FINALLY! Josh Bates' (59.94 ) very questionable track record at Leicester was broken by Nick Morris on Saturday vs Redcar . It now stands at 59.81 WELL DONE NICK

All comes down to good man management and being able to put the arm round sum and kicking the ass of others in the same team. I had a boss once that was a complete a*se and I told him where to stick it! Please note.....this is no reference to anyone at Plymouth. Anyways I've no idea about Gary May & Henry, sometimes with the best will in the world personalities just clash & not a lot u can do about that other than to go separate ways. Crikey I'm up early today, soon to set off down to Plymouth on the train for a few days. C'MON THE PIRATES

Me thinks Bomber got the wrong idea when Gary May asked him to bring his own chariot to the Coliseum to ride for the Gladiators!

Leicester Lions v Redcar Bears 30/4/22

You have clearly been unlucky in the meetings you have chosen to attend at Leicester. 9 meetings in the 11 years since it's reopening is not a great ratio to meetings held there to make a fair assessment. Admittedly Leicester's track as deserved the negative criticism over the years but the fact of the matter is it now produces some good racing. Even last night with the unexpected battering of Redcar there were some fantastic moves being pulled. Heat 1 battle between Morris & Wright was sensational and it's to no surprise that the track record came out of it as they pushed each other to the extreme limit. I'm not a Leicester supporter but go most weeks as it's my local. I follow Poole as a supporter and their track as been appalling over the years even up to last season when a hole appeared from no where. Cracking racing there now, more than ever! -
All the best for young Dan, speedy recovery for a great talent. Never met him but know how much his speedway means to him judging by how gutted he was in the pits after the under 21 final at Redcar last year.

All the best to Barry, Martin & all on the IOW for a successful 2022

Maybe all tracks should be a figure of 8 like they av in banger racing......pause for thought...

29.04.2022 League: Scunny v Plymouth
lbw replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Get well soon Dan Good showings from Pirates duo Lawson & Ablitt Be great to see them both riding against Plymouth rather than for them next Tuesday at the Coliseum -
Got to be the most famous PIRATE fan ever? Av a sing a long with George Harrison

Funny enuff some one said that to me muvver when I was in me pram!

Sadly I'd say most tracks in British speedway are under threat for various reasons of not running the following season. I don't live in Poole so I don't 'pick up' the local feeling but they av the council on their side so I'd remain confident of them running. Trusting a council tho is dangerous stuff as we Long Eaton fans found out when they turned their back on us at election time. That was the Labour party!

Oxford won at Newcastle.........oh yeah ermmmm Newcastle kinda overlooked that for a mo
-
Agree, as well as supporting & travelling all over to watch Poole I also go to Leicester most weeks. Better to watch both at away meetings if u can get, seen Poole at Leicester & Oxford so far, both were very entertaining. The spread of heat leaders would also help club's like Newcastle & Birmingham who are on the end of most of the tonkings! There av been rules before where a team cud only av 2 riders over 8.50 or wotever the average was. If a club hasn't got the finance for a heat leader like Danny King then the BSPA should help finance the deal, it's their product as well which is on show. Never liked watching at Sheffield coz they used to batter teams! My first visit to the Pirate Ship should be against Berwick in May, Bomber likes Wimborne Road.

Is Tony Robinson the timekeeper at the Coliseum coz he's part of Time Team?

Rowe Rowe Rowe yer boat gently down the stream, belts off trousers down isn't life a scream! -
Funny how u mentioned Klindt coz I came on ere to suggest him as a perfect rider for Witches to bring in. He's served both my local club Leicester & the team I support Poole with true professionalism & dedication
