  1. I would hope so, but will they be quality riders or the best of a bad bunch as has been the case in previous years!! We already know 7 of the riders, I just hope the other 9 offer some quality. We wait and see, but see my comment below, probs won't make any difference to me as I probably won't be there due to other commitments on the revised date!!! My memory is fine, but my point is we had plenty of opportunities when we had no speedway on weekends when the meeting could have been staged or other meetings staged. I also not the line "This scenario just makes us more determined to put on something special later on in the season." My concern is that if the lineup is s***e, people will not bother especially if the weather is poor as it often is this time of year. I was able to make the original staging and the revised one but am struggling to make the new date, which kinda p****s me off. BUt you can't please everyone.
  2. I therefore assume that the meeting will be packed with riders who usually grace the GP's, SEC or Polish top divisions as if not, you ask the question, why was this meeting not staged during the summer when we had great weather and no fixtures?
  3. Why not, someone stated that if it was Monday Jake Allen or Ellis weren't available, how does that affect the Diamonds, plenty other riders Redcar can call up. Dogs meetings are not run on a Monday and I'm sure it is our alternative race night. So in the interest of getting this fixture run, why not run it tomorrow.
  4. How does that effect the Diamonds?? Must be allowed to run on a Monday otherwise why have it as our other optional race night!!
  5. Weather not looking great, what the chances of it being rearranged for tomorrow?
  6. If those Bears weren't determined already, they'll be even more so after result at Leicester tonight. Time for the Diamonds to pour more salt into the wound. Hopefully a good match between two North East teams.
  7. Hope its a decent lineup as if its not people will stay away, not the usual rubbish that is served up as individual meeting at Newcastle, where only anyone who lives within 20 miles of the track is invited. I think this meeting will fall foul of the weather!!! Cheery I know.
  8. Same old same old from Diamonds at Berwick. Only Worrall and Jorgensen who put up much of a fight. Racing was gate and go and pretty much over by 2nd turn, track only appears to have one line, dirty moves further and further towards fence making passing limited and predictable. We'll done to Berwick, coped very well with Summers, impressed again with Flint, very impressive around Berwick.
  9. In my opinion Danny isn't up to the standard of the league, I've missed the last 3 matches and understand his scores have improved but does that mean he has improved as a rider, doubt it. In your team I would have Richie rather than Steve as think he is the better or more consistent rider, wouldn't touch Barker with a barge pole, too much baggage. I thought I'd read that Bach was done with the UK due to having a young family.
  10. “As has been our downfall this season, we can't get everyone firing at full power all at once, and if all the lads were we'd be having some great wins to look back on, but again tonight the home side were just too strong for us and deserved their victory.” Away-day frustration continued for Diamonds co-promoter Martin Phillips, as his side fell short in Friday’s local derby at Redcar. If I had a £1 for everytime I've read this about Newcastle I'd be able to buy Mike Ashley out!!!
  11. Another piss poor performance away from home by the Diamonds. 5+1 from Worrall, not the sort of score a number one should be posting.
  12. The team that we have now is the team that will finish the remaining fixtures barring any injuries!!
  13. I just watched it and thought exactly the same, I can just hear him in my head telling someone to f**k off in his Danish/Geordie accent.
  14. Who proof reads the reports and articles on the Diamonds website!!!
  15. This meeting, Roy mentioned it on Sunday, I assumed for TJ as they weren't expecting him back
  16. I still want to know who this alleged mystery rider is?
  17. It does not just cover the Tyne Bridge, I think sections of the Coast Road are included as well as most of the bridges crossing the Tyne with the exception of Scotwood and the A1 bridge next to metrocentre. Irs going to hit public transport as well and I think they will stop services travelling across the Tyne Bridge.
  18. Just put full meeting on a few weeks and then remove it, or put odd numbered heats or a 30 minute highlight, demonstrates the product the film crew offer and demonstrates what can be seen at Brough.
  19. Fantastic meeting and fantastic performance from both teams. Haven't enjoyed a meeting like that for a long time. I would have still gone home happy if we had been beaten as the meeting was fantastic. Hats off to Clegg and Wethers for the Diamonds and Josh Pickering for the Monarchs. I'm not sure what the criteria is for the 90th Anni meeting but send that boy an invite. Great debut by Ulrich, looks a good addition based on that performance, had my doubts about Starke after his first ride, too much head shaking, but put on a fine show and performance. Well done the Monarchs as well, it takes two teams to make a semi final and you certainly played your part. Hopefully we can kick on from here.
