  1. Can only be 2 options surely? Premier or Championship? Cant see Poole in NDL or dropping out. Ford would build powerful CL team using assets. BSPA don't want a big league that's as clear as it can be. If Poole were to drop out and 6 Clubs in PL then obvious move would be to try to get Sheffield up and one other (Kent being widely suggested). Poole would be big boost to Championship and if regardless if Plymouth were accepted (doubtful with their past record) or not; would balance the CL more equally North and South.
  2. team that win celebrate, teams that lose moan - nothing changes.
  3. Fair play to Len and I hope they get the meeting on and over with 15 proper races and a fair result. The weather has really drawn in last 2 weeks and I think those sides who have already finished for the season are quietly happy that they have; and those still with Fixtures to run just praying they can find a dry few days for big matches and a big crowd too to cap off their seasons. Fine margins at this time of year with Fixtures / Crowds and Weather as sadly Workington and Lakeside found to their cost last season.
  4. cost IOW and Play Off chance, cost Eastbourne an excellent KOCup Final chance and probably the Cup, crap attitude to the Teams and supporters who pay his wages. what's to like?
  5. The improvements to Ipswich when I last went were noticeable and impressive. This sounds like a very sensible suggestion. I thought Spedeworth now owned Arlington too or at least ran Stocks there?
  6. i think Kemp is on a false average as I think at somewhere like Brum he could add 2 + points to it. I think Kemp will be as sought after as Broc and if we could get both would have us right in contention. I think Kemp might go to Sunny can't think after that where he might go?
  7. I think Flint and Gilkes have done exceptional well and had excellent seasons. ; Bickley at CL level for whatever reason has not improved in my opinion especially his Away form. Of the field now and compared to 2018 the point is the only really "new emerging names" are Palin and Edwards. Too many in my opinion who have been there at that level for too long.
  8. Thats a solid PL Team and you can probably add Richard Lawson who they still own I believe??
  9. 1 Perks 2 Clegg 3 Kemp 4 Rowe Hume + Wilson as biggest dangers. A shame that apart from Palin and Edwards no real "break through" youngsters have made it this year. League needs to root out likes of Perks, Clegg, Morley, Wilson; Hume if it is to get back to it's original purpose. Perks and Clegg can clearly cut it in CL; Danyon probably could if not so injury prone, Ben Wilson is retiring and Morley is a classic big fish in a small pond who sinks in a bigger pond.
  10. Got to be worth a look, after all live speedway and may be last time we see an iconic Club racing, hope not but every year they (Heathens) seem less secure and less well supported.
  11. Keeping Adam will be vital I think. I have said before no reason why Brummies should not go for Broc as I believe his backers will want to get him experience on a weekend in Europe and Polish D2 or 3. Tero and Jason would be ideal back up and Ashley deserves an injury free run Hopefully James will be back and fit if not how about enticing Zak back until he is. Tobias I am just not sure of, Drew Kemp was released by Sheffield and would be a great option on a false average. Do we know points limit yet??
  12. Credit to both Clubs riders and management for the way they got the meeting on and got to heat 10 and a result as it would have been a difficult one to rearrange. I decided to wait around to listen to the Clubs Press Conference and the Presenter there as the meeting finished very early and very friendly home fans made it a very entertaining and informative Event. What really struck me was the positive atmosphere and real supporter enthusiasm which is great to see and the way the Riders and Team Managers were very open about the season and the future.
  13. I'm tipping Brummies to win this. With no Lawson and Kennett returning after missing last few matches and Wood returning for first time in a month can't see anyone beating Adam round there and Brummies look solid here. Could be a competitive and tight match, looks like weather will just hold off until Sunday morning. Very little live speedway left to watch in 2019 so got to watch when you can.
  14. They do and very well it's working too towards rider development SDL/MDL more older riders and may be 250cc races and 500cc races included in same match are way to go for MDL SDL and even National Development League.
  15. are we talking Barry Bishop here, seems only one qualified in that area?? Think he deserves a bash at a higher level as very innovative and charismatic.
  16. I was sure I'd been to IOW on a Wednesday few years back. Must have had a good time and forgotten which day!
  17. ultimately be down to Barry Bishop and Len Silver to make something out of the remnants that offer the 5-6 Clubs who simply cannot afford to go up, or in the case of Kent can only go to PL as protected nights stop them moving to CL which they could certainly do financially and crowd wise, a product that can be viable based on 5-6 Clubs in the short term. Mildenhall and IOW are seemingly most at risk if there is no NDL option as Kent and Plymouth would at least seem to have a route to continue in PL/CL respectively.
  18. I support a Wednesday track and a lot of fans at our Club prefer midweek as so many other attractions on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday especially family related. Ask Barry Bishop why he races on a Wednesday and not a Friday or Saturday?? OK ours is a a centrally based City but Coastal place like Plymouth can be a mare to get to down m5 in summer due to holiday traffic and also have to consider tourists may be more likely to go midweek as come and go on weekends. There are already 2-3-4 CL Clubs running on gates of 400-500 and surviving, if Plymouth could get 500 they could do OK. Depends on building a compact team that can win at home at right price. Scunthorpe spring to mind as kind of crowd/team budget to aim at speedway wise. Maybe Rob Godfrey can advise them.
  19. Very glad the match is on. Well done Eastbourne, us 4 Brummies on the way on Saturday in hope and expectation of a good finale to the season Lets hope weather plays ball to reward Eagles honesty in giving full information.
  20. Hard to see a future for NDL?? Kent can only go PL surely? (Mondays) IOW crowds just can't support any higher level despite great Presentation? Mildenhall surrounded by Buster Clubs? BV Colts / Leicester Cubs? Plymouth brave move need bigger crowds / commercial income ? Rye House any news?
  21. have I missed something "Lawsongate saga" - a storm in a 5 minute teacup. It would be a PR catastrophe for Eastbourne to cancel the meeting . Looking forward to final chance to see 2019 Brummies in action
  22. Number of Brummies fans out of pocket when original Fixture cancelled in early August after BSPA told Eastie to ride KOC Tie. Would be a bit unfair to cancel again when a number of us have again booked Hotels for Saturday night. Not Easties fault but not sure Brummies would agree to cancelling again any way.
