Agreed. For me Pirates vs Lions Final will be a massive occasion. Mind u some bias there, as I support Pirates and me mate's support Leicester with Leicester being my local track -

Leicester can still get 2nd & I hope they do. Win over Kent at home and a win at Glasgow is more than possible. After Leicester had 7pts taken off em coz of Eagles departure I think that it would be a very deserving achievement -

My comment was tongue in cheek, kind of maybe?, but your correct about the other teams. It's going to be an epic end to the season who ever wins. I'm a regular at Leicester as it's my nearest track & my mates are Lions fans so there's quite a lot of banter between us, hope Lions get the other semi spot. I did see Edinburgh at Leicester the other week and it was a good meeting, do like Josh as he's got a great style and desire to race. You mention Kemp and Rowe but both had an off night that night but hope we don't meet you coz we seem to like to use them at reserve. Yes Scunny and Redcar, we still sticking the plasters on! But remember we have Basso on the Gasso who is, yes is, pure class......ermmmm well he's just got to remember to stay on! May the best team win #piratepride -

Wrighty wearing his XL kevlars so he can fit a sick bag in them as he's a tad delicate when riding the Waves of Wimborne! -

Yep c'mon on the Pirates. End the qualifying campaign in fine style. Again I can't make it but will be following the speedway updates. Can't wait for the play offs to get down to the coast & my fix of the Waves of Wimborne Hopefully the cup final as well. #PIRATEPRIDE -
Hopefully the Comets can get going at Northside? Met sum good folk at Workington, well i first met them on the Travel Plus tour to Poland in 2000. They put me up when I went up to Workington. Also Comets had a few of my club's rider's go there from Long Eaton after we had closed, the legend Stoney & Brent Werner. Also the association with Tony Mole & Graham Drury which was a great partnership at Long Eaton as well.

And he still is! Form is temporary class is permanent A quote I know from someone very close to him. "He may be having a sh*t season but he's still number 5 in the world! He'll be back! And I don't just judge a rider by wot they do on track, Tai is top class off it as well with his charity work and the personal things he does for his fans.

The NSS can be a leveller due to the nature of how it rides,. For example, Joe Jacobs & Jye Etheridge av beaten many a top class rider around there riding for Belle Vue so who's to say the likes of Bellego, Bergé, Lebedevs etc can't be spoilers? Those 3 are well established & very capable riders so to disregard them would be like sayin Southampton had no chance at Man City at the weekend!

Speedway man through & through. RIP Dave, God bless

Whoops, yep sorry Redcar can also reach 46 with getting a win & 4pts at Poole but even if they did our For/Against still wins.
-
GUARANTEE'S TOP SPOT Glasgow can only match our 46 but can't overcome the For/Against that we av. But we'll beat Redcar next week at home anyway. Maybe we shud get the champagne out like King's Lynn did in 2018 for finishing top when they'd won NOWT.......but then maybe NOT! #piratepride C'MON THE PIRATES!

Newcastle v Birmingham (Champ) 1830 19/09/21
lbw replied to TotallyHonestJohn's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Maybe so but if you want a future ......always look on the bright side of life? Any club/business, given the right management, can be transformed. So I'd like to think that someone will come in there & get things back on track -

I was at Newcastle for the Poole & Plymouth double header and sincerely hope Newcastle is saved. One thing I don't understand is how negative all the media is surrounding this meeting and the future of Newcastle speedway. Just look at the headline in speedway star, Diamonds not Forever. There's not even a question mark at the end of the headline which I think is bang out of order! Talk about kick a club when it's down!
