  1. indeed. Although in some cases fewer matches mean less financial losses. A shame that there hasn't been more of an effort to alternate to fortnightly in some cases so Clubs have 2 home fixtures every 4 weeks. At least with followers of soccer / rugby they are atuned to that and wouldn't be as put off by it as speedway fans used to a weekly dose will be.
  2. Oh dear the bullies are out in force today.
  3. whatever... Anyway, looking forward to seeing Poole announce Pimlico PLumbers as new Sponsors...the PPPPirates.... Ideal when Danny "The Colander" Ford has been responsible for more leaks from Management Committee in a year than his old man in a few decades. Boom Boom
  4. Well may be you'd like to ask yourself and a number of other Poole supporters who seem hell bent on dissing Kelleher at every opportunity because he had some sort of bust up with Danny Boy??... Merely pointing out , given that others including Poole fans raised the issue of ZK once again, that his 2021 record was VERY COMPARABLE with both Cooks and especially the one he outperformed in the same team for most of the year including when he smashed a Track record held and challenged by such established riders as Craig Cook, Richard Lawson and Ben Barker and now by Richie Worrall. To be comparable to those at that venue clearly indicates wouldn't you say that he is far better than the complete waste of time and space some of you bullies are making him out to be. Your point in the context of the number Poole comments on ZK are hypocrisy with a capital H!
  5. if you are going to troll at least try to troll something relevant. saddo
  6. Yep, there will surely be a number of possible overseas riders , especially from Oz and US who will be thinking it's a hell of a long way and commitment for what may be as few as 18 matches in 6 months if they can't find employment in other Leagues across Europe.
  7. Very sad to see this character assasination of Zane Keleher for the alleged crime of arguing with a Ford. Interesting too to find out that he only took up speedway in his mid 20s after a successful MX career. He's had one season in UK and done as well most could have expected. Christ knows what flak he'd have had to take from Poole fans if he'd actually have been accused of something serious and faced serious charges in Court after arriving from Australia and bringing shame on himself and the sport. . Strange world where money and favour rules.
  8. Don't think Ablitt has ever had much luck. Had to ride for Kent in 2019 after Jon Cook returned to Eastbourne and took them up which deprived him of NDL there where he'd grown up and would probably been a shoe in. Had a bad concussion early on with Kent in 2019 debut season and missed most of season. Covid did for 2020. Probably lost a lot of confidence due to that deep concussion. Got NDL chance at Eastbourne in 2021 and did well. Got some CL chances there too before Club went bust. Had NDL spot at Belle Vue Colts in 2022 and with Poole in CL. Both very different tracks to what he was used to. He clearly needs some continuity which he's never had. Hopefully switch to Iwade, a track he's trained at a lot probably and time in Poland will give him space to gain more experience and ultimately back to CL
  9. Alfies been riding PB since his early NDL days and scored well a few times. He seems a fair bit more professional these days; than when he used to turn up with his mates in the NDL. If he can get guidance on set up's and dial in he'll be OK at PB but agreed it's not as technical as Plymouth nor as freaky and trick track as Eastbourne. He's ridden tracks like Kent (CP + Iwade) and IOW very well at NDL level once dialled in so PB should be OK once he settles.
  10. Fair play to Complin in that he stuck at it all last season and improved as race fitness returned. Unlike riders like Bridger and JP-B, in recent seasons, who came back talking a good race but who both vanished again pretty quickly. I think Lee has realised that to go to the next level; and towards a level he was previously at, he needs to shed some weight to help him get out of the starts better and strong rumours that he has done that. If he conitnues to regain fitness and sticks around, no reason why he cant get at least a 5 point average and aim higher looking at some of the other early reserve pairings and nothing breeds confidence like winning racing and enjoying racing.
  11. Stronger in the fact we have a No 1 who should ride most weeks and not rely on Guests. Sedgeman arrived in UK late and hungry and it showed in his Racing. The only niggle with him is that at times in the past he's sat in a comfort zone. Maybe he has now matured and realised he has to give 100% all the time. Riders like Bowtell certainly ride with passion and hunger and possibly we haven't had that in the recent past. Much will depend on Neisen staying injury free and James Wright or Neilsen becoming a solid and relaible engine room.
  12. Peaky Blinders and Happy Valley outstanding in my opinion. As for American football, having endured it on holiday... Any game that stops for adverts is a joke. I'd love to see them play either code of Rugby or Gaelic or Aussie Rules too full on for 80 mins without being able to stand watching for 80% of the game. Pansy game
  13. what a sad lonely troll you must be.
  14. That's bollix quite frankly. Since Danny boy publicly said he had plans a, b, c and a "dream team" No doubt Nathan asked or his dad asked, probably told he was in some permutations but not others and as an Asset did the respectful thing and waited. Would Danny Boy have authorised a move anyway until his own team was sorted? Nathan has been shafted by Poole and the Asset system and points reduction. The only inexperience he's shown is signing for a Club that spits out riders when it suits them
  15. I think with us and Danish League its- One bitten twice shy Twice bitten bloody angry If Morris is thrice bitten... Paranoid and ready to bite batrubbish Danish heads off
  16. Frankly if Nick Morris can't give full focus to Birmingham he should do one. I can't see Lawson and Worrall, Masters and Kerr etc letting their respective Wednesday teams down in this manner. IF he only rides in Denmark when not required for Brummies then fair enough, but it would leave a very sad taste in every Brummies fans mouth if we are going to be shafted by Danish commitments once again.
  17. Kemps emotional and behavioural biorhytms are rubbishe every Wednesday! Laurence is very thorough Mind you they aint much better any other day, he needs to mature FAST I agree with others Bowtell is far better bet, you will always get 100% from Bowtell !
  18. Sadly so many excellent local print journalists who supported speedway in their localities have vanished in the past decade and not been replaced. Many wrote for Speedway Star before the "Jack and Jill" corporate brigade arrived. Very few good local ones remain, we are lucky to have a chap called Richard Willford and Brian Dick who do what they can for Brummies and West Midland Sport. With the exception of Peter Oakes and Paul Burbidge in the Star very few proper writers remain.
  19. Very strange time to announce for a Club so allegedly media and maximum exposure savvy. New Year's Day Bank Holiday tomorrow. PL matches today and EFL tomorrow that will dominate local Media for next 2 to 3 days. I'd expect your No 1 to have the gravitatas to expect better than that.
  20. What a disrespectful piece of work you are.
  21. Loved trips to Hackney. A proper race track
  22. I think that by end of July your Tate will be a Pirate squeezed in at the time Roynon is ditched.
  23. Ablitt was always the best 2 point option available and still is. Once signed by Poole there was no better 2 point option at any stage of 2022. Roynon will be dumped just as soon as a 4 point Aussie proves fitness and their overall team average will be manipulated to facilitate that scenarii It's a shame Roynon can't see that probability as he'd have been a key player at The Coliseum. It's a shame Ablitt has committed to Polish U24 on a Tuesday as he'd have been a far better option than Trigger who's nowhere near ready.
