Matej Zagar used to get one of them when he rode for Reading!!!

Gone are the days of have bike and van will travel!!!

Interesting that Peterborough have snapped up Kennett, I wonder if he was on our radar, he was looking for a Championship place: "Edward is an experienced rider who had been looking for a Championship team place, and the opportunity was there to bring him in without disrupting the rest of the side, which is also important for us.” Would have been a good replacement for Rose, assuming he is not coming back anytime soon, or Robbo?

BRUMMIES v I.O.W. Wed 23rd May

Great to see Josh getting on the scorecard and impressing people. Hope he gets a team slot somewhere soon as can only be good for his development and good for Newcastle. He doesn't seemed to get pushed very hard in the second halves at Newcastle, so I think he needs more competitive racing to advance and kick on. Good Luck to him though.. -

I see Lewis Rose has stood down from his place at Kings Lynn, does this have any implications for the Diamonds, is he about to stand down?

Looks like a good pay day for Ippo and another piss poor showing from the Diamonds with the exception of Morris. -

Just a question, but if Palm-Toft is in to replace Robbo, would he not ride at 5 instead of 3 or have we shuffled the pack for this meeting? -
Good result for the Diamonds against a good Scunny team. I think the result may have been different if they had Stevie or better guest than Kerr, who will probably admit it was not his best Brough performance. Having said that we could point to points lost by Rose after his fall, as he did not seem the same rider (who can blame him) and Aarnio when it looked like someone forgot to put fuel in the bike for his first ride. Good points collected by both reserves and Robbo got better as the night went one. I wonder whether Aarnio and Wethers will be switched around as Aarnio seems to ride a similar line to Ludvig and looked to be getting in his way. Good performance by Aarnio and think he may be a trump card for us if he continues performances like that. Great performance by Garrity and I know he is not everyones' favourite but personally I think he is great and top draw. Love watching him race and would love to see him as a Diamond, Auty impressed me as well, probably one of his better performances around Brough. Onwards and upwards and Redcar on Thursday, then Berwick on Sat with the Bears on Sunday, should be interesting.

You may be right with that one based on current lineups, but I don't expect us or them to finish with our starting line-up. -

Would you say Redcar are equally as awful as us then based on the result at Scunny and I think they had 3 maxs against them? -

Disappointing we only had one race winner. Seemed to be a lot of retirements from our riders and disappointing if not unexpected from Lingren. Really needs to sort himself out. -

I wonder if we are having team suits this year and whether they will wear them tonight or unveil them at the first official home match. Guessing it will be: 1 Ludvig 2. Wethers 3. Rose 4. Aarnio 5. Robson 6. Wilkinson 7. Morris We are notoriously rubbishe around Sheffield so not expecting much from this one. Goooooo Diamonds -

Can see this one falling victim to the weather. -
The good old Bargh and Thorpe days which were then replaced with the Thorpe and Thorp days!!

Interesting that the Diamonds have been in contact with Jesper and Erik Gundersen to bring over some young Danes to fit in the team this year and George has not ruled out the possibility of bring them over during the season. I'm also intrigued to know who the rider is who turned them down after they had specified the terms and then turned the deal down!!

My concern is and I appreciate that we have still 1 rider to sign, looking at our first months of fixtures (full month), we have: Berwick (A) Berwick (H) Sheffield (A) Scunthorpe (A) Scunthorpe (H) Redcar (A) Redcar (H) Ipswich (A) Sheffield (H) Where are the points going to come from, I know were are notoriously bad travellers but to face Sheffield, Ippo and Scunny away in the first month, I can only see big home wins and I think we will struggle in the corresponding home matches. What impact will that have on team morale and attendances.
