed Shansey is fit for start of 2020 season. I hope Brummies look again at Kyle Newman, he was asked to do a 2nd Heat Leader job in a weak starting 1-7, never had a chance and was dropped but has done well since and with some confidence restored would make great second string.
  13. Eastie fans i spoke to at Leicester yesterday seem to think Jordan is off to Plymouth and Connor Dugard coming back to run Speedway with Jon Cook and set up some kind of Junior Academy track at back of Stadium.
  14. talking to some Eastie fans at Leicester yesterday and they were very positive about season as a whole but not happy with Kennett or Wood. Eastie fans seem to think some management changes coming and Connor Dugard coming back which most seemed happy about.
  15. No sign of Cook. Not a great advert as once again Leicester track not in great condition, lots of falls on first bend and a bit one sided in the end although no lack of effort from Eastie. Good to see Leicester win a trophy though and very decent Crowd at both Fixtures I believe, certainly good at Leicester.
  16. Schlein average too high to cover Away as no 5% add on....basic stuff so wake up in Herne Bay!
  17. I fear Cradley already gone sadly especially if Wolves have more home Fixtures to fit in at Monmore. The fixation with Monday / Thursday is major headache for Kent if only 2 Leagues as option may only be PL. Unless any new tracks to join NDL - Buxton / Rye House / Oxford back?
  18. Nichol round there at reserve swings it just for me - narrow away win
  19. reckon Redcar v Glasgow will be Play Off final!
  20. been to eastie 4 times, crowds according to reports after the first 3 matches I went to were 1000; 1400 and 1200, last match I went to I would say about 1000 on that basis. new business guy there has been very open about what crowds have been and what they need and cancelled a match when he thought crowd would be low! biggest CL crowds I've seen by far have been Glasgow 1500 / Eastie 1000 / Leicester 1000 in that order. I think brummies averaging about 600-650 (have improved thru season), saw similar at Redcar and Somerset, would say about 400 at Scunny (haven't been to other CL this season) Been to Kent twice I would say 500-600, Cradley about same 500- 600; IOW once about 300, Stoke once about 200 and Mildenhall early doors about 450. In PL - Wolves regular guess about 800 and Swindon twice once was about 600 but few weeks back a lot more about 1200.
  21. Think it's a done deal and allows Buster to retain Monday / Thursdays Somerset / Sheffield (both primarily Thursday as first choice night) and Leicester (having divested his mates the bates of Sheffield primary night Monday) The bigger concern to many is how bare that leaves CL Berwick / Birmingham / Eastbourne / Edinburgh / Glasgow / Newcastle / Redcar / Scunthorpe I think of 4 remaining NDL Clubs (not 2nd string sides) Kent and Plymouth may be able to move up but BSPA would have to allow Kent to ride on a Monday, or do they invite Len to top table?? What then happens to IOW / Mildenhall?? - can they sustain a CL ?? If Buster cherry picks his 10 then I fear 3-4 of those left will close as either too much cost to move to CL or don't want reduced level of competition if CL quality is removed. Better option surely to tell BT to do one, have 1 major league split geographically (16 or more teams) and explore streaming route !
  22. doubt Eastie can have a Guest Sunday as World Team Long Track is on Saturday night - so Kennett will probably ride Sunday.
  23. Jon Cook and Co certainly made a few people eat their words this season.
