  1. I won't be there .......unless Diamonds get Nicki P, Ruthless & Bjarne back before Wednesday?! Pirates to win 60-30 Was at Leicester last night, Nick Morris broke the track record again now stands at 59.37 in a 55-35 win over Oxford.
  2. Changes could also be made further up the team as well. It's not just a case of replacing one rider , 2 or 3 changes or more could be made to improve the team. So frowned upon? Not if other appropriate changes are made.
  3. The counter argument; Newcastle need to bring some riders in that will immediately strengthen the team at home therefore increasing the chances of winning Newcastle need to start winning at home or the inevitable will happen & the crowd will start to drift away. I don't think Newcastle's circumstances allow any more time to wait for rider improvement especially from a rider who is so young & new to British speedway.
  4. Ben Morley good option if he's to replace Congreve. I was at Plymouth vs Poole & he more than did his job. I also saw him ride at Leicester vs Redcar, he battled away but bigger tracks no good for him, he's too slow. Shud do ok round Brough Park, that's all Newcastle need at the mo.
  5. Rowe as got plenty of potential like Ablitt at Poole. They will or should be given time by Leicester & Poole respectively even tho they are two clubs that demand success. At least one thing is on their side, it's no so easy to bring in Johnny foreigner any more. Ablitt is my talent spot from seeing him ride at Rye House in 2018 along with Max Perry
  6. A return for Nicki P? Well Bjarne & Crumpy av doubled up in the Premiership & Championship so I wouldn't rule it out. And he nearly rode for Sheffield......so who knows? when things change in Poland it cud happen. If he was keen it wud need sum serious backing on the finance though.
  7. Are you using VHS or Betamax? Yes there's always one smart ass and that's me!
  8. Be great in 2023 to av Swindon, Eastbourne & Northside operating no matter which league.
  9. Well I wouldn't want those folk driving a car coz they can't see where they're going!
  10. Maybe Bomber shudn't sign for a club but instead become a full time guest rider! He's helped us Pirates out on many an occasion, 2018 comes to mind
  11. Yep I'm with you on that as that's the bigger picture matey
  12. Oh I say everyone one must proclaim that the Pirates are amazingly indulgent in silverware! Toot Toot
  13. Liverrrrrrrpool Liverrrrrrrpool There we go that's an improvement! We gonna Win the Cup!
  14. All I know is the Cheetahs will get 'spotted' if they break any speed limits!
  15. Me thinks Leicester are tarmacing the track & putting 4 lanes in, plus a hard shoulder on the bends!
  16. I thought Wollf was a Gladiator & he wore a curly mullet on his head!
  17. I'm glad I'm not an Onion tho because I'd keep getting into a pickle! A Turnip just goes round the bend!
  18. Good to hear from someone who knows their onions
  19. Was that the array of bushes that went along the back straight?!
  20. I've also posted this under Swindon 2020 in the Premiership section. Filmed today 5th May by Lee Ashby. For me it looks like a stand is being built on the back straight because if the drainage etc was for housing surely u would see the drainage spaced out equally plus individual foundations for each house which there isn't. Please note I'm not a building expert. I'm confident it's a stadium being built tho but can't see it being ready to declare intention to run in 2023? I hope I'm wrong of course. And the dogs are still running there so that should give cause for optimism? I can understand Lee Ashby's concerns though because we all av had them or still av them about wot is actually going on there. I hope the Red Red Robins keep bob bob bobbing along there Would like to hear your thoughts........
  21. Bomber does what Bomber does. Pirates all at sea in that one!
  22. The Abbey video For me it looks like a stand is being built because if the drainage etc was for housing surely u would see the drainage spaced out equally plus individual foundations for each house which there isn't. I'm confident it's a stadium but I can't see it being ready to declare intention to run in 2023 but I hope I'm proved wrong of course. Also the dogs are still running so hopefully that's cause for optimism? Let's hope those Red Red Robins keep bob bob bobbing along
  23. Have you been to Plymouth to actually see the racing there first hand? I'm not a Plymouth supporter but went there for the very first time on Tues vs Poole. Hardly a 'toy track' when you see the breathtaking racing that it produces even tho it's small. Tracks are not about the size but how they are shaped to produce quality racing. I would say you need bigger balls to ride that track than say a Sheffield. The riders are closer together so if one rider comes off it's likely more will follow like dominoes. Toy track, nonsense!
