  1. No different to paying subscription to Sky, BT, etc for live football matches or attending a match then the highlights are on say BBC the same evening. All about watching it live as it happens that's wot u pay for whether in attendance or on a stream where u can row row row yer boat... gently. I don't even know if the boat went down the stream on this occasion? Dunno. Why does it matter how long after the live event the highlights are shown? When I do a wee trump the highlights are to be noticed straight away. U can get highlights on YouTube of Polish, Danish, Swedish, Germany, Hungarian & others including Argentina soon after the meetings.f u av a rummage for the appropriate channels then click subscribe. I think it's called living in the modern world & the speed in which technology brings us all together for cuddly hugs & comfy pillows.

  9. Last of the Turnip Wine...... hiccups......burp......oh I say officer u r nawty but I like u! ......whoops, hiccups......where's Cleggy, shudn't he be in the line up?
  10. I'm going, I'll av lots of chips to eat & beer to drink if no one else there. They wouldn't want it to go to waste so I'm going large!
  11. Appreciate I've looked at the wrong info but imo there shud only be one average. All this GSA, Ave, Rolling Average, etc etc then u see unofficial etc etc all very confusing for my noggin. U see an average in the programme, the speedway star, on the British Speedway website etc etc & they're all different. But also add in when was the cut off point for the Champ Riders averages. I need a whisky & I don't even drink whisky !
  12. Steve is 3rd on his 2022 GSA Info on British Speedway website 2022 Rider Statistics - British Speedway Official Website
  13. Where there is no interest you create interest. Invite local cricket, football, boxing club's and many other local organisations along to speedway covering all ages & culture's. Selling anything successfully is about overcoming objections which is something I had to do as part of my job for 35years. Don't simply accept someone saying that they are not interested. Inviting them along free of charge is a good starting point to see if they their interest can be sparked. Anyways how can you speak for every younger kid in Birmingham in saying they have no interest in speedway..........utter twiddle twoddle!
  14. Oh Lisa, where's yer brolly? Or u cud've gone like I did el naturel with the bald head getting a watering! Only problem was I had cress growing when I woke up this morning!
  15. Would anyone know if Birmingham av ever, or any other club for that matter, actually engaged with the local community to attract more people? When I say local community I mean the diverse cultures in & around the area? Hardly ever see Asian, black & other similar communities at speedway. Av they been asked & are simply not interested?
  16. That's only because we changed back to the traditional Wednesday night where people want it & support it no matter the league. If the club was allowed Wednesday Premiership racing then they would move up with even bigger crowds. Thursday isn't supported so well for speedway in Poole hence the drop in crowd level even for the Premiership. It's the race night not which league for Poole.
  17. Boing boing boing..........weeeeeeeee! A liddle Pirate doing a triple?.....a triple?..... "Pike don't tell em yer name!".......off the end of the plank!
  18. 600? Where u get that figure from when Tolley himself said they get about 300 & best crowd was 500 & something. If a club drops down a league it's naive to say that they will retain the same crowd level of diehards. Even they can disheartened that's why the diehards av got smaller in number. That kind of naivety invariably closes club's down.
  19. Line-ups for the NDL Pairs announced https://britishspeedway.co.uk/ndl/ndl-pairs-line-ups/ See you all at the Lions Den on Saturday
  20. Whoops, me bus nearly crashed on the M1 slammed the old brakes on! I nutmegged the seat in front, boing! Thankfully all ok Just lost a bit more sawdust outta me noggin that's all !
  21. Who needs Cardiff? Nah, the heart of British speedway lies right under our noses...... British clubs
  22. Last night at WINborne Road was a demonstration of what speedway is all about. The racing & the scoreline may bring up differing opinions but I think something that none of us will differ on was that speedway was the winner. The fantastic size of the crowd, the family atmosphere, the kids constantly blowing on them whistles (& maybe the adults in weeks to come ), kids with painted faces, the mascot, free posters & riders meet & greet......... even the usual mobile phone torch light rendition of Sweet Caroline after heat 14 was further enhanced by the size of the crowd........it truly was a magical night for speedway and there was no bigger & louder a message, that could've been sent out to the representatives in attendance from the BCP Council, to back up that POOLE NEEDS SPEEDWAY To everyone present last night, to those that put in all the hard work behind the scenes & to the riders & management all of you take a bow, u did yourselves, speedway & Poole speedway proud! Oh what a night
