Poole Pirates Vs Edinburgh Monarchs 1st June
lbw replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yep, hope the Monarchs do find a solution to their Armadale situation. I am bewildered though after all the years that they've lived on borrowed time that Harkess, in the Star today, knows very little about anything. Aces planned when they knew Kirky Lane was coming to an end. Hey well -

Like to think there's a fair few Monarch's fans on the southern tour avin been at Plymouth last night. And fair play to the Monarchs as they nicked a point at the St Boniface Arena something us Pirates cudn't do! May be a little bit closer than I thought tonight? Or are the Monarchs just dialled in to the smaller tracks better? Anyways I need to get outta me Turnip bed to get me roots down to the Pirate Ship C'mon the Pirates -
The fly over as flown off somewhere! Roadworks were still present a month a go.

Everything about the Poole Pirates oozes success & I travel as much as I can from my Derbyshire home to support them. I was once asked why I support them considering where I live, simple answer is that they win things. So hate/love em .......I love em! #piratepride -

Poole Pirates Vs Edinburgh Monarchs 1st June

Once again, looking forward to my first visit to Wimborne Road this season after the Berwick rain off..........hopefully better look this time. Edinburgh, team not looking as strong as they are known for but Masters and Pickering should provide some good entertainment. Especially looking forward to seeing Pickering ride as gives it his all for all 4 laps. Will be interesting to see how Castagna, Hook & Thomson get on around Wimborne Road but I can't see them troubling the Pirates engine room too much. Pirates will be dominant overall though and I can see them winning 56-34. C'MON THE PIRATES -

27/28 May - Scunny v Leicester KOC
lbw replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Scunthorpe av a permanent paramedic anyways......GODFREY! Jeez Rob Godfrey! I think he tried to crack a Dad's Army joke in his statement when he said the Air Ambulance provided entertainment!!! He seems to forget that it wasn't there for entertainment! I can just picture Captain Mainwaring saying to him, "You stupid boy!" Who do you think you are kidding Mr Godfrey, if you think this is how speedway should be run?! Great to hear from Joe, update from hospital http://scunthorpe-speedway.com/?p=14402 All the best, speedy recovery -
27/28 May - Scunny v Leicester KOC
lbw replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Scunny av Redcar & Glasgow at home before Poole who are there on the 17th June. But it's on the night & available paramedic's it seems as per Godfrey's report on the Scunny website. Pays yer money takes yer chances which is no way to be thinking when attending a meeting at Scunny. Maybe all tracks should be made to declare how many paramedics & ambulances will be in attendance when the team line ups are announced??!!!!!! As you quite rightly ask questions Steve about attending when Poole are there............ Again, it doesn't matter how valid a club's reasons are for calling a meeting off the bottom line is this puts people off!......ok the weather is accepted, in most cases, for a call off. Hope Joe Alcock as a speedy recovery -

Yep Lions to win on aggregate, Dickson kicked ass after the 20 point defeat at the EWR last time. So with no repeat of that happening again Sunny Scunny won't be needing the polish! Hopefully us Pirates meet the Lions in the Final & not the semi's again. Always great battles & rivalries -
Durrrrrrrr! U must walk around dragging yer knuckles on the floor!

Oh, errrrrmmmm.......must admit he kinda gave that impression in the way he packed up at Leicester.
