  1. Didn't take long for someone to fall for it! Excellent manoeuvre Mr Shovlar!
  2. Now I know the answer to this one.....let me think a minute......bear with......bear with.....bear with.......I've got the answer somewhere......bear with.......bear with........
  3. Very well said. You have to think of speedway fans who haven't been to Cardiff and the racing & attendance on TV and then from that they decide if they should go. It's also extremely important to attract NEW fans to the sport & again avin seen that last night would it attract them? Imagine your watching for the first time & seeing riders wobbling around & Dudek just flopping over! You look then at crowd level & you would think.....no wonder not many go to this....wot is it called ermmmm wobbleway, slowway, am I going? NOWAY! Seems the SGP2 was a total cock up as well today. New people won't care about reasons about the heat or wotever they would just think wot a load of do da!
  4. They've closed gate 4 because of all the ruts & gate 3 is under investigation because a tractor fell down a hole! Gates 1 & 2 ain't looking too clever either!
  5. I'd say nearer 20,000 but those like Scott Nicholls make it up for the TV & say 50,000!!! But wotever the true figure it was embarrassing to see so few in a stadium like that. Yes I always wonder why I call him Whoops Scotty!
  6. So are u telling me that a smaller but FULL stadium with GREAT racing won't attract more people to the sport when showcased on TV?? Well if u were my marketing guy I'd sack u on the spot!!!! Hey well, we all better get season tickets for the ping pong coz Sky Sports seemed to av a similar opinion to u & that's why they dropped us for the ping pong!
  7. Glad u enjoyed it but watch it again and u may think differently with the track & ur crowd figure. Great night for Dan but a great night for British Speedway? I've only missed attending about 4 or 5 GPs at Cardiff including this year and understand the great atmosphere but on TV to a worldwide audience the meeting itself was turdge with an embarrassing attendance.
  8. The lads shud've took their motocross bikes with em!
  9. I have already congratulated Dan then u av to consider the wider watching audience especially after the fiasco of the British Final that I attended. You have to remember that the GP is being shown worldwide & u av to think of the overall impact it as on trying to attract people to attend. Imagine you live in Australia or anywhere in Europe, would u really want to fly over for that turdge! Seriously would u? If your not British wot are u left thinking about the winner? I won't ever be going to Cardiff again!
  10. Well away from the city centre? Wot bunkem!!! You can walk to the city centre in 30 minutes because I've done it! Train station 5 minutes walk from the stadium, 5 mins train ride to Manchester Piccadilly. Very good bus service from Hyde Road, again a 5 minutes walk away. And they cud run special shuttle buses for speedway fans from & back to the city centre. Not rocket science! The capacity may be smaller but it will be FULL. And Glasgow is welcomed by the FIM so u could have the proposed second British GP there. Manchester & Glasgow 2 major cities that actually have speedway teams unlike Wales that as ermmmmm how many???
  11. Exactly, wot a load of marketing nonsense that is. And it was supposed to celebrating 20 years of being at Cardiff?????? Oh me lordie wot a complete egg on face! They shud've had Ronnie O'Sullivan playing frames of snooker against the rider's rather than that shambles.
  12. Please Please Please move the British GP AWAY from Cardiff. That was the first GP I've missed there in about 12 years as it had lost its appeal and sadly I was proven right in my decision. The crowd level is no longer high enough to justify the event being held there & the track was disgusting & unfit for purpose as it endangered the lives of the competitor's. Disgraceful, embarrassing & totally unprofessional. So it's got a roof? The only other stadium is Warsaw with a roof. Get back to a track that isn't temporary & a stadium that will fill unlike Cardiff which is two thirds empty. Embarrassing attendance, embarrassing track.
  13. Excellent Dan, congratulations on the win
  14. Well Rosco can't spell even his first name correctly so wot ur saying is of no surprise
  15. I'm still travelling home to Derbyshire on the National Express as no trains today. Got numb bum on the Stagecoach from Oxford to Milton Keynes. Think it's just rubbing off now!
  16. Had to laugh as one of the stadium announcers kept referring to him as Bass-whoooo! That is how he pronounced it, we kept hearing "Benjamin Bass-whoooo" all night!
  17. I used to go to Cradley a lot in the 80's and all the Heathens knew how to team ride. Team riding doesn't mean u av to slow the race down but when ur with a slower rider the art is to sit behind them & to slow the opponent''s down. The throttle goes 2 ways and providing riders don't go chasing back wheels, which is dangerous, then the racing is as safe as it possibly can be.
  18. Poole Pirates are amazing, fantastic, supreme, going jiggle jiggle in the stands & on the terraces shouting "C'mon the Boyzzzzz" Just for clarification........ jiggle /ˈdʒɪɡ(ə)l/ Learn to pronounc move about quickly from side to side or up and down.
  19. Yep me thinks I know why u may be in a minority. How can the best pair be the one that finishes first & last. That ain't riding as a pair especially the last place if that is thru ef or exclusion. The art of team riding is something we need to see more of as it was back in the day. In the pairs 4-3-2-0 is the best way even if it means slowing a race down. That happens in league racing anyway with the traditional scoring system. In general tho u do av a point I think if ur saying the bikes are too fast/aggressive.....one bit of grip & away u go into orbit! Zaine Kennedy's recent accident was horrendous!
